The Crazy Train, a Special Tribute Story to Ozzy Osbourne

Summary:

A story I wish I don't have to write. It's my way of saying goodbye to Ozzy, who inspired me a lot through his songs. My tribute to the Prince of Darkness. SpongeBob and Patrick get invited to the Crazy Train to investigate a theft...

SpongeBob is sitting outside his pineapple house, having fun.

Suddenly the postman arrives. He is a Flying Gurnard, a unique fish found in Hawaiian waters. It's known for its large, spread-out pectoral fins resembling wings, that it uses to startle predators or attract mates, revealing vibrant blue and green markings. Actually they are not true flyers, because they "walk" along the seafloor instead of swimming, using their pectoral fins, modified with finger-like rays, and pelvic fins to "walk" or crawl along the bottom.

The Flying Gurnard postman fluttered up to SpongeBob's pineapple door, his iridescent blue and green wings shimmering in the underwater sunlight. He had a serious, almost reverent expression on his angular face, knowing the weight of the letter he carried.

"Delivery for Detective SpongeBob SquarePants," the Flying Gurnard announced in a somber tone, holding out a sleek, black envelope adorned with an ornate, gothic font. "This came directly from the Prince of Darkness himself, Mr. Ozzy Osbourne. I was instructed to ensure it was placed in your hands personally and promptly."

The postman's eyes held a hint of awe and perhaps a touch of nervousness, as if the mere act of delivering such an important and notable letter was both an honor and a responsibility not to be taken lightly. He waited patiently for SpongeBob to acknowledge receipt, standing tall on his finger-like pectoral and pelvic fins.

SpongeBob takes the letter, "Thank you!"

Patrick Star waddles over, jiggling with each step. "Hey SpongeBob, whatcha got there, buddy? Didja get a new jellyfishing catalog or somethin'?"

SpongeBob eagerly tears open the letter, his eyes widening as he reads the elegant gothic font. "Patrick, it's... it's from Ozzy Osbourne himself! He's invited me to ride the "Crazy Train" to help with a secret investigation!"

He shows Patrick the letter, which reads:

        Dearest Detective SquarePants,

I hope this letter finds you in the finest of underwater spirits. I am writing to extend a most cordial invitation for you to join me on my personal Crazy Train for an urgent matter that requires the keen eye and sharp mind of a true detective. I have enclosed two tickets for the next scheduled departure, which will be embarking promptly at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.

Please ensure you arrive at the station on time, and feel free to bring one trusted companion to join you on this clandestine journey. I eagerly await your presence and look forward to our collaboration in unraveling this tangled web of intrigue.

With love and dark regards,

SpongeBob looks up at Patrick, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Wow, Patrick! Ozzy wants me to ride the Crazy Train with him to solve a mystery. Isn't that incredible?"

Patrick shrugs, not quite grasping the gravity of the situation. "Sounds neat, I guess. Can I come with ya, SpongeBob? I wanna see a real train!"

SpongeBob smiles warmly, patting Patrick on the back. "Of course, buddy. Ozzy said I could bring one companion, and there's no one I'd rather have by my side for this adventure than my best friend, Patrick."

He holds up one of the tickets, grinning from ear to ear. "We need to make sure we're at the station bright and early tomorrow morning. This is going to be a journey we'll never forget!"

SpongeBob and Patrick arrived at the bustling underwater train station the next morning, their hearts pounding with anticipation. The ticket counter was adorned with Ozzy's iconic bat logo, and a large digital signboard displayed the departure time: 9:00 AM sharp.

Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed through the station, and the very ground beneath their feet trembled. The Crazy Train came barreling around the bend, its ornate exterior glistening with an array of glittering studs, spiked embellishments, and faded black and purple hues. The train's massive, reinforced doors bore the iconic Ozzy Osbourne logo, and the words "Crazy Train" gleamed in bold, metallic lettering.

As the train screeched to a halt before the awestruck duo, a barrage of thunderous guitar riffs and pounding drums blasted from the open windows, the raw power of the music sending shivers down their spines. The doors swung open with a hiss, revealing a lavishly decorated interior adorned with plush velvet seating, ornate tapestries. The train's design was a perfect blend of underwater aesthetics and Ozzy's signature dark rock aesthetic.

Ported by a tall, imposing figure in a black leather jacket and a top hat stood Ozzy himself, flanked by his loyal band members and security team. Ozzy's eyes met SpongeBob's, and he flashed a knowing smile, beckoning them closer.

"All aboard, Detective SquarePants!" Ozzy greeted warmly, clasping SpongeBob's hand in a firm grip. "I'm glad you could make it. And this must be your trusty companion, Patrick?"

Patrick blushed slightly, starstruck by the legendary rocker's presence. "Y-yeah, that's me! I'm Patrick, nice to meet you, Mr. Ozzy!"

Ozzy chuckled, patting Patrick on the shoulder. "Just call me Ozzy, kid. You two have a seat in the VIP lounge car, and we'll get this investigation rolling. I need your keen detective skills to help me unravel a mystery that's been plaguing the underwater rock scene lately."

