Work Text:

It all started when Xilonen decided to throw a party. All of her friends gathered at her house—Mualani, Kinich, Chasca, Kachina (who brought cookies), Ororon (he brought vegetables…to a party ), Ifa, Citlali (who brought the drinks) and Mavuika, of course. Not like she could be omitted from a party. There was also a guest of honor, Lyney, who was liked and trusted by pretty much everyone in Natlan now since the Pyro Archon welcomed him with open arms. Everyone except for Kinich. The warrior absolutely despised the magician—or so he said, but the way he acted towards Lyney was enough to convince everyone he hated him.

They gathered in a circle on the living room floor and started talking and eating snacks and drinking—only Citlali, Mavuika, Mualani and Chasca) as every party goes. But things escalated quickly. It turned into that type of party. Xilonen took an empty bottle and raised it so everyone could see.

“Let’s play 7 Minutes in Heaven!” she suggested smugly.

“I’m out of here. I am not playing that. Come on Kachina, I’ll walk you home” Citlali complained as she sat up and left with Kachina.

“I’m down.” quickly said Mavuika.

Everybody agreed to play, except for Kinich, the always so careful and serious warrior.

“Come on, Kinich! Don’t be a party pooper!” yelled Mualani giggling, clearly already a little under the effect of the alcohol.

“I’m not playing that. It’s pointless and immature. And as if it wasn’t already bad enough by itself, he’s playing it too.” he mumbled, glaring sharply at Lyney, who was smirking on the other side of the room.

“Come one, I’m not gonna bite~ Besides, the chance of us having to play together is really low.” he purred.

The green-haired boy rolled his eyes but he couldn’t hide the faint pink that was creeping on his cheeks.

“Fine. Let’s just get this over with.”

Xilonen grinned and carefully placed the empty glass bottle in the middle of the circle and spun it. The bottle pointed towards Lyney as everyone started to wonder who the other person would be. The bottle spun once more and it stopped…on Kinich. His eyes widened as he saw the bottle, then he looked into the magician’s eyes. He was smirking and there was a tint of mischief in his lavander eyes. The room fell silent, then chaos unleashed. Everyone went wild imagining what was going to happen between the two in the closet—‘ They’re going to fight for sure. ’, ‘ They’re going to argue in there. ’, ‘ They will kill each other.

The two walked towards the big but cramped closet where they were locked.

“Alright, seven minutes starting…now! Try not to kill each other in there!” announced Xilonen as she set the timer and went back into the living room with the others.

At first, there was silence. Neither of them said a word. They were just sitting in the dark wooden closet, barely able to see. Kinich’s back was fully against the wall and his legs were spread, Lyney was kneeling in between them, slowly leaning into him.

“Ugh. I hate this.” the warrior broke the silence, looking anywhere but at the magician’s face.

“Come on, it’s not that bad. I mean, it could’ve been worse. At least it’s us in here.”

“How is that better? Locked up in a cramped closet with the person I hate most, having to share breaths with him.” he rolled his eyes.

There was a pause. Kinich hated the way he could feel Lyney’s smell so close up. He was wearing his usual, sweet, floral-scented perfume that was making him dizzy. He turned his face in hope the magician wouldn’t see the faint blush on his cheeks growing darker.

“If you hate me as much as you say, then…why do you always look at me like that?” he whispered softly, his usual smug smile nowhere to be seen.

“Like what?”

“Like I captured the sun from the sky for you.”

That earned him a shocked glance from the warrior, who immediately turned his head to face him. They were inches apart, bodies almost fully pressed together.

“I-…I don’t!” he flushed red.

“Kinich…” he leaned in a little more so their noses were now brushing. “Say it. Say the truth.”

There was another moment of silence. The green-haired boy was visibly flustered. He slightly turned his head to look away, but the magician grabbed his chin with a hand and forced him to keep eye contact.

“No more lies. Tell me the truth, it’s just the two of us here, nobody will know.”

“Y-Yes…I lied, I don’t hate you.” he stopped for a second, eyes darting to Lyney’s lips. “I’ve been in love with you for a while now, but I didn’t want to say it out loud because I didn’t want to admit how deep I’ve fallen in. I love you, Lyney, and I want you more than anything.” For the first time, the magician saw Kinich this way around him—soft eyes that would have heart-shaped pupils at the moment if it were possible, vulnerable. So vulnerable, locked up in this closet under him, having a look in his eyes that screamed desire. This part of him made Lyney feel something he’s never felt before—more than love, more than desire— lust . This image of him turned him on so much, he couldn’t hold back anymore. He leaned forward and crashed his lips onto Kinich’s, pulling him into a deep, passionate, hungry kiss. The green-haired boy was surprised at first, whimpering softly against the other’s lips, but he quickly melted into it. They only stopped kissing for a few seconds when their lungs were burning for oxygen, then they pressed their lips together again into another messy and hungry kiss. Kinich was moaning and whimpering softly against Lyney’s lips every now and then, and the magician was groaning in return.

They kept going, lost in their make-out session, not realizing that the minutes had passed. As soon as Xilonen came into the room and yelled “Time is up!”, they pulled apart, trying to catch their breaths, trying to gather their composure. The closet door unlocked and it opened slowly, revealing a very smug magician with rosy cheeks that came out of the closet in an instant and a very flustered Kinich with wide eyes and a dark blush. Everyone stared between the two wide eyed and speechless. They were all expecting to see them angry or mad at each other, any sign that they fought, but they sure weren’t expecting to see this .

“See? I told y’all it wouldn’t be so bad~” said Lyney, walking back to the living room.

They decided not to question it, they just went back to party games, but the two boys’ minds were far from there. The magician remained smug the whole night, while Kinich tried his best to remain composed and not turn crimson again, as his mind kept replaying the seven minutes.

As soon as the party ended, the warrior grabbed Lyney’s wrist and dragged him to his house. He barely got to lock the front door when the magician grabbed his waist and turned him around, gently pushing him against the wall. He pinned his wrists above his head, looking him in the eyes.

“You know, I really enjoyed our 7 Minutes in Heaven~ But I feel like it wasn’t enough, don’t you? How about we continue?~” he smirked, whispering into the boy’s ear.

He didn’t even give Kinich time to answer, he gave another hungry kiss, and another, and another…Until the magician lifted him up, careful not to break the kiss, walking into the bedroom.

They kept playing 7 Minutes in Heaven in the green-haired boy’s bed, but they didn’t keep evidence of the time, they just enjoyed themselves all night.

Notes:

This is the first spicy story I wrote, I hope it’s good and you’ll like it! Also, it was obviously inspired by the new TikTok trend with the “Seven Minutes in Heaven” song by Mindless Self Indulgence.
