It was a stormy night in the Kalos region and Xerneas was napping soundly underneath the tree canopy. Though this ended as Pokémon scattered around, two humans in long dark cloaks carried a basket to the pond where Yveltal rested and the cry of a baby cut through the sounds of thunder.
"Oh, shut up, you brat. Once you're gone, we won't have to deal with you." The taller figure said to the crying infant.
"Don't worry love. Once this thing is at the bottom of the lake we'll have nothing to worry about again." The smaller of the two said with a cruel smirk.
The child still cried within the basket as it was set down in the water and pushed into the center of the lake. As lightning flashed and thunder roared above, the rain fell hard on the infant's face. The two figures sent out their Pokémon partners. Sableye and Thiveul. After they told their partners to launch attacks, a shadow swirl opened up, and the infant fell into the portal into the Distortion world.
Giratina opened the portal to the real world to go get a sweet treat, but instead, an infant human fell through, startling the legendary Pokémon. He caught the child and set them down on a nearby island. The infant was still crying, but once the crying died down, she opened her eyes and saw Giratina. The child stopped crying and just stared at him. Giratina tilted its head to the side curious as to how an infant was in the middle of nowhere.
After a few minutes, Giratina saw that the infant was starting to look not so great. He knew he had to get help, as he knew nothing about what afflicts humans, and so he went to grab a Shaymin. He opened a portal to the area where Shaymin typically gather and went through.

As Shaymin ate Giratina showed up.
"Oh, it's you, Giratina! It's not often you come out to see us." A Shaymin said to the Lord of the Distortion World.
"I need your help with an odd situation," Giratina said to the Shaymin.
"Oh, well, ok. Lead the way then." Shaymin said and climbed onto the back of Giratina.
Giratina went into the Distortion World and took Shaymin to the infant who fell asleep with tears staining her face.
"Oh, you poor thing." Shaymin got down onto the island once Giratina got close enough for Shaymin to land safely. "She's sick and needs help. We need to get a human's help." Shaymin said looking back to Giratina.
Giratina nodded and gently picked up the infant and Shaymin got back onto Giratina. Once a portal opened up Giratina flew through and funnily enough, they landed in the Johto region. Once they spotted a small village they flew down and stopped in front of a pair of humans. The two were obviously startled, but once Shaymin explained what was going on, they agreed to help.
"The little one will be ok. She's lucky to be alive because you got help Giratina." The nurse said to the huge Pokémon.
Giratina nodded as he just watched the infant sleep. He knew he'd have to leave her behind but he didn't know why he was getting attached. It's just a human baby and yet for some reason he doesn't want to leave her side. Maybe one day he'll meet her again.
"It doesn't seem like she has a name with her, and all the note said, from what I could read, is that the little one was not wanted and that whoever left her wanted her dead. Poor thing." The man said as he set the wet note down on the table.
Shaymin looked to Giratina before turning to the couple "He wants to name her lausnari."
"That's a wonderful name. You chose well Giratina. And welcome to your new home lausnari." The nurse said with a smile.