Inside the opulent train car, they discovered a myriad of eccentric characters and jaw-dropping sights that seemed to pay homage to various stages of Ozzy's legendary career. Plush, velvet-lined walls were covered with an eclectic mix of band posters, vintage tour merchandise, and an array of Ozzy's most iconic outfits, displayed in glass cases that lined the aisles.

As they settled into the VIP lounge, Ozzy joined them, taking a seat across from the duo. He leaned in close, his voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper. "Listen up, you two. There's been a string of missing instruments and stolen music equipment happening all over Bikini Bottom. Accused musicians are being arrested, but I know there's a real mastermind behind this scheme."

Ozzy continues, his brow furrowed with concern:

"But the most disturbing thing is that someone had the audacity to steal the one and only copy of the ancient leather-bound tome, the legendary "Diary of a Madman", right out of the library car! That book holds the very secrets of the underwater rock scene's darkest history."

Ozzy leans in closer, his eyes intense and haunted. "I need you two to make yourselves at home on this train and start digging around. I want you to have a proper chat with "Mr. Crowley", our resident librarian. He might have some valuable insights into who could've pulled off a heist like this."

The Prince of Darkness rises from his seat, straightening his jacket. "I've got some pressing business to attend to, but I'm counting on you, Detective SquarePants. Solve this mystery, and you'll have done the entire underwater music scene a massive favor. I believe in you."

With a determined nod and a hint of a smile, Ozzy strides out of the VIP lounge, leaving SpongeBob and Patrick to their thoughts. "Good luck, you two. I'll be expecting great things."

SpongeBob gulped, feeling the weight of responsibility settling on his shoulders. He turned to Patrick, his eyes shining with determination. "This is it, Patrick. Our chance to make a real difference and help Ozzy solve this mystery. We can't let him down!"

Patrick nodded eagerly. "I'm with you, SpongeBob! Let's get to the bottom of this!"

Rising from their seats, SpongeBob and Patrick made their way through the lavishly decorated train cars, marveling at the gothic architecture and Ozzy's personal touches.

As they made their way deeper into the train, the duo encountered a group of long-haired jellyfish wearing Ozzy's signature "Crazy Train" hats. As they approached them, a pair of black-clad roadies ushered them forward, presenting them with " Crazy Train" hats.

Suddenly, a booming voice crackled over the intercom: "Free drinks now in the "Bark at the Moon" saloon."

SpongeBob and Patrick tentatively made their way into the saloon, when the conductor appeared, his eyes glinting with a manic intensity beneath his weathered brimmed hat. He extends a gloved hand, palm up, as he growls, "Tickets, please. And listen new travelers, 'cause I've got somethin to say about the rules 'round here."

He leans in close, his breath reeking of whiskey and cigarettes. "Rule number one, and I mean this with every fiber of my being, is to "Breaking All the Rules". Ain't no room for the meek and mild on this train. You gotta embrace the chaos, let it consume you, body and soul."

Himself chuckles darkly, "And the second rule is "No More Tears". Ain't no need for sorrow or lamentation in this domain. We leave our worries at the door, and dive headfirst into a world of unbridled, unapologetic madness. So "Breaking All the Rules" and "No More Tears", These are the rules you should know."

The conductor leans back, a wicked grin spreading across his rugged features. "So buckle up 'cause the Crazy Train ain't for the faint of heart. Embrace the insanity. Our next stop is the "Paranoid" city station. Have fun."

SpongeBob and Patrick gulped, their eyes wide with a mix of excitement and trepidation. They clutched their "Crazy Train" hats tightly.

SpongeBob: "Can you please tell us where to find the library car?"

The conductor's eyes narrowed as he appraised the duo, his gaze lingering on their nervous yet eager expressions.

"Ah, lookin' for the library car, eh?" He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that seemed to emanate from the depths of his chest. "Well, listen up, 'cause I ain't gonna sugarcoat it for you. The library car's a special place, a sanctuary for those who seek knowledge."

He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "It's tucked away in the farthest reaches of the train, past the "Crazy Babies" nursery and the "Dreamer" sleeper cars. Keep goin' until you can't go no more, and you'll find it. But be warned..."

"That library's guarded by a madman, a creature of legend known as Mr. Crowley. He's a genius, a savant, but he's also a wild and unpredictable beast. Treat him with respect, and he'll guide you to the truth. Cross him, and... well, let's just say he's got a temper as fiery as the brimstone he's rumored to have bathed in."

The conductor straightened up, adjusting his hat with a sharp tug. "But if you're willin' to walk the path of madness and embrace the unknown, then by all means, go on. The library car awaits, and with it, the secrets that lie within its hallowed halls. Just remember that in this world of madness, you gotta be crazy to survive. The Crazy Train don't suffer no sane folk."

With a jerk of his head, the conductor gestured down the dimly lit corridor, the shadows seeming to beckon the duo forward. "Now go. And remember, once you enter the library, there's no turnin' back. You'll be chasin' the dragon, and there ain't no tellin' where she'll lead ya."

SpongeBob and Patrick exchanged a determined look, their grips tightening on their "Crazy Train" hats. They took a deep breath and stepped forward, venturing deeper into the heart of the mysterious train.

