Sniper has the feels for Demo.
Is he going to go about it in a normal healthy manner?
Nope. Not in the slightest.

Work Text:

Mick felt like his head was splitting in half.

Like his entire being was being torn down the middle and tossed aside.

Over what?

Over feelings, over something he spent years trying to push aside because it made him like this.

It wasn't like he talked to Demo all that often. It was the occasional post-match chat, maybe a full conversation out at night if he was lucky.

Still, his day to day life was so lonely that every word clung in his mind like grease.

He woke up?

He thought about Demo.

He drove up to base in the morning?

He would see Demo show up.

Would he say hi?

Not a chance.

The pit in his gut whenever he saw the other walking around made him feel like a rabid animal.

He wanted to see Demo, he couldn't wait to see him again, he needed to see him again, and all at the same time, he needed to get angry and never speak to Demo again.

It wasn't fair regardless.

Demo hadn't done anything wrong.

Good or bad, every waking thought Mick had was about Demo.

Maybe he could say hi to Demo before he went off to spend the rest of the day with Soldier.

Maybe Demo hated him.

He hated him because he (somewhat) knew Sniper.

The Sniper who was cool and calculated.

And if he were to be as genuine and honest with Demo as the guy was with everyone else, it'd become apparent that Mick was nothing like that.

Maybe he was better off never talking to Demo again.

Wasn't like the guy even remembered anything half the time.

He'd stay in his camper till the jobs over, then never think about him again.
