"You've only got one class left for today, right?" Nat asks from beside NuNew, the two of them walking across one of the college's courtyards together.
"Yeah, you?" NuNew checks his phone. He should make it to class just in time.
"One class, but then I've got a tutorial. Ugh. It's gonna take forever. I dont wanna cook tonight. Should we get pizza?"
NuNew chuckles. "Sure, that sounds goo–"
The thudding of a pair of feet speeding towards them is the only warning NuNew gets before two strong arms wrap around him from behind, nearly knocking him off his feet with the speed of the collision.
"H–Hia?" NuNew squawks, raising his hands to caress Zee's arms where they wrap around his shoulders, half wanting to push him off. They're drawing the attention of passing students – Zee now smushing his nose and lips against the side of NuNew's face, noisily kissing and sniffing wherever he can reach from this angle.
Nat's smug observation of the interaction further increases NuNew's embarrassment.
"What...? Hia?!" NuNew mutters, still being covered in kisses by his boyfriend, still being squeezed and swayed by those muscled arms. Sure, Zee is usually affectionate, but this is a new level of PDA.
Zee takes a break from showering him with affection to lean in close to his ear. "I heard it's National Hug Your Cat Day. Legally, that means I have to hug you every time I see you today."
A fond, soft laugh passes NuNew's lips. "I don't think that's what that means. And even if it did, I don't think kissing and hom-ing are necessary."
"Well, I disagree!" One more, drawn out kiss to his cheek. "I'm already late to my next class so I gotta bounce. See you later for more mandatory hugs! Love you, Kitten!"
Zee speeds off before NuNew can say anything more on the matter.
I love that silly man.
He's still watching Zee speedwalk away when Nat pipes up:
"So... I know you're not my cat..." He touches the tips of his index fingers together and looks up at NuNew through his lashes – the human embodiment of every pleading face meme the internet has to offer. "But may I have a hug, too?"
NuNew shoves Nat's shoulder playfully, the pair starting to walk again in the direction they'd been headed. "Let's focus on not being late for our classes, first. Hugs later. With pizza."
Nat winks. "Deal."