As they navigated the winding corridors, the duo passed by an array of bizarre and wondrous sights. They witnessed a jam session in the "Bark at the Moon" saloon, where long-haired jellyfish and humans alike shredded guitars and pounded drums with wild abandon. The air was thick with the scent of whiskey and cigarette smoke, and the energy was electric.

Further down the line, they stumbled upon the "Crazy Babies" nursery, a chaotic den of diaper-clad infants wielding tiny plastic guitars and drums. The babies gurgled and squawked, their cries mingling with the discordant melody of their playthings. SpongeBob and Patrick could only shake their heads in amazement.

Then SpongeBob and Patrick ventured into the "Dreamer" sleeper cars, their footsteps muffled by the plush, velvet carpet beneath their feet. The air grew heavy with the calming scent of patchouli and sandalwood incense, putting them at ease as they explored the lavish accommodations.

Each sleeper car was a sanctuary of opulence and comfort, with comfortable beds draped in silk sheets and downy comforters. The rich, emerald green and gold hues of the decor seemed to shimmer in the soft, ambient lighting, inviting the duo to lose themselves in the surroundings.

As they wandered through the "Dreamer" cars, SpongeBob couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. Shadows danced on the walls, cast by the flickering candlelight and the distant echoes of Ozzy's music piping through the speakers.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of navigating the train's labyrinthine corridors, they arrived at the library car. The doors were tall and ornate, carved with intricate gothic designs that seemed to writhe and twist in the flickering candlelight. A heavy, iron knocker hung from the center of the door, shaped like a grotesque gargoyle face with a gaping, tooth-filled maw.

SpongeBob and Patrick looked at each other, their hearts pounding in their chests. They knew that beyond this threshold lay the truth they sought, and the madman who guarded it. With a deep breath, SpongeBob reached out and grasped the gargoyle's tongue, pulling it down with a resounding clang.

The door swung open with a ominous creak, revealing a cavernous room filled with towering bookshelves and dim, candlelit nooks. The air was thick with the scent of aged paper and the weight of untold secrets.

Behind a large mahogany desk sat Mr. Crowley, Ozzy's resident librarian. His long, stringy hair was tied back in a ponytail, and his glasses perched precariously on his nose. He looked up as SpongeBob and Patrick approached, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Mr. Crowley leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. "Ah, Detective SquarePants and his faithful companion. I presume you're here about the unfortunate incident involving the Diary of a Madman?"

SpongeBob nodded, taking a seat across from Mr. Crowley. "Indeed, I am. Ozzy mentioned you might have some valuable insights into who could've stolen the tome. Can you tell us more about it and any enemies Ozzy might have made in his time in Bikini Bottom?"

Mr. Crowley stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Ah, where do I begin? Ozzy has left quite the impression on the underwater world of music. There are those who admire him, and then there are those who... envy him. But the "Diary of a Madman" contains secrets that could bring the entire industry to its knees if they fell into the wrong hands."

Mr. Crowley leaned forward, his eyes glinting with a fevered intensity in the flickering candlelight. "There is a secret society that come to my mind immediately, Detective: "The Children of The Grave", a ruthless society of music industry tycoons who seek to control every aspect of the underwater music scene. Their enigmatic leader, the cunning Mr. "Snowblind", has long coveted the secrets held within the Diary, hoping to use them to consolidate her power and crush Ozzy's influence once and for all. He has the resources and the ambition to orchestrate such a daring theft."

SpongeBob: "May I ask how the theft happened? It's said that you have a very keen sight.."

Mr. Crowley: "Ah, the theft you ask about? He leans back, stroking his chin with a long, bony finger. Aye, I've a keen eye alright, and what I saw chills me to the bone. 'Twas a moonless night, and the train was rockin' to the rhythm of Ozzy's mad tunes. I was here, porin' over some eldritch tome, when a shadow moved where it shouldn't have."

He pauses, his voice dropping to a haunted whisper. "A figure emerged from the darkness, clad head to toe in a black cloak, face obscured by a twisted mask. He moved silent as the grave, slipperier than a jellyfish in a current. I watched, frozen, as he approached the sacred tome's resting place."

Crowley shudders at the memory. "With a gloved hand, he snatched the Diary and vanished quickly into the shadows. By the time I'd gathered my wits, he was gone, leavin' naught but the faint scent of brimstone and the echoes of their maniacal laughter."

The librarian's eyes widen with a mix of fear and awe. "I tell you, Detective, we're dealin' with a foe who has no regard for the sanctity of knowledge. They'll stop at nothin' to claim what they desire."

SpongeBob gulped, his mind racing with the gravity of the situation. He turned to Patrick, a determined look in his eyes. "We need to act fast, Patrick. If the Children of the Grave get their hands on the secrets in that book, who knows what kind of madness they could unleash upon Bikini Bottom?"

Patrick nodded solemnly. "I'm with you, SpongeBob. We can't let that happen. Let's start investigating and find out where that evil society could be hiding the stolen tome."

SpongeBob: "We appreciate your insights, Mr. Crowley. Time's a-wastin', so Patrick and I best be movin' on. We'll continue to scour this train from stem to stern before we reach Paranoid City Station, and that rascal thief could slip away from us. Wish us good luck!"

