Work Text:
Kurara looks up at the sky through the dark green tint of her mask, listening to the way the leaves shiver against each other in the wind. Grass clings to her back like a hug from Mother Nature, reminding her that, despite the war, world death, everything, she's still here.
She looks to her sides. On one, Kyoshika, dozing off with a light smile. On the other, Nozomi, lazily watching the clouds float by. The sun's golden glow gently kisses their skin.
Kurara inhales slowly, and closes her eyes. It's sunset on day 99. They were all going home tomorrow.
