Huntara was embarrassingly new to the ritual of courtship. She knew the art of wining and dining but nothing ever came after a one night stand. It wasn't her style to get attached but there was just something about that sweet, clueless blonde…
Someone had to look after her and it may as well be Huntara.
Except now Huntara was a stranger in a strange land, born and bred in the desert's gritty sand. She didn't know her mosses from her lichen out here in Flower Girl's royal realm. And speaking of…
The whole princess thing was a pain, too. Even as relaxed a royal family as the one that Perfuma belonged to had their silly rules like no axes at the dinner table. And gifts encouraged.
Huntara tried, of course. The things one does for love but it felt dumb and stupid for her to bring some flowers the next time she dropped around to court Perfuma.
“For you.” Huntara grunted.
They were blue and… cute? She guessed.
Or maybe not because Perfuma's reaction was way out of line for what Huntara was expecting. She started to cry. Sob and bawl.
“Wh-What's all this?” Huntara exclaimed.
“They're beautiful. I can't believe you feel this way about me.” Perfuma wailed.
Huntara blinked. Her confusion momentarily paused the waterworks.
“They're bluebells…?” Perfuma said, still confused by Huntara's lack of reaction. “They mean true love.”
“The flowers have… meanings?” Huntara realised, confounded.
Perfuma's expression changed from one extreme to another. She giggled and she launched a hug at Huntara. Strong enough to knock a breath out of Huntara but not much else but sheesh.
The things she learns around her girlfriend but Perfuma might be onto something with these flowers of blue…
