Chapter Text
Sabo didn't know what to do, he could either leave now or go get Luffy and Ace leave with them, his brothers. But if he turned back there was a chance that his father would catch on before he could leave and then he'd drag him back and then… then he'd harm Luffy and Ace. He could put them in danger, he had to leave alone. And yet something in him hated the idea of leaving without them.
Then he heard it, from down the street, there were shouts of “Come back here brat!” and “Stop him.” He peered out the window and there running down the street, with something that looked like medicine bottles in his arms, was Ace. Sabo cast a quick glance to the guard that was left with him, the man was asleep and was unluckily to wake up soon. In that moment, in that split second He made a decision, a stupid one and one that would change his life, but a decision all the same.
The young boy grabbed his metal pipe from underneath his bed and his top hat from his closet. He didn't have time to change his clothes. He'll have to do with what he was wearing at the moment then. Sabo truly hoped that the guard wouldn't wake up, he didn't have time to fight him, he didn't want to lose sight of Ace. He somehow got the window open without making any noise before jumping out of it.
He was in the second story so when he hit the ground he felt an electric pain shoot up his legs but Sabo paid it no attention, He had to get to his brother. He managed to catch sight of Ace as he turned a corner, there weren't many soldiers trying to stop him since most of them were at the port waiting for the celestial dragon.
He took off running after Ace, easily running past the soldiers. Soon enough he managed to catch up to Ace, despite the boy's attempts to shake whoever was running after him off. When Sabo was sure the soldiers running after the two of them were shaken off he finally spoke up, “Ace, it's me, Sabo. Stop running.” as soon as the words left his lips Ace froze. The older boy slowly turned around to look at him. The best way to describe the face of his friend and brother was shocked but he could see happiness. “What are you doing? Didn't they take you home?” Ace hissed, getting closer to him so he wouldn't have to talk as loudly.
“I got out.” Sabo admitted under the boy's look. “But this time it's for good, they can't catch me.” He said, determination clear in his voice. “Of course they won't, I won't let them, not again.” Ace said a smirk now on his face. “I have a plan.” The youngest of the two said voice now quieter. To be honest he didn't have a plan, what he had resembled more the vague outline of one.
The two children looked at each other, and they did not need words to understand that they were going to get out of here before continuing to talk any longer. Getting out of the city wasn't hard since most of the soldiers were gone, they only had to get past the few who were left which was fairly easy since there were only like two of them in front of the gates.
The moment Sabo's feet reach the soil of the forest he let out a sigh of relief. Home. He was finally home. “Come on.” Ace whisper shouted at him, grabbing his arm and tugging him somewhere. Soon enough he led him to a tree, sabo was confused until he heard a cough from said tree. Ace went around it and as he followed he saw a sort of opening that led inside the tree. Dadan was laying there motionless.
Ace didn't need to see his younger brother's face to know what he looked like. “She got burned in the fire.” He said his voice was much too quiet, unlike Luffy, Ace knew how to be quiet when needed but this was too quiet. He was blaming himself. Knowing his brother Sabo knew that it was because the older boy refused run.
They didn't talk anymore, Sabo quietly took over dressing Dadan's burns with the burn cream that the other boy got from the city. After the boy finished bandaging up the burns he finally turned to his brother. “We have to get back to the hideout.” Sabo was the first one to break the silence.
Ace paused for a moment, “I can’t carry her.” The boy said the sentence in a barely audible voice, it seemed like it physically pained him to admit that he couldn’t do something all on his own. “I can.” The youngest of the two said in a calm voice, because if Ace could do something on his own he would be by his side and help him with it, he was his brother after all.
Dadan wasn’t as heavy as Sabo thought, she was much lighter than the crocodiles. Both of the boys made sure to make as little noise as possible, partly because they were some soldiers in the forest, but mostly because Dadan was still asleep.