Then SpongeBob tipped his Crazy Train hat to the librarian in a gesture of respect before grabbing Patrick's hand and hurrying out the door. He had a newfound sense of urgency, knowing that every minute counted in their race against time. The stolen tome couldn't fall into the wrong hands.

As they ventured deeper into the bowels of the train, SpongeBob's keen detective instincts kicked into high gear. He examined every nook and cranny, searching for the slightest hint that might lead them to the elusive thief. Patrick stayed close by his side, his own eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of the cloaked figure.

They pass a room, where Patient Number 9. is written on the door. Crazy laughter coming from inside..

SpongeBob paused outside the door. He turned to Patrick, a glimmer of an idea sparking in his eyes. "Patrick, remember what Ozzy said about embracing the chaos and madness on this train? Maybe there's a clue in there for us."

SpongeBob knocked on the door, and it creaked open slowly, revealing a dimly lit room filled with eerie, old-fashioned medical equipment and strange, unsettling artwork on the walls. In the center of the room sat a figure in a straitjacket, rocking back and forth, a maniacal grin on his face.

"Ah, fresh faces! Have you come to join me in my revelry?" the figure asked, his voice a disturbing mix of joviality and madness. "I am Patient Number 9, you see. I've been here so long, I've forgotten what it's like to be sane. But perhaps you can help me remember!"

"I saw him, you know! The cloaked figure, the thief! He came in here, and he was hiding in the shadows for a while. Then he walked on, towards the end of this train."

Patient Number 9 let out a burst of maniacal laughter, rocking more intensely in his straitjacket. "You must hurry! He will get off the train at Paranoid City Station, I tell you! But beware, dear detectives, for the station is a place where the boundaries between reality and madness blur. You'll have to confront your deepest fears to catch your thief!"

With that ominous warning, the patient dissolved into a fit of crazy giggles. SpongeBob and Patrick knew they had to press on the search before the train stops.

As they approach the final car, they meet an old man, with long grey beard and grey traveling tunic, smoking a tobacco-pipe, blowing strange smoke rings...

SpongeBob: "Excuse me, Sir. Who are you and what are you doing on this train? I hope you are not a train-jumper.."

The Wizard: "No, I am not a train-jumper. Well met, Detective SquarePants and your trusty companion. I am "The Wizard," the most venerable and ancient traveler aboard this Crazy Train. My purpose, dear boy, is to bring a touch of joy and mirth to the weary souls who find themselves adrift in this maddening journey through music and chaos; to make people happy and causing negative emotions to disappear. I got something for you. Look over there!"

There, in a darkened corner, lies the crumpled form of the cloaked figure, his blood seeping into the train's carpeted floor.

"I've not laid a hand on the miscreant you seek, but alas, I stumbled upon a grim sight in the shadows of this car. I dared not disturb the scene, as I know the delicate nature of your investigation requires the utmost care and skill."

"I've already summoned the esteemed Ozzy to this location with haste. I do hope you can shed some light on this dastardly deed and bring the true culprit to justice. Time grows short, as the train draws ever closer to the ominous Paranoid City Station. I fear the secrets of the stolen tome could be forever lost. So what is your assessment of the scene?"

SpongeBob gulped, his heart sinking at the grim sight before him. He knelt down to examine the crumpled, bloodied form of the cloaked figure, being meticulously careful not to disturb any potential evidence. Patrick peered over his shoulder, his eyes wide with shock and horror.

Upon closer inspection, SpongeBob noticed the distinctive mask lying nearby, shattered and covered in blood. It was the same twisted mask Mr. Crowley had described seeing on the night of the theft. SpongeBob's mind raced as he realized this must be the thief they were after.

He examined the surrounding area, his keen detective instincts picking up on a faint, peculiar scent lingering in the air - an odor of brimstone and something else, something more disgusting.

SpongeBob: "Do you guys feel this smell ? It's the same as the one Mr. Crowley described. I think we've found our thief, but... who killed him?"

Just then, Ozzy burst into the room, his eyes widening at the gruesome scene. He knelt down beside SpongeBob, his expression grim. " I see you met The Wizard. "What did you find Detective?

SpongeBob: "He is definitely our thief. He was killed by a blunt object, a club or a baseball bat. And the "Diary of a Madman" was taken from him. I feel a strong nasty smell, beside the brimstone, pig stool perhaps? I see stinky footprints around him, pfffffftttt! These footprints smells like sixty pigs manure!"

Ozzy: "Wait. It smells like pig manure? I know who was here! The Miracle Man, aka Jimmy Sinner, a fallen televangelist, my arch enemy. I wrote a song about him, because in 1987 Jimmy was caught with a prostitute and became known as one of the biggest hypocrites ever to walk the earth."

Ozzy sings:

"A devil with a crucifix

Brimstone and fire

He needs another carnal fix

To take him higher and higher

Now Jimmy, he got busted with his pants down

Repent ye wretched sinners, self righteous clown

Miracle man got busted, miracle man got busted."

He lives in an old Church building in Paranoid City. It's more like a pigsty actually. At least 60 pigs befouled that chapel.

