Chapter Text
Bill’s therapy hadn’t been going well..at all.
He’d refuse to participate in about every activity, actually scratch that. He refused to participate in every activity.
The Axolotl knew they couldn’t let this keep happening. So what else could he do but put Bill in a human body to show him how much harder things could be? The Axolotl finalized their decision and had sent someone to grab Bill from his padded cell.
-
“Bill cipher?” The tall bug lady called softly from the doorframe.
Bill stopped his endless doodling for a moment. He took a second in the silence before he stood up, turned around and spoke up.
“What is it now? I’ve already declined every other therapy session.” Bill rolled his eye.
“Actually, it’s the Axolotl calling for you in his office.” The lady looked slightly nervous, her clipboard fumbling in her grip.
Huh. Strange. Bill didn’t know if he was getting euthanized or released. Though he figured the first one was more reasonable and possible to happen…boy was he wrong!
-
Bill was thrown into the Axolotl’s office—which was more of an endless void than an office, but who cares about specifics?— his handcuffs tight around his wrists. He didn’t know what was going to happen, the Axolotl had seemed normal. Not angered. Not happy. Not sad. What’s going to happen to Bill? Torture? Murder? No. Much worse actually!
The Axolotl told him he was going to be relocated into an organic human body and he will inhabit that body until he is dead. In which if he has been good enough he will return to his normal form.
Bill’s eye was wide with shock, he couldn’t believe what this big salamander was asking of him?! A human?! The very species he’d toy with? Bill quickly voiced his opinion of the whole situation
“No! I’d rather be euthanized! Just kill me instead! Literally anything else.” Bill’s protest fell on deaf ears as the Axolotl just shook its head slowly.
Bill, this isn’t up for debate. You’ll be our very first patient testing this. You will not fail, you will not die prematurely, and you will be redeemed. End of the discussion.
Bill was about to speak again until he felt a sharp pain hit the middle of his triangular body, his eye closed tightly before he could look to see what caused it. When his eye opened again..wait no..eyes?! He was falling from the sky, he flailed in the air for a moment before his back hit something rough, he winced at the pain. He continued to fall, branches breaking his fall but making it more painful as he fell.
When he finally landed a sting of coldness hit his body. His shoulder feeling numb but still sending shocks through his body to show he was injured.
Bill brought his hand up to his shoulder and felt a warm liquid instead, when he pulled his hand back enough to hover infront of his face, a red substance was covering his entire palm, even dripping onto his face. He knew this liquid all too well..blood. Bill coughed uncontrollably before stopping, huffing for breath. He leaned his head further back into the snow, he heard distinct noises. Leaves crunching, branches being moved, footsteps..footsteps?! Bill was about to move his head up enough to see who it was before he felt a stinging pain in his neck.
Bill laid his head back down and sat in his own blood..maybe he’d bleed out and die, maybe some wolves would eat him, who knows? Bill turned his head to the right before he felt his eyes grow heavy. He only remembered closing them for a second, but he can also remember them blinking open a few times, the first time he saw someone’s boots in front of his face, obviously crouched.
The second time he was being carried bridal style, he curled up in the persons arms, hoping to gather some of their warmth.
The third time he was laying on a couch, his shoulder bandaged and a bowl of soup on the coffee table in front of him.
Before Bill could register what all had happened he had passed out for good and had gotten himself a well deserved rest
