When Gold Ingot asked for you to fill in for one of the hosts today, you were happy to stop by. What you didn't expect, was Knight Helmet, one of the contestants... to fall in love with you..?
The self-proclaimed valiant knight runs to you, his wooden sword raised in the air, "Oh, my eternal paramour! I have fought many a battle-- slain many a beast-- and I return to you, my love... not out of hopes to win the challenge, but to win your undying love and adoration... tell me, my eternal paramour... Will you accept..?"
With a swift motion, Knight Helmet lays his sword at your feet, and offers his hand towards you, the beam in his eyes and stupidly foolish grin on his lips suggesting that you take it. You stand before him--- a mixture of confusion and non-judging amusement in your expression.
"Oh, Knight Helmet..." you simply say, stifling a chuckle. Should you play along? Knight Helmet, despite his unintentional incompetence--- was as charming as fellow as ever. That's not to say your feelings for him were as strong as his to you--- but seeing him again, outside of the challenge, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. You clear your throat.
"You've fought with the most valiant of efforts-- and even I cannot deny my growing feelings for you."
A giddy laugh of excitement escapes from the knight. It's quite endearing.
"...but. Your trudge is not over, my Knight. To win my undying love and adoration, you must return to me having completed the challenge. Will you do that for me, my Knight? It would be such a pity if you came all this way to me, and I wouldn't ever be able to kiss you..."
You hold his hand in yours for a shining moment-- and that's exactly what seals the deal. Knight Helmet-- albeit ever flustered, flashes you his most determined grin, and picks his sword up once more.
"If this is what I must do... for you, my love... of course I shall! I will not let you down, my eternal paramour!"
And with that, the Knight is off, yelling to his two trusty "steeds" (before being knocked over by Plasma Ball), and looking at you one last time with such joy in his eyes. You can't help but cover up a small laugh as he went along his way.
...Oh, the Gods give their toughest battles to their strongest soldiers.
