It's strange, watching someone you love fall for someone else.
When Kate finally realizes she’s fallen for Colonel Ibrahim, it’s almost amusing to see the panic in her eyes. Kate was good at a great many things, but when it came to matters of the heart? She had never excelled.
All the excuses she'd once given Osgood about why they could never be together didn’t seem to apply to him.
Osgood isn’t bitter. Or jealous. She thought she might be. But she wasn’t.
It was almost fascinating, watching Kate let someone in. All the way in.