They walked for two hours before catching sight of the hideout. The first person to spot them was Magar, Sabo was pretty sure he saw tears in the man’s eyes but he made no comments on that. “GUYS THEY’RE BACK! ACE AND DADAN ARE BACK AND THEY HAVE SABO WITH THEM!” He shouted in the direction of the house while running over, clearly intending to take Dadan from him. The moment the man finished his first sentence, commotion was heard from the house and just a moment after he gave Dadan to Magar something tackled him and Ace to the ground. Rubbery limbs were tightly wrapped around both of the boys.
“HEY! Let go of me, you crybaby.” Ace shouted hitting Luffy on the head. The younger boy didn’t even react, instead he held the both of them tighter as if they would disappear the moment he let go of them. “You’re back!” Luffy said in between sobs. “I said, let go.” The eldest of three brothers said hitting the youngest once more, this time around there was more of a reaction. The rubber boy clutched his head in pain.
Sabo sent a glare in Ace directions, the older boy huffed before speaking up again. “I can’t die when I have a whiny little brother like you to protect.” He said to the youngest, who was still sobbing but now he was clutching onto Sabo like a lifeline. “SABO YOU’RE BACK!” Luffy said somehow managing to be louder than he already was. “I am, Lu.” He said, patting his little brother’s back, in an attempt to calm him down.
After a few minutes the three boys found themselves in the attic that they slept in, Ace and Sabo were changing their clothes since the formal's were dirty and the latter didn't have time to get out of his noble clothes. When Sabo finally had some of his old clothes on, because contrary to what most people think he has more than one outfit, they all just looked alike, he sat down on the ground of their room. Luffy immediately went back to clinging to him and when Ace sat down the rubbery boy clung to him too.
“I have to leave. It's not safe here any more. No matter where I go, if I stay on this island they'll find me.” The second youngest of the boys said looking at the ground, he couldn't force his siblings to go on the sea with him. They all wanted to set sail eventually but it was too soon, they were too young and weak, it would be selfish of him to expect them to put their lives at risk sailing the seas just for him. And yet Luffy didn't hesitate a single second before delivering his answer. “Let's set sail then.” The younger boy said grinning from ear to ear.
Sabo looked at Ace, most people knew that Ace was cocky, that he thought that he could take on anyone, but his younger brother knew that the eldest was far from that, he knew when to back down, he knew a fight that he had no chance of winning at a glance, he simply refused to do such a thing. “We'll have to steal a ship from Foosha village and we'll have to hunt a few animals as provisions.” The eldest said, and after knowing the older boy for so many years he could see it in his eyes, he wasn't going to let go of him even if it killed him. That almost brought tears to Sabo's eyes but he didn't cry because he wasn't a crybaby, that was Lufffy's job.
“Wait, why steal one?” The youngest asked, his arms still wrapped around his brothers. “Someone stole our treasure.” Ace didn't seem happy at having to deliver the news, and neither was Sabo because that complicated things a lot. “First thing first we should pack our stuff, then we go hunting and when we're done with that we can worry about the ship.” Sabo was good at planning, he had to be when he had two brothers who couldn't plan for the life of them.
“MEAT!” Luffy got up with a shouting, to which Ace hit him. “You know we're not going to eat it now, right.” The eldest said, and Luffy looked at him like a kicked puppy. “You guys do know that we're not going to eat it at all, we're hunting so we can trade it for other stuff.” Sabo clearfield and somehow Lufffy's eyes looked much more pitiful. “No meat?” The youngest asked with tears in his eyes. “Luffy meat would go bad in a few days, we can't have it on the ship.” Sabo said but before the young boy could start crying their brother hit him once again.
“Come on, we don't have time to waste.” The eldest said, grabbing one of their spare metal pipes. After the exicidete with Porchemy when his pipe got cut, they thought it would be better if they had spare pipes just in case. Sabo grabbed his own from beside him. It didn't take the boys long to back up their belongings, most of what they owned was still in the tree house so they had very little at the hut. Before leaving Sabo sat down on the ground with two pieces of paper. He wrote fast, not even giving himself time to check the grammar before folding them up and writing the names of the people they were destined to and tucking them under one of the pillows.
