Kiva's Cavalcade of Power Ranger Prompts: Ninjetti Rangers of Aquitar

Summary:

Reimaning of the Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers part of the Power rangers franchise for my new Cavalcades universe

Updated with a new look, expanded lore, and their own series of adventures that don't end with their stint on Earth.

Chapter 1: Reimagining the Aquitar Rangers

CavalcadesAquitar

 

The Alien Rangers are renamed Ninjetti Rangers of Aquitar. They are only alien to the humans, but they don’t consider themselves aliens, they are aliens to others. The fact they are Ninjetti would also be used to explain their ninja aesthetic and fighting style.

 

They are also not people with weird tumor helmets. Aquians are alien fish people. They have scaly skin, webbed hands and feet, gills in their neck, fin-like ears ect.

 

They would obviously get some development and more fleshed out personalities.

 

  • Delphine/White Ninjetti Ranger is still the leader and the big sister and den mother of the team.

 

  • Aurico is good natured and loyal, but reckless and mischievous.

 

  • Tideus is a boisterous bruiser whom loves food and considers himself a bit of a ladies’ man.

 

  • Cestro is of course the brains of the team. He is also Billy’s love interest instead of Cestria as Billy is gay in my universe.

 

  • Corcus is the more reserved member and more of the lone wolf.

 

  • Cestria still exists, she is the pink Ranger, Cestro’s little sister and the genki girl of the group.

 

 

Master Vile’s Orb of Doom doesn’t revert time, it instead lets out a pulse that fries the Power Coins and injures Ninjor.

 

Master Vile is also old friends with Hydro Hog, whom he called in to help after he is getting fed up with the Mighty Morphin Rangers on Earth. Hydro Hog’s enemies follow him to Earth, as well as standing in for the Earth Rangers as they try to repair their powers or obtain new ones.

 

Their Battle Borgs originally aren’t animal themes but the Aquitar Rangers like the aesthetic of the Shogun Zords and added it to their Battle Borgs. The Shogun Zords also took the least damage form the Orb of Doom due to being out of range and was fixed quickly, with the Ninja Zords fixed much later.

 

Hydro Hog survives being blasted and just retreats back to Aquitar, with the Aquitar rangers forced to follow back to Aquitar.

 

During the time the Earth-based Rangers transfer to the Zeo Powers, the Ninjetti Rangers continue to have a series of adventures upon their own world. Ninjor, after his recovery would assist the Aquitar Rangers.

Chapter 2: The Battle Borgs

The Aquitar Rangers use the Battle Borgs. As mentioned before they were before merely humanoid robots until the Aquitar Rangers took a liking to the Shogun Zords’ aesthetics and upgraded their Battle Borgs to resemble them.

 

The Battle Borgs can actually combine in this universe and they can become a sleeker and slimmer version of the Shogun megazord named the Mega Battleborg. The Red, Blue, Yellow, Black and White Battle Borgs transform like their Shogun Zord counterparts and the Pink One becomes the blade weapon of this formation.

 

The Mega battle Borg was able to always easily handle Hydro Hog’s monsters and send his generals running but it was never able to defeat him before.

 

That is until the Aquitar Rangers unlock their newest zord: the AquiPhoenix, a Phoenix-like elemental bird whom is as the name suggests a water phoenix. It gives wings that drape like a cape and a new crown-like helmet to the Mega Battle Borg, and forming the Royal Mega BattleBorg.

 

It was able to kick Hydro Hog’s ass consistently, to the point Hydro Hog actually entered a slump, after losing to the Shogun Mega Falconzord and the Royal Mega BattleBorg shortly after one another, and it was only being invited to the United Alliance of Evil that he was able to get back in fighting shape. Until he god dusted.

Chapter 3: Hydro Hog crew

We take a quick look at Hydro Hog’s crew.

 

 

Hydrophelius Hoggish aka Hydro Hog – The Lord of the Dark Waters and arch-nemesis of the Aquitar Rangers. Imagine him as K. Rool in that he is comical and hammy but genuinely dangerous, especially due to his prowess and ability to absorb water. He seeks to consume not only all of Aquitar’s water but devour all life, in a planet sized feast for his endless gluttony.

 

Baba Ganoush – One of Hydro Hog’s Master Chefs, whom act as generals and send out monsters to abduct people and Aquitar’s creatures to prepare for Hydro Hog so his master can feast. He is based on Hyōsube, a type of nocturnal Kappa that prefers eggplants over cucumbers like most kappas. He is even named after an Eggplant dish. He is the most passionate cook and tends to shout at his kitchen staff if they don’t do things perfectly and calls them ‘sea-donkeys’ if they don’t do a good job.

 

Daube – One of Hydro Hog’s Master Chefs. An octopus woman whom is bloodthirsty and sadistic and takes too much pleasure in cutting people open to cook them for her master and the one whom is the most eager to get out of the kitchen to fight the Aquitar Rangers. She is named after a Mauritian dish with octopus and based on the octopus youkai Koromodako.

 

Halang – The third of Hydro Hog’s Master Chefs, resembling a humanoid crocodile. He considers cooking dishes a work of art and considers the visuals as important as the taste. However this works against him as even slaughtering his foes needs to happen in an flashy way. He is named after a Filippino Crocodile Curry and based on a crocodile youkai called Wani.

 

Etouffee – A crab-themed Master Chef whom speaks with a thick cajun accent, and she is fond of putting spice in her food. She is the least evil of the crew, making sure the ingredients pass peacefully before preparing them and praying for them. She seems to be indoctrinated to think of Hydro Hog as a God King she may not even realize the evil she’s doing. She is based on the crab Youkai Hakegani and names after a seafood Cajun dish that can be prepared with crab.

 

She also cultivates the Gigabanero Peppers, spicy peppers that make the monsters grow upon consumption when eaten whole.

 

 

Brinebusters – Sea Monkey/Funayūrei (ghosts of those that died at sea) whom are Hydro Hog’s footsoldiers. They also work as the Sous-chefs in the kitchen of the Four master Chefs.

 

Note: Despite giving the Aquitar Rangers more of their own identity, I still base Hydro Hog and his crew on youkai (aquatic ones that is) due to their origins with Kakuranger.
