Work Text:
Akutagawa curled himself on the bed, the messed sheets were bothering him, but he didn't have the strength to get up and fix them. His feet and hands were uncomfortably cold, his eyes burned with unshed tears and sleepiness and his throat was so sore that he was sure that talking was barely possible.
Ryuunosuke sniffed and coughed, feeling loneliness and pain and everything at the same time. His rash coughing just made it all worse. And his bed was so damn cold.
He listened to the sound of the front door opening and plastic bags being placed at the counter. Cardboard boxes being ripped open, a pill being taken from a medicine card. Pouring water. The fridge opening and closing.
Akutagawa coughed when Atsushi entered the room with a pill in one hand and a cup of water on the other, offering them to the older.
– How are you feeling? – Atsushi questioned while sitting on the bed beside Akutagawa, his right hand fitted on his thigh under the covers.
– Bad. – Ryuunosuke answered, his throat hurting from the effort of talking. Atsushi hummed, caressing his thigh.
– Do you want some tea? I bought honey for sweetening. – Akutagawa denied with his head while drinking some water, frowning.
– My throat hurts too much to drink anything, maybe later. – Atsushi agreed, taking the empty cup from his hands.
– You should get some rest, then. Akutagawa sighed and coughed in his hands.
– It’s too cold. But I’ll try. Atsushi smiled lovingly, pushing him carefully to a lying position. He then went to his side of the bed and got under the covers, opening his arms, inviting Ryuunosuke, who accepted quickly, burying his head into Atsushi’s chest.
With the caress on his hair and his bed finally warm, Akutagawa slept calmly.
