Yashiro and the crew were hanging out again in the cafe near their school which was their often hangout place bacause of its good food and their godly drinks. They sat a far corner on the cafe where they wont hear the noise of other people and others wont hear them aswell. In those seats there were Aoi(glasses), Akane-chan, Kou, mitsuba, Teru, and hanako. There were laughing at eachothers joke enjoying each others company like they dont have a pile of homework to catch up on. Then amidst of that yashiro seems to get hungry for some unknown reason, she was confused since she just finished eating fries but she whatever she didint mind, she was craving cake anyway.
She now went to buy cake from the cafe, chocolate, her favorite. She was dying to eat it now wanting to share this chocolate goodness with her friends and talk about other people behind their backs, the usual. But things don't always goes to plan. As she was going back to her friends she seems to her them talking about her, not in a good way though talking about her like she was a joke. At first she didn't think much of it because maybe they were joking about something and she just misheard her name but as she gets closer she seems to hear it more clearer now.
"You know she just tries hard sometimes" Aoi(glasses) seems to say like it was the most normal thing to say to a friend. 'Me? But I thought you guys don't mind?' She said in her thoughts.
"I know right" an exasperated sight came from Mitsuba
"I mean she's nice but kind of annoying sometimes with her childish personality" Akane-chan said, her best friend on the entire world. 'I thought you liked that part of me' She said agin in her thoughts
"And look at her legs, like come on is she really human??" Hanako said jokingly, her crush. 'I thought you liked them since it made me unique' She thought
The brothers, kou and Teru also seems to ride along their joke like it was just a natural thing to do to their friend. Do they think of Yashiro as their friend? She asks herself. 'Maybe not.'
Yashiro was so shocked by what she heard that she didint processed it at fist because what do you mean her friends since high-school and the few person she would die for are just saying rude and harmful jokes to her like it a joke? Or like she's just a joke of a person? Do they not think about her feelings? Or what she will think if she heard that? But no they just continued like she wasn't arriving anytime soon from her errand to buy fold.
Yashiro walked back to her "friends" smiling like she hadn't heard the things they said, but that smile didn't seem to reach her eyes, wonder why. But they didn't notice, why would they? Do they even care? They didn't care for her feelings when they talked about her, why now would they notice?
"Hey guyss, I don't really feel well is it alright if I go home?" Yashiro said with a fake tone that you would even notice it, if you care that is.
"Yeah yeah sure be safe" Hanako said while playing around with his food
"Make sure you take care of youself" Akane-chan said while scrolling her on her phone
The others also said things like "get well soon" "stay safe" but their tone was not the tone you would use on caring for someone. Yashiro didn't care now, the thing she just wants now is to process all the things she heard and rest her heavy heart. She knows to herself that the things they said about her a while ago was the thinks they trully think about her, so she hurriedly find a taxi and went home with a heavy and broken heart.