SpongeBob's eyes widened in realization. "Of course, it all makes sense now! Jimmy Sinner, the so-called 'Miracle Man', must have killed our thief and taken the Diary for himself. The stink of pig waste and the foul odor of brimstone are his calling cards!"

Ozzy's face darkened with rage and disgust. "That two-faced, hog-lovin' hypocrite! I knew he was rotten to the core, but I never thought he'd stoop this low. We've got to stop him before he uses the secrets in that book to fool more innocent people and amass even more power!"

SpongeBob nodded grimly. "Exactly, Ozzy. And with the train almost at Paranoid City, we're running out of time. We need to get to the station and confront the 'Miracle Man' before he can disappear with the book."

Turning to Patrick, SpongeBob gave a determined grin. "Patrick, grab that shattered mask and the cloak. We'll need to use them as evidence to connect Jimmy to the crime. And make sure to use those stinky footprints as a trail to follow him."

Ozzy stood up, a fierce glint in his eye. "I'm with you, SpongeBob, all the way to the end. Let's go confront that swine lovin' snake and serve up some long-overdue justice. Time to show the world that Ozzy and his underwater detective friend are the real deal."

With renewed purpose, the trio hurried out of the room, leaving behind the lifeless body of the cloaked thief. They knew the real fight was about to begin at Paranoid City Station.

Paranoid City Station

The Crazy Train screeches to a halt, its mad momentum finally spent as it arrives at the ominous Paranoid City Station. The doors hiss open, unleashing a gust of stale, fear-tinged air into the atmosphere. SpongeBob, Ozzy, Patrick, and Mr. Crowley disembark, their eyes scanning the gloomy, cavernous interior of the station.

Ozzy's nose wrinkles as he inhales deeply, catching a whiff of the putrid stench that seems to permeate the very walls. "Phew! I swear I can smell the stink of corruption and deceit from here. That no-good, pig-lovin' Miracle Man can't be far."

SpongeBob approaches the sole taxi driver, a gaunt, twitchy individual with a name tag reading "Crazy Jerry". The driver looks up, his eyes darting nervously from side to side.

SpongeBob: "Excuse me, Crazy Jerry. I'm Detective SpongeBob SquarePants, and I need your help. We're on the trail of a dangerous criminal, a man in an elegant suit with extremely filthy, stinking shoes - the kind that smell like they've been dipped in pig manure. Have you seen anyone matching that description around the station recently?"

Crazy Jerry gulps, his Adams apple bobbing up and down his scrawny throat. "Y-yes, sir! I did see a fella like that, 'bout 15 minutes ago. He was in a right hurry, too. Jumped in a cab and told me to drive to the old abandoned church on the outskirts of town. Said it was urgent church business, he did."

Ozzy slams a fist on the counter, his eyes blazing with intensity. "Damn it, that's got to be him! We need to get to that church, now. Time's running out!"

Mr. Crowley consults an old, weathered map, jabbing a bony finger at a spot on the parchment. "Ah, I know the place. The Church of the Holy Hog, a blight on Paranoid City. We must hurry, lest the Miracle Man slip away into the night."

The taxi speeds through the dark, twisted streets of Paranoid City, the headlights illuminating the crumbling facades of buildings that seem to loom ominously on either side. The stench of decay and despair grows thicker with each passing second as they draw closer to their destination.

As they arrive at the old abandoned church, the group is greeted by a scene of utter chaos and debauchery. The once-sacred grounds are now a pig pen, with dozens of hogs wallowing in the mud and filth. The church itself is in a state of disrepair, its once-pristine walls now stained with grime and graffiti.

Ozzy, his face contorted with revulsion, points to the entrance. "Look at this place! It's like the Miracle Man's personal pigsty. We need to get inside and confront him."

SpongeBob nods grimly, pulling out his trusty detective notebook. "Indeed, Ozzy. The stench of pigs is overwhelming, but we can't let it deter us. We must press on and bring Jimmy Sinner to justice."

Dozens of pigs oinking everywhere—wallowing in filth where an altar probably once stood. The church doors are crooked, covered in graffiti that says things like "Jimmy Sinner 4 President" and "Praise the Swine."

SpongeBob looks genuinely disturbed—which for him means he’s not smiling or humming.

Patrick: "Ewwww! Pigs everywhere!"

Ozzy mutters under his breath.

"Of course he turned God’s house into Hog Heaven."

No more talking.

They share one determined look—and then they march forward through pig-filled hell toward the church entrance.

The group cautiously enters the church, their footsteps echoing in the cavernous nave. The air inside is thick with the stench of pig waste, and stale communion wine. Shadows cast by flickering candles dance grotesquely on the walls, giving the interior an eerie, nightmarish quality.

As they venture deeper into the church, the sound of a maniacal laugh rings out from the altar. There, surrounded by squealing pigs, stands Jimmy Sinner. He is draped in an elegantly tattered suit, his feet encased in shoes caked with dried mud and manure. In his hands, he holds the Diary of a Madman, a wicked grin on his face.

Jimmy turns to face the group, his eyes glinting with malice and madness. "Ah, The great Ozzy Osbourne and his little band of detectives. Too late, you're too late! With this book, I shall unleash a new age of hedonistic revelry upon this world, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"

Jimmy Sinner turns to face the group, eyes wild with unhinged glee and a manic grin stretching across his filthy face. He clutches the ancient tome tightly to his chest. 