When they got out of the hut, bags slung over their shoulders Sabo spoke up once more. “Crocodiles and tigers would get us the most money, bears will also get us a fair bit.” He said already walking to the lake where the crocodiles were, they didn't have to be nearly as cautious as before since they were far from the grey terminal therefore the soldiers too.
After a few minutes of walking Luffy was about to trail away because of a cool looking beetle. Ace grabbed the back of his shirt and forced him to continue walking with them. “Luffy, we have to be done fast if we want to become pirates. And we'll lose time if you keep getting lost because of bugs.” The moment Sabo spoke the magic word ‘pirates’ Luffy grinned, showing all his teeth and for the first time he didn't get separated from them.
When the boys got to the lake Sabo hoped that Luffy wouldn’t get eaten this time. Ace was the first one to get rid of his bag and jump into the air to start fighting the animals, Sabo hoped that he wouldn't since he still seemed a bit injured because of the fire but he knew his brother would always go head first when it involved fighting. Ace got a good hit on the head of the beast but it only angered it. Sabo jumped it after him, raising his pipe above his head and bringing it down, managing to hit it once more in the same spot his brother did before. Just like that the animal was knocked out, probably forever, but the boys had no chance of checking on that since now all the other animals in the lake were eyeing them.
With a shout of “GUM GUM PISTOL” Luffy stretched his arm back and tried hitting one of the animals next to his eldest brother, the punch didn't manage to hit the crocodile but it managed to knock the youngest off his feet when his limb went back to its normal size. Just like that they chose their next victim, Ace jumped into the sky once more, getting a hit right on the crocodile's head making it fall to the ground.
The next half hour was a blur of them fighting crocodile after crocodile, by the end they had five adult crocodile bodies, one of which was caught by Luffy without any help. They would have to do multiple trips, and that would take a lot of time since the village was so far away. Sabo was busy putting his pipe into his bag, along with Ace's since he had more space in his bag than the older boy when Ace got a giant sadistic grin on his face. “Luffy, come here.” He ordered and when the seven year old got close enough he grabbed his arms. In less than a few minutes Luffy's arms and legs were wrapped around the five crocodiles and his torso was stretched so it could hold them without anything falling out. Sabo felt like snickering but he felt slightly bad at the fact they were using their brother as a sort of bag. Surprisingly Luffy didn't seem to mind much, he did say that it was mean at first but he quieted down soon enough.
Each one of the older boys grabbed an end of their haul and started to carry it. “Shouldn't we get tigers too?” Luffy asked from above Sabo. “It would be too much to carry, and we'll have enough money with these.” Ace said from the front.
The walk down to the small village on the bottom of the island took two hours but they eventually made it. Before they could get to a distance where the villagers could see them, they unwrapped Luffy from around the crocodiles. Each one of the three boys took a crocodile, Luffy getting the smallest one as usual, carrying them on their back even though it squashed their bags it didn't matter there was nothing valuable in there. Ace and Sabo hid the two other crocodiles in some foliage before they started to walk to the village.
They got there in less than five minutes. “Luffy you used to live here, tell me who’s more likely to buy crocodiles?” Sabo asked. “uhh don't know” His little brother answered, and he was sure he would have been picking his nose if his hands were free. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?” Ace yelled, and if his hands were free he would have been hitting him on the head. “Do you know who sells fish or bags?” Sabo asked, the people who sold fish were likely to want some crocodile meat and their skin would make for good leather for bags. “Oh the flower pants guy and Asum.” THe youngest replied, grinning. Sabo sighed, he had a vague description and a name which was probably not right since it was Luffy.
