“I asked, what are you doing?” Kiyoi said, glancing down at the note.
“No, don’t read!” Hira tried to wrestle the notebook from him.
Kiyoi froze, scanning the page. “No,” he said, holding Hira’s gaze as he slowly ripped it out. “Absolutely not.”
He thrashed it before turning back to the door. “Come to bed.”