He takes a step forward, the pigs squealing and stampeding around him, their hooves churning the muck and filth into a putrid mire.

"You may have ruined my reputation with your scathing lyrics, Osbourne, but now it's my turn to have my revenge. This isn't just some silly songbook - it's the true Grimoire of the Prince of Darkness himself! With it, I shall ascend to heights of power beyond your wildest nightmares. You're all going to hell, and I'll be the one holding the keys!"

The moment Jimmy says "I'll be holding the keys to hell," Ozzy snorts. Not out of fear. Out of pure, unimpressed rockstar sarcasm.

"Ohhhh noooo," he drawls in mock horror. "A fallen televangelist with dirty shoes and sixty pigs thinks he can conquer darkness?"

"You stole from me," Ozzy growls, voice deeper than ever—no rasp now: pure thunderous wrath.

"That diary isn’t yours! It’s my truth! My battles! My songs!"

Ozzy holds out his hands, a fierce determination in his eyes. "You don't know who you are messing with, Miracle Man! Alright now! I can send you "Straight To Hell", if that is your wish. That book only obeys to me. I'll make you scream, I'll make you defecate!"

Ozzy's hands emit a blinding flash of light, and the tome slams shut with a resounding thud. It flies out of Jimmy's grasp, soaring through the air and landing firmly in Ozzy's waiting hands.

SpongeBob steps forward, his voice ringing out with authority: "Ozzy, let me handle this.. Jimmy Sinner, you are under arrest for the murder of the cloaked thief, theft of the ancient tome, and desecrating this sacred place. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you?"

Jimmy Sinner's eyes widen in shock and fury as the Diary of a Madman is ripped from his grasp by Ozzy's supernatural force. He staggers back, his face twisting into a mask of rage and desperation.

"You cheating bastard!" Jimmy screams, spittle flying from his mouth. "That book is mine by right! I earned it, I deserve it!"

He turns his wild, crazed eyes to SpongeBob, his lips curling into a sneer. "And you, Detective? You think you can arrest me? I am the chosen one, the anointed servant of the Lord! I have the power to heal the sick and to perform miracles! I am the Miracle Man!"

Patrick laughs; "Chosen for what? Being the world's smelliest hypocrite?"

Jimmy throws his head back and lets out a maniacal laugh, the sound echoing through the desecrated church. "You can't touch me, Detective. I am untouchable, invincible! The Lord protects me, and He will smite you down for your impiety!" - spittle flying from his mouth as he shakes a finger at Ozzy and SpongeBob - "Repent, you sinners! Repent now, or you will surely burn in the fires of Hell for eternity!"

Mr. Crowley steps forward, a wry smile on his ancient face: "Ah, Jimmy, you speak of things you do not understand. There is no Heaven in the sky or fiery pits of Hell..The greatest crime that’s been done to humanity is the idea of Heaven. This idea that there is a better place to live elsewhere, has caused so much damage to the way people live here for centuries. As they say "Heaven is there where Hell is and Hell is down on earth.." And the Kingdom of God is within, not outside."

"If the Kingdom of God is really a state of consciousness, then why would we need to repent? The word what Jesus uses written in original greek is Metanoia. Which was later mistranslated as repent.. It combines two words: Meta (change, beyond), and Noia (mind, understanding, perception). So it literally means change your mind. A shift in perception, a change of mindset, deep inner transformation. Not the repent sinner, or else bullshit! Not some childish fabrication of sin and punishment. Open your eyes, man."

Jimmy: "How can you say such things? Heaven is a blessed reward for the faithful. A place of eternal joy and peace, free from the trials and tribulations of this wicked world.. We must keep our eyes on the ultimate prize, even if this life is hard."

Crowley: "Can't you see that's the problem? The emphasis on attaining heaven and avoiding hell has been used by religions as a tool to manipulate ignorant followers. Since the reward will come in the afterlife, the person may not take his or her present situation seriously. You focus on your afterlife but at what cost? People are being abused, oppressed, and exploited in the name of religion."

"Not to mention that people tend to think they're special, the chosen ones, and it justifies their cruelty to others and other people from different traditions. It keeps people in a sectarian mood because they believe that only a specific religious path will lead to the ultimate reward."

"And the belief in eternal damnation, the conception of hell negates the mercy of God. The threat of hell is a tool of control and manipulation, not an act of mercy. That's not love, that's fear!"

"I want to be happy now, not just in some distant afterlife. I want to focus on the present, on making this world a better place, not just waiting for the next. To be kind, to be compassionate, to be loving to all people, not just those who share my particular faith."

"The real power lies not in the empty promises of religious dogma, but in the courage to embrace one's authentic self and forge one's own path. The real power lies in the strength to stand tall, to live and love with unbridled passion and honesty. The real power lies in embracing your true self, in living life on your own terms. What did you achieve by screaming "Repent sinner" mantra into other people's face? You just became the worst sinner yourself, seeking relief with carnal fixes and prostitutes...Believing and knowing is not the same."