“Just show me where they are.” He said he knew Luffy would probably fail spectacularly at that task but he hoped that maybe because he lived so long in the village he wouldn't. Luffy started to run through the village, he was leading them straight to the docks. He ran into a shop with a giant fish shaped sign above it. "He actually did it.” Ace murmured disbelief edged on every line of his face. The two boys followed after their brother. The bell above the door chimed as they walked in.
There was an old man talking with Luffy and he indeed had flowers on his pants. The man looked up from Luffy to look at the people who came into his shop. Sabo was the first one to speak up, he was the best at negotiating so they normally left that up to him. “Good evening, sir.” He said making his eyes softer, people normally gave them more money if they played the poor defenseless child role. The man smiled back at him.
After more than fifteen minutes of negotiations Sabo managed to sell all five crocodiles to the elderly man, who he now knew was named Kairi. He even managed to get extra money by making a contract that would allow him to get 50% of the money he would get from Aisha, the owner of a shop that sold bags and other leather items. During the negotiations Ace and Luffy went to get the other two crocodiles.
Sabo walked out of that shop with one hundred fifty thousand berries in his pocket. It seemed like a lot until he realised that most of it would be spent on a ship and the rest on food. But if they didn't buy a ship they could get quite a lot of food, which they would need with the three black holes on board. “We're going to be food, now we can only get food that lasts for a long time and we'll need fruits and vegetables too.” Sabo said, and Luffy made an exaggerated pout. “But I want meat.” He whined and it was once again Ace who hit him on the head. “Idiot, we'll have nowhere to cook the meat.” He said scowling, Sabo could see tears in his little brother's eyes when he heard the news. “You can get dried meat.” He said trying to appease the child but he knew that it wouldn't work, Sabo wasn't too happy about the fact that they couldn't have meat either.
Ace and Sabo ended up dragging their little brother through the market buying things from different vendors. Soon enough the boys had multiple things, the food would last from a two week voyage if the boys were idiots and didn't eat everything on the first day. They nearly spent thirty thousand berries on food alone, they could still get a ship but they wouldn't have any money left and it would be a small one.
“Guys, we don't have enough money for a ship.” He said and there wasn't a second of hesitation before Ace answered. “Then steal one, we're pirates, aren't we?” He said with a smirk on his face, Sabo could hear the ‘chichichi’ of his little brother from next to him.
The three brothers walked to the port, their bags on their backs and the crates of food in their arms. Ace was the first one to act, he took a running start jumping on one of the ships he was closely followed by Luffy who jumped in after him, Sabo lagged behind to untie the boat from the dock before grabbing the crates he put on the ground and jumping in behind them. As soon as Ace put down what he was carrying he went to the edge of the ship and used his feet to push them away from the dock.

Dear Dadan bandits,
Ace, Luffy and I are leaving, I have no clue if we're going to come back here one day. However I felt it important to specify that our decision to leave is not your fault and does not stem from your incompetence as a caretaker. All that being said I would rather not disclose the reason why we're leaving. I would like to ask you to keep this news from Gramps for as long as possible even though I know that you won't do such a thing.
And Dadan we'll take care of each other, I won't let them run to their deaths. You're the best mother we could ever ask for.
Love, your three brats.
***
Dear Garp,
If you're reading this letter it is very probable that you already know what this is about, we left. The reason for our departure is that I am a noble and my parents are trying to get me back, they even succeeded. For the last few days I was locked in my room with no way out. I only managed to get out today because everyone was distracted by the world noble visiting us. I have come to the conclusion that I cannot stay on this island because no matter where I try to hide as long as I'm on the island they'll find me. That's why I wanted to set sail. The only reason Ace and Luffy came with me is because I'm selfish and they are my brothers, I refuse to leave them here alone. The people hate Ace and are starting to hate Luffy by association.
Now that you know all that I would ask you not to worry, Ace and I are strong and we can take care of Luffy, in addition to that we will not be setting sail to the grand line anytime soon.
I'm deeply sorry for dragging your two other grandsons into my problems, I hope you can forgive me. We love you grandpa even if none of us say it to you.
