Blood stained lips glistened under the ivory moonlight, nothing but wickedness gleaming in his wild eyes that stared you down. Small flecks of red painted the corners of his mouth, running a smooth path down his chin only to fall onto the forest floor in fresh drops of crimson.
Taehyung could hear your heart beating rhythmically inside your chest, effortlessly pumping the adrenaline through your veins like wildfire, he could almost taste the sweetness coating his tongue. He wanted to feed on your delicious essence until he had his fill, wanted to drain you dry.
The terror in your eyes shone out even in the blackened night, with only the stars and moon as your guide away from the beast that was hot on your trail, hunting you, as your feet stomped ungracefully over the dirt covered path. Twigs cracked under your shoes, lungs expanded with every inhale of breath you sucked in greedily, and the crisp air of winter stung your throat dry.
Taehyung simply watched your figure become smaller in the distance, smirk adorning his lips at the thought of a good chase. He could have easily caught up with you in mere seconds, snapping your pretty neck and feasting on your blood until he was drunk with bliss. But he was a cruel creature, choosing to prolong the torture on the weak human, to inhale the sweet aroma of fear wafting through the trees.
“There's no use in running my dear, I will find you.”
Voice like velvet; satin and silk, deep like the ocean waves. It spread over your skin in a vicious trap, churning your insides as it rung heavily throughout the forest, gracing it in his presence. It seemed as if even nature itself was afraid of the creature who roamed the night, as the only sounds heard among the large oaks and tall blades of grass were your heavy heart beats and loud gasps for air.
It didn't take much for you to lose your grip, tripping over a rock with the point of your toe and falling face first into a wet pile of old leaves, the colors turned brown and edges withering away. Your fingernails dug into the earth, desperately trying to bring your body upright once again, to escape the clutches of the thing that strode after you so carelessly.
“I can hear the blood pumping through your veins, it smells positively delicious.”
His laughter ricocheted off the sky itself, sounding like thunder and lightening mixed into one. You had spent too long on the ground, too long thinking of your impending death that was bound to happen if you didn't move.
Your ankle throbbed the minute you stepped back onto the soles of your feet, sharp tingles shooting through your muscles and winding around your calf until tears were brimming in the corner of your eyes. Running was no longer an option, and you brushed your shoulder against the large round oak that rose all the way to the clouds, looming in hues of gray. You were exhausted, weak, and entirely too human to fight off the clutches of something so evil.
Soft hums of a sickeningly cheerful melody became clearer the closer it crept up on you, his face contorting into one of victory as he finally noticed you perched tiredly against the tree, hands shaking as you struggled to hold yourself together.
His footsteps came to a halt, reddened eyes glowing in the distance between the both of you as he stood no more than three feet away; waiting. With a biting force, you dug your nails into the bark and a sudden rage began to burst inside you.
“Get the fuck away from me!”
Behind your threatening words held a sense of panic, as you were left option-less and defenseless against the vile boy who looked at you with a predatory smirk; eyeing his prey before lunging for the kill.
“Now is that any way to talk to the person who ultimately decides if you live or die?”
You wanted to scream that he was no person, wasn't even alive. Instead you clamped your tongue between your teeth, the taste of copper filling your mouth and the scent making his nostrils flare.
He was so hungry.
His hands were dug deep into the pockets of his trousers, blond hair tussled and parted from the soft winds blowing through the night. You took in the white long sleeve shirt that was tucked loosely into his slacks, the first three buttons undone and undeniably painted with flecks of red.
Taehyung had fed not even an hour ago, remembering the beautiful woman he had bit into after she had pleasured him expertly so. For her grand efforts, he had chosen to end her quickly, out of the kindness of his dead heart. His fangs had pierced through her skin like butter, puncturing the artery in swift move until she was laying cold in his arms.
His tongue glided across his fangs in remembrance of the sweetness she had provided, the alcohol in her blood giving him a temporary buzz that he had welcomed greatly. But when he'd exited the deluxe hotel, is when he had smelled you. You; the sweet, innocent, fresh, human who made his mouth salivate with gluttony. No amount of blood could cure the burn in his throat until it was your taste coating the back of it.
“You'll kill me no matter what.”
Taehyung grinned at the tremble in your lips. “You're probably right.”
A new sense of dread weighed heavily in your chest, as the acceptance of your fate finally started to weigh in. You couldn't outrun him, couldn't even hide. With a shaky sigh passing through your blue lips, body cold from the near-freezing temperature that chilled you to the core, you pushed yourself away from the tree slowly.
He watched you with peeked interest, eyebrows raising at your lack of screaming and running; all humans were the same after all. Always begging for their lives, sending prayers to a deity that had its head turned the other way. Yet as you looked at him with defeat, shoulders squaring up in a courage you tried to possess, he wondered if he had been wrong about all humans.
“What are you waiting for, get on with it then.”
Taehyung thought that wasn't such a bad idea.
In a mere blink of an eye, he was in front of you, inches taller and hovering over your pathetic frame. He pinned your body with his against the oak tree, and even through the layers of clothing Taehyung could feel your heart hammering against his chest that held a lifeless one, unused for centuries and forgotten.