Jimmy's face contorts with rage and confusion, his eyes darting between Ozzy, SpongeBob, and Mr. Crowley as if trying to find an escape from the harsh truths being spoken. He makes no move to resist as SpongeBob approaches him, handcuffs at the ready. He seems to be expecting a sign from above or something.

Ozzy: "Well, this is not a church, it's a pigpen practically. And you are the biggest, most obscene pig here. Let me give you a taste what this Grimoire can do." He opens the Grimoire, then he writes ancient fart runes on a white paper taken from the book and reads up a spell: "That will plague thy belly with bad shit and gas; and all of these will plague thy belly with great farting. May it burst thy guts; may thy farting never stop, neither day or night; thou wilt be as weak as the fiend Loki, who was bound by all the gods: in thy mightiest name Lord, God, Spirit; Odinn, Thor, Frey, Freyja, Oper, Satan and Beelzebub."

As Ozzy reads the ancient fart rune spell, Jimmy Sinner's face pales, and he staggers back, clutching his belly. The Diary of a Madman seems to pulse with an otherworldly energy, the pages rattling ominously.

Suddenly, Jimmy doubles over, a grotesque gurgling sound emanating from his gut. His eyes bulge as he lets out a long, agonized moan. "No... no, this cannot be! The power of the Lord protects me from such base indignities!

But the moans quickly turn to wet, splattering noises as Jimmy's stomach begins to churn violently. The stench of his foul emissions fills the air, even more putrid than the pig waste that already choked the church.

Jimmy staggers and wobbles, his legs threatening to give out from under him. His suit, once elegant and pristine, is now marred by the spreading stains of his own filth. "It burns... it burns like the fires of Hell itself!" he wails, writhing in agony.

SpongeBob and Patrick watch in a mix of revulsion and morbid fascination as Jimmy is wracked with the most horrendous case of diarrhea and uncontrollable flatulence imaginable. The force of his explosions rocks the very foundations of the derelict church.

Through his anguished howls, Jimmy turns to SpongeBob, his face contorted with desperation and despair. "Please... please, Detective, help me! I am a man of God, I cannot endure this degradation! Call it off, make it stop!"

Ozzy burns the paper and breaks the spell after he suffered for 10 minutes. "Alright Now! That's enough of this shit, pun very much intended. (He tosses the burning paper aside) Serves you right, you no-good, pig-lovin' fraud. Hope you learned your lesson 'bout messin' with forces beyond your control."

Jimmy is on all fours in the pig muck now—not preaching anymore—just groaning like an animal who regrets every life choice ever made.

SpongeBob: (Stepping forward, handcuffs ready) "Jimmy Sinner, you're under arrest for murder, theft, and defiling a sacred place. (He swiftly cuffs Jimmy) Let's get this filthy rat outta here and into the waiting police truck. Time to face justice, Jimmy."

Leads the cuffed, still-grimacing and reeking Jimmy out of the defiled church, Patrick and Ozzy following close behind, he can't help but feel a sense of relief and triumph. The Diary of a Madman is safely in Ozzy's possession, and a dangerous criminal has been brought to justice.

Ozzy claps SpongeBob on the back, a grin spreading across his face. "Nicely done, Detective. You've saved Bikini Bottom from a fate worse than death. That pig-lovin' fraud won't be deceiving anyone else with his 'miraculous' powers."

Patrick nods in agreement, wrinkling his nose at the lingering stench of Jimmy's misfortune. "Yeah, Ozzy. You showed that faker that there are consequences for his wicked deeds. The underwater world is a safer place without him spreading his filth."

As they approach the waiting police truck, SpongeBob turns to the still-protesting Jimmy Sinner. "Remember, Jimmy, you have the right to remain silent. And after that display, I suggest you take that advice to heart. Your actions have spoken louder than any words ever could."

He hoists the handcuffed con man into the back of the truck, slamming the door shut behind him. The stench of Jimmy's misadventure wafts out, but the satisfaction of a job well done overrides the unpleasant smell.

SpongeBob: "Listen up, officers. Take this steaming pile of excrement downtown and throw him in the slammer after a thorough hosing down. And make sure the cell is well-ventilated, if you catch my drift."

SpongeBob turns to Ozzy, extending a hand.

"And Ozzy, I can't thank you enough for your incredible help in nailing this filthy fraud. I don't say this lightly, but I truly believe we made a difference together today."

Ozzy clasps SpongeBob's hand firmly, his eyes glinting with a mix of emotion and weariness.

"SpongeBob, I need to tell you something...This was the last ride on the Crazy Train, for me. It's been one hell of a journey, but all good things must pass, as they say. I'm glad as hell that you were by my side for the final journey."

Ozzy leans in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.

"And listen, when "I close my eyes forever", don't forget what I'm about to tell you. No matter how dark it gets, no matter how much the world tries to beat you down, you hold on to this: "Never Say Die". You hear me, Detective? Never..Say...Die. Rock 'n Roll will never die. See you on the other side."

SpongeBob: "Before you go, I wanna say something. You've been a real inspiration, Ozzy. Living life on your own terms, never backing down no matter what. That 'Never Say Die' attitude, it's very infectious, you know?"

