6:48 PM. Jun looked at the time and smiled fondly. He recalled the little moment he and Wonwoo had with this particular time. It was 6:48 PM when he replied to Wonwoo in weverse, asking him to wait for him.
“Jun, show your new world! 🙌🏻”
“Okay~ Wait for me!! LOL”
In just an hour, he will be flying back to S. Korea. After some months of being apart with the group, they’ll be together again. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. After all, absence makes the heart fonder. He had missed them greatly, and during the time he wasn’t with them, he felt that his love only grew even bigger. 10 years and counting, and he still has so much room for loving them.
He and Wonwoo will also be reunited. A bittersweet reunion, though. Once he’s back, it’s Wonwoo who will be leaving this time to start his military enlistment. They’ve only got until April, and he’s determined to make every moment they have count. To make the precious and little time they have last.
While waiting, he decided to go through their group chat. There were several messages from the members excited to have him back home with them. Home. It’s crazy to think that while his home is here in China, he still finds himself homesick for Seventeen. His mother once said that it’s okay to have two homes. One in China, and one in S. Korea. But perhaps another one.
After a few minutes of browsing through his phone, chatting with the members in, he received a call. A call he has been waiting for since he had woken up, packed his things, and left for the airport. It was a voice he was longing to hear, even though he has been hearing it every day, from the moment he arrived in China last year. Smiling happily, he answered it. They talked, excited to hear each other's voice. It felt like hours, but it was only for a few minutes.
Just in time, as they finished talking, it was time for him to board his flight. As he seats by the window, and look below the city’s skyline, he feels a bit sad. He will be leaving his home once again, but then he is reminded that as he leaves, he will also be coming back to his second home. He knows that the members are already at his and Wonwoo’s place, preparing a surprise. Wonwoo will be waiting at the airport, ready to welcome him back in his arms.
He had fallen asleep and wakes up to his manager telling him that they had already landed. Excitement fills him. He can’t wait to see the members and Wonwoo.
Once they had all the usual airport processes done, he immediately called someone on his phone.
“I’m home.” Just two words. Two words that holds so much.
“You’re not yet home. Not until you’re in my arms again.” Wonwoo answered.
And Jun knows he’s right, he can’t wait to be back in his lover’s arms once again. So he hurriedly went to where Wonwoo mentioned he was waiting at. Feeling so many emotions all at once: happiness, excitement, fondness. He wants to laugh, but also cry.
Then he sees him, and everything around them stopped moving. He got his eyes only on Wonwoo. The latter was the same. After many months of not seeing each other, finally, they are together again.
Jun runs to Wonwoo not giving a care to the world, who might see them, what people might think. He’s not Seventeen’s Jun right now. Just Wonwoo’s Junnie. He smiles at him, then hugs him so tightly, almost like he never wants to let go ever again. His lover was just the same as him.
“I’m home, my Wonu.”
“Welcome home, my love.”
Finally, he is home.