Your eyes were wide, struck with fear as your head tilted up to fully look at the creature that would be the one to take your life. With a guilt embedded deep into your soul, you realized show just handsome the beast really was. Even with maroon covered lips and fangs angled in line with your throat.
“You really are a pretty little thing.”
Soft knuckles brushed against your temple, running down the apple of your cheek to rest on the corner of your mouth, swiping against your bottom lip that quivered in despair. His other hand snuck up behind your neck, large enough to completely cover the base of it as his thumb stroked over your hairline almost tenderly.
“I'm going to enjoy every drop of you.” He leaned in, tongue wetting his pink lips in excitement.
“No! Please! Drink from me, just don't... don't kill me..”
Slurred words rushed past cold lips, pupils blown wide as they stared into ones that shone a bright red. He halted his movements, face even closer to yours as his threatening gaze lazily turned its attention to yours, lips perking in a satisfied grin at your useless pleads.
“You'd let me drink from you, if I didn't kill you?” He was amused, chuckling at the image of you shaking against the tree, hand tightening its hold on your neck. If he squeezed any harder, he'd snap the fragile bones in half.
“Y-yes.”
For the first time in all his hundred years of walking the earth, Taehyung was caught off guard. He did nothing but stare at you for the longest time, battling with his inner demons on whether he should just take his fill of you or actually fulfill your request. He was a creature of compassion after all, as long as he got something in return, that is.
The look that suddenly morphed onto his face told you that maybe keeping your mouth shut would've been the better option.
“What a strange human you are. Tell you what, you let me drink a couple gulps of your delicious blood and I'll think of sparing your life. What do you say?”
You kept silent, not letting a single word be muttered, instead tilting your head to the side and barring your neck to the creature, avoiding his deadly eyes.
“I'm done waiting for death. Get on with it already, you son of a bitch.”
Insults did little to falter his desires, his hunger only growing at your weak attempt at sounding brave, when Taehyung could feel your bones shaking beneath his hands, could hear your pulse beating wildly against your skin, the sound like a thousand drums reverberating in his ears.
He brought his lips to your neck, skimming them over your pulse while sliding his arm around your waist to pull your body flesh against his own, his head bending down to inhale your precious scent, fangs barely scratching the surface on the column of your throat.
With arms resting stiffly at your sides, you felt like a rag-doll in his clutches as he maneuvered you around to his liking, one hand resting on the small of your back while the other kept its position on the base of your neck.
A low growl came from the depths of his chest; like a wiled animals prowling in the night for the taste of fresh meat. You tried to keep your eyes off the fangs that seemed to reflect against the moonlight, sharp tips soon to be deeply bedded in your throat.
“Close your eyes little one, I'll try to be gentle.”
Words like fire, voice resembling rocks scraping across pavement, the boy was effortlessly a beautiful evil.
With eyelids fluttering shut, Taehyung watched as your eyelashes brushed the tops of your cheeks, throat constricting as you swallowed away your soon to be last breaths of fresh winter air. Tightening his hold on you, he parted his lips to press his fangs against your artery, thumb still stroking the soft hairs at the base of your skull. With one inhale, the sweet aroma filling his senses, Taehyung sunk his teeth into your neck in one swift movement and drank.
He swallowed in large gulps, eyes turning almost black as your sweet nectar coated the back of his tongue, sliding down his throat in heavenly waves. He pulled you harshly against him, the furthest he could while be dug his face deeper into your throat and fed like the starving beast he was.
The initial shock of his teeth slicing through your skin was enough for you to cry out into the silent night, eyes watering at the pain that surged through you, before fading into a warm buzz that left you more so confused than worried.
You could feel yourself being drained, limbs becoming limp in his arms and head lolling to the side to rest on your shoulder, his mouth following the movements; never letting a single drop of blood pass by his eager lips.
Growls of pleasure left him as he observed the rapid beats of your heart slowly fading into weak pulses, only little blood left to pump through your drying veins.
“I-I'm tired.”
Spots of black were dancing in your vision as you attempted to open your lids to take one more glance at the world you'd be leaving behind, the tall trees gathering together and reaching the heavens, the stars welcoming you with open arms, waiting for you to inhale your last breath and join them in the galaxies.
“Sleep my human, rest your eyes.”
Taehyung pulled back, eyes returning to their usual coffee color, lips glistening with blood, your blood, that was smeared delicately over the tops of his fangs. He stroked your hair, brushing it away from your face before leaning in to plant a chaste kiss to your still lips. You barely registered the act, eyelids feeling heavy and falling closed once again, his eyes of caramel brown and wicked grin the last thing you saw.
“Sweet dreams.”
Those words were your final lull into a permanent sleep, body feeling pleasantly numb as you forgot about the retched beast and let your existence float into the summoning sky.
He only smiled, hugging your slack body to his own. Your own blood was smeared lightly onto your lips from when he'd kissed you, and as he ran the pad of his thumb over the supple flesh, Taehyung couldn't wait until your eyes opened once again and shone a bright crimson.
“I'm think I'm going to enjoy you, little one.”
