Floor 27. . .
As the door opened, cold, dry air entered the elevator with a swoosh.
Finn shivered, hearing heavy steps.
Thump..
Thump..
THUMP!..
P e b b l e .
One by one, two by two, whatever order they were in, each of them exited the elevator. Himself and one other being the last.
Finn tilted his head as he held out his hand, a slight smile growing on his face.
"I'll sea you later?"
"See you later." The other confirmed, gripping onto his hand, shaking it.
They split up, waving each other goodbye.
---------
He tread the halls, wary of his surroundings. . .
As he peeked from just around the corner, he spotted a machine, starting to make his way there. Extracting, Finn watched as the ichor dripped, just as the water from the tap in Gardenview did, just.. slower.
Busy thinking about going back up, he unexpectedly, completes his machine, which was the last one. After accidentally finishing it,
everybody rushed to the elevator, even including their distractor. I guess they we're too much in a 𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒄 to notice he was missing.
Finn was way across the map, using whatever could give him speed. Even just a slight speed boost would help!
Lucky for him, he made it. . .
Or did he..?
In front of the elevator was Pebble, which was walking in his direction.
Finn ran. He ran as fast as he could, his feet making a 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙠! sound with every step. . .
. . . . .
𝑪𝑹𝑼𝑵𝑪𝑯!
He failed. Failed to get by him, and was now down to one heart, his head spewing with ichor and water.
The other watched in horror as Finn bled out, reaching out a hand.
Finn leaped, reaching for it.
Pebble trailed behind him.
-..🎣 /POV..-
The growling got louder, my heart beat faster. I got it. I got you.
With all my strength, I gripped on to you, pulling myself closer.
. . .
Pebble dug his teeth into my torso pulling me further away. I could feel my back shattering into pieces as a mix of blood, ichor, and water spilled out of me. My guts being ripped to shreds as they're clawed out. . . But even after all of that, I keep going, I keep holding on, I refuse to die like this. I CAN'T die like this.
. . . . .
He dug deeper, chewing through my body. I tried to stay, but . . .
I just guess it was just my time.
SPLAT.
Everyone stared in shock. You managed to pull me in, but at what cost? Almost everything about me was gone. My remaining insides spilled out on the floor, most of it cut off by the elevator. I wouldn't have survived anyway..
..But I guess a part of me couldn't let you go. My body didn't want to.
Which is why, even through all of that-
𝑰 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕. . .
