Ravenspot woke up to a field of stars glittering through his view, the feeling of greencough that had been dragging him down alleviated with sleep. But this was not where he had fallen asleep, far from it. He had fallen asleep atop moss in the back of the medicine cat den after an outbreak of greencough through the elder's den. Was he... dead?
The revelation of his death bummed him out a bit, until he realized he was in StarClan. Being in StarClan meant he could see a face he missed for so many moons. He pulled himself up onto his paws, and as soon as he could, he was off. He had to find Aspenlily. His paws carried the excitement of seeing his mate that had been missed for moons.
Aspenlily was taking a nap with Hazelrunner and Tawnysun when pawsteps quickly approached the three. Fast, thrilled pawsteps. Pawsteps that carried a level of excitement that couldn't be contained. Aspenllly opened one of his eyes, trying to figure out who was that excited, only to see Ravenspot running full-speed ahead straight towards him.
Hazelrunner and Tawnysun were awoken by Ravenspot crashing into Aspenlily, the two mates reunited after 16 moons apart. It was over a year without each other, and the two embraced each other after so long.
"Ravenspot!" the three cats all called out at once.
Ravenspot smiled, "I missed all of you guys. Where's Patchwing and Shellkit?"
"Those two are off exploring," Hazelrunner smiled, "Again."
"We're glad you finally get to re-unite with us. We've been watching you for quite a while," Tawnysun explained.
Tears pricked at Ravenspot's eyes, "I missed all of you as well."
Aspenlily pressed into Ravenspot's pelt, the two enjoying a cuddle they hadn't had in what felt like forever. Hazelrunner and Tawnysun stayed close by, even if they weren't directly in the cuddle, the two watching their dads enjoy a reunion.