Love, your three grandsons.
Chapter 2

A little multi pov about the brothers adapting to life on the sea and the bandits reaction to them leaving.
Notes:
Ok so I’m so extremely sorry it took me this long to post an update, it’s just that there were a lot of things that I had to do and I did have time to sit down and write. BTW thanks for everyone that commented on the last chapter.
Chapter Text
Ace couldn’t believe it, he was out at sea. There was water surrounding him and his brothers as far as the eye could see. He was captain of his own ship, he wasn’t going to think about the fact that the ship in question was a stolen fishing boat barely big enough for the three of them nor that fact that the crew that he was captain of consisted of his younger brothers.
The oldest of the boys was snapped out of his thoughts when the second eldest spoke, which sounded more like a yell. “Luffy get down from the mast, you’re going to fall down and break something.” Sabo shouted from his place at the helm where he was steering the small boat, since he was the only one with any navigation skills he was left to be their navigator. “You can’t order me around, I’m the captain.” The boy shouted back in defiance, climbing up higher. “No you’re not, I’m the captain.” This time it was Ace who spoke because he was the captain. “What are you two talking about? I’m the captain.” Sabo protested.
Before the fighting could continue Luffy fell down the mast, just like Sabo said he would. Thankfully, he didn’t break anything although his stunned did earn him a hit not only from the eldest but also from his other brother. “I told you not to do that, didn't I?” Sabo screamed at Luffy, even though his shouting volume didn’t even match that of his brother’s speaking one. Luffy simply clutched his head in pain, giving them the most pitiful look Ace ever saw on someone’s face, as if they didn’t warn him that he would fall.
“Anyway, what was that about you being captain?” Ace asked, looking at his two brothers. “I’m the oldest and the strongest. I should be captain.” He announced. “I’m the one who made you leave Dawn Island, I should take responsibility. I’m the captain. Plus I’m as strong as you.” Sabo argued. “But I’m going to be king, I have to be the captain.” Luffy said, suddenly forgetting about his head.
“This is useless, we already had this argument before.” Ace sighed, this wasn’t going to go anywhere his brothers were just as stubborn as he was. “We're the ASL pirates, aren’t we? Then why can’t all three of us be captains?” Luffy asked, the idea was so stupid that Ace actually considered it. “But what would we do when we have to make a decision?” Sabo asked, he was always the one to bring up the important points. “We can vote.” Ace suggested. “That could work.” Sabo mused. Luffy grinned, showing all his teeth, the boy walked to the front of the ship. “ALRIGHT THEN, THE ASL PIRATES HAVE THREE CAPTAINS!” He shouted at the sea for all the world to hear. Sabo laughed at their little brother’s antics, his laughter showed his missing tooth which was starting to grow back, Ace laughed with them.
After half a day at sea Ace was really starting to get bored, the ship wasn’t big enough for them to be able to do their one hundred fights and since they were surrounded by open water there was nothing to entertain them. He was however saved from voicing his displeasure at the situation by Luffy. “This is so boring.” The boy whined. “There’s plenty of things to do, we need to hang up the flag, and the floors could use some cleaning.” Sabo said while still steering the ship, the second option didn’t seem too appealing but the first was. “I want to hang up the flag.” Luffy shouted, both brothers knew that it was just an excuse to climb the mast once more. “Just don’t fall down again.” Sabo said. He knew just as well as Ace that when Luffy wanted to do something he wouldn’t stop until he did it.
“Wait a sec I’ll go get it.” Ace said going to the below deck, the space was small and cramped, it was clearly made just for one person to sleep in and hold their belongings, but since they needed enough room for the stuff of three people they also used the sleeping space as storage. When Ace was hulling the stuff their Sabo asked him to keep their bags at the front so it would be easier for them to grab stuff, he was now grateful for the input that he earlier found annoying.