"I am gonna carry your spirit with me, keeping that rebel flame alive. This ain't no goodbye, it's an an opportunity to say: "Thank you"...For everything. I will not forget you.. This ain't goodbye, it's just see you later. Catch you on the other side."

Ozzy carefully, almost reverently, hands the ancient tome to Mr. Crowley.

"And Mr. Crowley, old friend, I'm trusting you with something precious. See that it stays safe, and out of the wrong hands. Promise me."

Mr. Crowley nods solemnly, his grip tightening on the Diary of a Madman.

"I swear it, Ozzy. I will guard it with my life, as I have always guarded the secrets of this train. You have my word."

Ozzy takes a deep, shuddering breath, a serene smile spreading across his face as he begins to sing softly

"Mama, I'm coming home... I'm coming home..."

As the melody fills the air, with a final, roguish wink, Ozzy begins to fade away, his spectral form dissipating like mist in the morning sun. With a final, gentle sigh, he is gone, leaving behind the echoes of his words and the weight of his legacy.

SpongeBob, Patrick, and Mr. Crowley stand in silence, each lost in their own thoughts and memories..

Patrick sniffles, wiping a tear from his eye. "Goodbye Ozzy... you were the greatest friend I could ask for. I'll never forget the adventures we had on the Crazy Train. Never say die, just like you said..."

SpongeBob swallows the lump in his throat, his voice thick with emotion. "Farewell, Ozzy. It was an honor to call you a friend. I promise I'll never forget your words. The legacy you leave behind will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew you."

Mr. Crowley bows his head, a single tear rolling down his weathered cheek. "Rest well, Ozzy. You were the heart and soul of this train. With your songs and your spirit, you touched the lives of so many. I shall ensure that the secrets of the Diary remain safe, as I know you would want."

The three stand in somber silence as the first light of dawn begins to break over Paranoid City, casting a soft glow upon the scene. The Crazy Train's final journey has come to an end.

SpongeBob: "Hold on a minute, Mr. Crowley. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this... How was Ozzy just here with us, if... Wait a second, there's something I'm missing, isn't there? Something that doesn't add up."

Mr. Crowley's eyes glint with a hint of mischief and secrecy as he leans in closer to SpongeBob, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.

"Ah, my curious friend, I believe it's high time I share the truth that's been hidden in plain sight. Come, walk with me. I have a revelation to show you, deep within the heart of the Crazy Train."

He leads SpongeBob back through the labyrinthine corridors, the flickering candles casting dancing shadows on the walls. As they enter the grand library, Mr. Crowley pauses, his gaze drifting over the towering bookshelves before settling on a single, ornate veil hanging in the center of the room.

With a gentle tug, he pulls the purple velvet curtain aside, revealing a magnificent, empty, throne. The bat throne is adorned with intricate carvings, each one telling a story of Ozzy's legendary life and career. But what catches SpongeBob's eye is the single, unmistakable pair of glasses perched atop the throne.

Mr. Crowley's expression softens, a wistful smile playing on his lips. "You see, Detective... Ozzy never truly left the Crazy Train. In a way, he was always here, guiding us from beyond the veil. His glasses are a reminder of the power he left behind; a power that will forever dwell within these hallowed halls."

"You know, ghosts can appear just as solid as you are. I was walking on the train one night and a woman with long red hair wearing jeans and a tee shirt walked to the hallway and turned to go toward the bathroom. I thought she was a customer needing an extra towel for her shower, so I headed toward her with a towel and she just faded away right in front of my eyes. She had been so solid that I hadn't known she was a ghost until she faded away. I later found out that a few years before I started working here as librarian, there had been a young woman in her 20's who had passed away in the bathroom from an overdose. Anyway, knowing this it's not a big surprise that Ozzy could appear to us.."

SpongeBob stands in awe, the pieces falling into place like a puzzle, knowing that Ozzy's spirit will always be with him and the Crazy Train. He gazes upon the vacant throne, a sense of reverence and awe washing over him. He reaches out, gently lifting Ozzy's glasses and puts it back.

Turning to Mr. Crowley, SpongeBob's eyes shine with a renewed sense of determination. "I understand now. Ozzy may be gone, but his spirit and his legacy live on, woven into the very fabric of the Crazy Train. I promise you, Mr. Crowley, I will honor his memory and the trust he placed in me."

Mr. Crowley nods solemnly. "I know you will, Detective. You have the heart and the mind to carry on Ozzy's work, to keep the Crazy Train rolling and the spirit of rebellion alive. Remember, no matter how dark the night may seem, there is always a glimmer of light to be found - and that light, my friend, is the unbreakable spirit of those who dare to be different."

"Come on, Patrick," SpongeBob says, a newfound resolve in his voice. "We've got a world to protect and a legacy to uphold. Let's get back to the station and make sure that lowlife Jimmy Sinner gets the punishment he deserves."

As the duo makes their way back through the Crazy Train, the sun continues to rise over Paranoid City, casting a warm, golden glow that seems to promise a brighter tomorrow. The physical form of Ozzy Osbourne may have gone, but the legend lives on, etched forever in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him. And as long as there are those who dare to be different, to stand against the tide and embrace the chaos, the Crazy Train will never stop rolling on.
