Chap 1
Costanța, Romania. August 19 1941, 0838
It was a normal day, not really but anything to start with a good ol' boring incipt, the 4 destroyers of the Romanian Navy were gathered in a small storage room (that sucks but don't expect luxurious type shi from them!).
Mărăști and Mărășești are following their duty as flotilla leaders explaining every single detail of the upcoming operation, while Regele Ferdinand and Regina Maria are listening carefully (or at least, the latter is) and asking questions whenever they get the chance to.
At the end of the quick summary of the whole conversation, for whatever reason, it was time to ask questions again!
Mărăști: "So.... Do you two have any questions..?"
At first, Ferdinand didn't plan to say anything and pretend she understood everything but then a crazy idea crossed her mind!
Regele Ferdinand: "Actually! I do!"
Mărășești: "Ask away then, darling"
Regele Ferdinand started smirking smugly as if she won the lottery....
Regele Ferdinand: "Why is water blue?"
Her sister, Maria, deadpans and turns her head to Ferdinand's direction. She kept her mouth shut but by her facial expression you could tell she's questioning how and why was she related to Ferdinand at all.
Mărăști: "Ferdie are you seriou....—"
Mărășești: "Well why don't we take a look for ourselves, darling?"
Out of nowhere, Mărășești picked up Ferdinand with a little struggle and carried her outside the base while she was giggling, then she walked towards a bridge and dropped Ferdinand.
Mărăști and Maria are quiet in the room, after at least 14 minutes they both turn to the door who is slowly opening, revealing our infamous Mărășești who is beaming with pride
Mărăști: "....May I ask what happened out there? Also why isn't Ferdinand here? Please don't tell me you dr–"
Before Mărăști could continue the usual anxious rambling, Mărășești cuts her off
Mărășești: "I simply dropped her off a bridge, nothing bad. Now, we answered Ferdie's question, any other question?"
Maria raises her hand, signaling she wants to ask something too. Mărăști nods, silently telling Maria to speak up
Regina Maria: "Can Ferdinand swim?"
Mărășești: "Hmm.... Good question, I didn't think of that..."
Mărăști: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T THINK OF THAT?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MĂRĂȘEȘTI??"
Mărășești: "God forbid a woman is having fun...."
Regina Maria: "God doesn't appreciate attempted murders so he most likely forbids it, for your information"
Mărășești: "...I think I prefer you when you're quiet and submissive"
Regina Maria: "You don't own any kind of proof that says I am a submissive person in relationships. Actually, why am I even arguing with the same person who launched off a bridge someone who cannot swim..."
Mărăști: "DO YOU TWO EVEN CARE THAT RIGHT NOW FERDINAND COULD BE DYING???!??"
Regina Maria and Mărășești in unison: "Maybe, or maybe not"
Mărăști: "....I guess I'll have to go out there and search her myself since you two do NOT care in the slightest apparently"
Regina Maria: "Can you buy me a savarina while you're at it?"
Mărăști: "NO?? WHY WOULD I"
Regina Maria: "Whatever, not like I was desperate for it anyway...."
Mărăști immediately rushes outside of the door and runs all the way outside, bumping by accident into some older minelayers or admirals themselves. As soon she's out in fresh air with sun hitting all her features she starts searching for a struggling Ferdinand in the sea begging for air.
In the sea? There wasn't ANYTHING. She was starting to get real damn worried because what if she drowned?
Then, she takes a quick glance at the beach and catches glimpses of a small short woman with blood red hair. That was Ferdinand, no doubt.
Mărăști felt a pang of disappointment but at the same time relief because at least Ferdinand didn't sink before she even got to fight!
Mărăști rushes to the beach again, trips 2 times and gets up then finally reaches Ferdinand.
Ferdinand hear heavy breathing with occasional gasps for air and turns around, only to find the oldest destroyer of the whole gang and smirks
Regele Ferdinand: "Heh, you came all the way here for me? Well I don't mind having a female prince coming to save me from the depths of the sea, or sand whatsoever~"
Mărăști: "Ferdie.... Are you okay..?"
Regele Ferdinand: "Yeah, I've been rescued by a random guy on a boat whose name is Alexandru. Shoutout to Alexandru for real! My savior!"
Mărăști: "..You really had me worried there.. I don't know how you keep smiling like an idiot"
Regele Ferdinand: "Woah! You're hurting my feelings!" She starts now getting dramatic and fakes sobbing just for the sake of making Mărăști feel bad, but Mărăști is busier with regaining her breath and taking Ferdinand back to the storage room in the base.
After 48 minutes.....
Mărăști and Ferdinand come back, with a few sweets too picked up from a bakery near the base..
Regina Maria: "You two are back.... I thought Ferdinand died, what a bad time to say it out loud"
Regele Ferdinand: "What if I told my perfect little sister we got something she'd love with all her heart, hmmm?"
Regina Maria: "Like what..?"
Mărăști: "Well, we managed to get the last savarina on stock... And a few macarons, for some reason.."
Regina Maria snatches the savarina without even opening the bag, she just got it and grabbed her special spoon. This is quite out of character for the everlasting cold and serious destroyer but who is she to care when she has the love of her life?
Mărășești giggles at the sight of Maria, you could say she's mocking her but then turns to the duo
Mărășești: "You two mentioned macarons, am I correct?"
Regele Ferdinand: "Yup! We got 12 different flavors!!"
Mărășești: "In that case, may I have 4? Since we're in three who could eat them if we exclude the weirdly overjoyed Maria who looks like she won the lottery just by a bite of savarina?"
Mărăști: "Well alright... I guess I don't mind, I just wanted 2"
Regele Ferdinand: "Eh, I can always eat them for you"
Mărășești: "You'll grow fat if you eat 6, Ferdie~"
Regele Ferdinand: "I call that bullshit! There's NO way I could get fat! Bodies of shipgirls can't change!"
Mărășești: "Geez I was only joking..."
Regele Ferdinand: "Joking?! Say that to my face!"
Ferdinand jumps on Mărășești, pushing her to the ground and begins to wrestle with her while Mărăști and Mari were staring at them as if they gone crazy (they pretty much did but details...)
Regina Maria: "Thank you for buying me the last savarina remaining...."
Mărăști: "Heh, you're welcome anytime Marie. I know I denied it at first but since I found Ferdinand in good conditions I decided we could stop by a bakery nearby"
Regina Maria: "Hm...."
Regina Maria keeps eating her savarina while Mărăști eats a macaron like it's a normal tuesday
Ferdinand and Mărășești? They keep wrestling, kissing in a friends way and sometimes lay on the floor.