He opened his red bag, it had very few of his things. There was a singler change of clothes, a tooth brush, since Sabo insisted on the fact that he brushes his teeth, there was also there three red sake cups which he did not sneak away to get while Sabo was busy making sure the crocodiles were dead and he most definitely did not take them for sentimental reasons, there was the ASL flag, the first one the made and displayed proudly above their hideout and finally there was a red beaded necklace that he took from Dadan’s jewellery box. He held the necklace in his hand for a few moments, it was much too big for him to wear for the moment but if he cut it into three pieces they would make good bracelets. He smiled at the thought, we was going to give Sabo and Luffy a goddamn friendship bracelet, and that idea almost made him burst out into laughter.
He put the necklace back in his bag and tucked the flag under his arm. “Yo, Lu catch.” He said, tossing the flag at his brother. The boy grinned catching it, he went to the middle of the ship, where the mast proudly stood. The youngest wrapped his rubbery limbs around it and started to climb up. Soon enough he was at the highest point. It took him a few seconds but he let go of the flag and it fluttered in the cool sea air.
All three of the boy’s eyes were looking at the flag, the flag that they now displayed proudly, the flag that meant they were now pirates. Ace knew that putting that flag in their ship changed everything, it made them pirates, actual wanted criminals pirates. But he didn’t care because that flag also meant that they were free, free to do whatever they wanted to and free to go wherever they wanted to.
The moment was however disrupted by Luffy’s stomach growling. “I’m hungry.” The boy whined when he got down. That was a problem, since the ship didn’t wasn’t made for long distance travel, like what they were doing, it didn’t have a kitchen that meant nowhere to cook the food and nowhere to refrigerate it. That meant they were stuck with dried meat, fruits and vegetables, which Sabo insisted on even though they would rot quickly because of a thing called scurvy.
Ace could feel his older brother's senses tell him that Luffy wasn’t going to be pleased with dried meat, but alas there was nothing he could do. “We have dried meat and some vegetables, go get something to eat.” Ace said, nodding to the trap door that led to below deck. “Hey Luffy! Get me something too.” Sabo shouted looking at the compass and then at the map, he’s been obsessively checking them ever since they set sail. Ace could see it all over his face, he was worried they’d get lost.

When Dadan became Grap's drinking buddy she didn't know she signed up to take care of three brats who tugged at her last nerve, and her heart. As much as the woman would hate to admit it, hell she wasn't even sure if she expected the fact yet, but she loved those brats, they were her children now. her heart suddenly lightened up when she heard Sabo's voice, even though she was half past out and couldn't move an inch there was any unexplainable happiness that whelped up in her.
All throughout their track through the forest she kept waking up and passing out, but it didn't matter if the three idiots were safe. When they got her to the hut someone grabbed her, probably Magra since no one but their improvised doctor would dare hold her, that was besides Dogra of course, but he couldn't so it didn't matter.
She spent the next day in that way, between wakefulness and unconsciousness. When she finally got up the entirety of the Dadan family was sitting by her bedside. She was able to get up all on her own but someone had a hand on her back to help her get the rest of the way up. Someone else handed her a cup of water which she drank down in one gulp. It took her a few moments to realise that the person that handed her the drink was Dogra and that he was speaking to her but he kept stuttering, which he only did when there was bad news, so she couldn't make out anything. “Oh for fuck sake just speak up already.” She croaked out, her throat still parched. “The three brats ran away.” He said, his words spilling so fast she barely understood him. Dadan caught herself before yelling that the forest was clawing with soldiers and that they should go find them because that would mean that she cared, which she did not. “And what's new about that?” She asked, “They could die for all I care.” the woman added.
“Boss.” This time it was Magra who spoke up and she noticed that he was the one with his hand on her back to support her in case she fell down. “They set sail.” he said and even though he was a mountain bandit and wasn't supposed to care any less about those brats there was some much worry in his voice. “THEY WHAT??” Dadan screamed, forgetting that her voice was hurting and that she wasn't supposed to care about them. “They left letters too. One for us and one for Garp.” One of the men spoke up, it was probably Akira, he was one of the ones who spoke the most. Before she could ask for the letter it was shoved into her hands by one of her men, Kenji, he had a part of his pinky finger cut off, that was how he got her nickname ‘no pinky Kenji’.
Dadan was a slow reader she always was, being a bandit didn't leave much time for her to improve her reading skills but she read that letter in a record time. Those goddamn idiots, they even had the gaul to ask her not to tell Garp. The reason for her wanting to call the elderly man was definitely not that she was worried about the trouble those idiots would get into, it was because she would get in trouble if she didn't tell him. Yes it was definitely for that reason that she got up and ran to get her denden mushi regardless of her injuries.
She never called the grandfather of the children she was raising, when he gave her his den den number he told her to only call him if someone was dying or dead. This situation was neither of those but it was close enough, those brats won’t last a day at seas When the lazy little thing saw her it opened its mouth waiting for a snack, the old woman however ignored its action and picked it up dialing a number that even she memorised even though she never thought she would use.
As dadan waited she felt like it was an eternity that she was left to stew in her own thoughts. During her hasl to get to the den den mushi she didn't think of it but Garp would most definitely be mad at her but she, for some reason, didn't care. She was going to start gnawing at her own finger nails when the man finally picked up. “Grap!” She yelled, because she didn't know what else to do, the brats were gone, her brats were gone and that hurt. Maybe if she paid more attention they would still be here.
“Damn it you old hag, I told you I wasn't going to pay child support.” Garp said and she could hear the distinctive sound of him munching down on some crackers. The crush crush crush got on her nerves, like it always did but she couldn't care less. “The brats are gone.” She said she could feel tears in her eyes but she blinked them away. She was a mountain bandit, she didn't cry and yet she wanted to burst into tears. She saw the snail's expressions change to horror for a second before it went back to Garp's carefree expression. “Bwahahaha, so the brats are at it again.” He said his tone as happy and carefree as always.
“You don't get it.” She said, her voice quiet, too quiet for Dadan the the leader of the mountain bandits. “They sailed away. they're heading off to sea.” She said, it was only when she said it that it finally sink in, she always knew the brats would sail away, the couldn't keep their mouths shut about wanting to be pirates, she even got hit for their stupidity, but it was supposed to be when they're older, they're were just children.
“They what?” His voice was quiet, everyone that knew the man knew that he wasn't quiet, never. It was then that the fear started to creep back up, he was going to kill her. “They set sail.” She repeated. Oh god he wasn’t just going to kill her, he was going to skin her alive won't he? “DAMN IT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO MAKE THEM INTO GOOD UPSTANDING MARINES, NOT PIRATES” He yelled.”I'M A GODDAMN MOUNTAIN BANDIT HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO MAKE THEM INTO MARINES!” She shouted back at him. There was a moment of silence, the only thing she could hear was their breathing.
“They left you a letter.” Dadan said voice still quiet. “Read it to me.” He said, his voice going back to being quiet. Before she could turn around to holler at one of the other bandits to get her the letter she paused. They were sitting all around her, listening to the conversation. “One of you get me the letter and the rest fuck off.” She shouted at them and they immediately got to moving. Someone handed her the letter, she didn’t look up to see who it was.
When the room emptied she finally opened it. She wondered if it would be any different from the one the bandits got. She took a deep breath and started reading aloud. Garp just listened to her, he didn’t even interrupt once. By the time she finished the it she was seeing red. They locked Sabo up, they hurt him so much he rather take his chances on the sea than stay with them.
“I’ll find them.” That was all Dadan got from Garp before he hung up on her.
That was good, Garp was going to look for them. He was the hero of the marines, or so they called him although to her he was more like Garp the terror . But that didn't matter, what mattered was that he was really powerful, more powerful than she could imagine he'd find those boys. If anyone could find them it would be him.
