daniela wasnt somebody who played video games.
yeah, shes played roblox, fortnite, minecraft. but she never expected herself to be playing.. genshin impact.
her bestfriend, megan- whos also a huge nerd, had roped her into playing it.
“..seriously megan? what is this anime girl ass game..?” daniela huffed, clicking through the tutorial.
“its fun! trust me.. its also like gambling, but your gambling for these insanely hot characters-“ megan said, beginning her ramble on how hot arlecchino was.
“yeah, just shutup..” daniela said, throwing a pillow at her roommate
she played until megan fell asleep, she was playing the mail archon quest quest, when she suddenly got a join invite, from “siniganglover2002”

latinamami: hello! do u need something?
siniganglover2002: haha hi! i saw ur a low level, thought u might need some help!
latinamami: omg thx SO MUCH! i just started out.. and im so confused on it.
the two began to chat as ‘siniganglover2002’ explained the mechanics and other things of the game, and by the end of the night they had added eachother on discord.

siniganglover2002: hi! this is, you can just call me phia!
dani: hi! i dont wanna sound weird, but you were born in 02? right? i was born in 04!!!
phia: yeah, i am. honestly i was hoping u werent a little kid or something..
dani: LMAO.. anyways, where r u from?
phia: im from the philippines but im in la right now for university!
dani: thats sickk! im also in la right now for uni!
dani: let me guess.. ucla?
phia: haha, ur right. my classes actually start tomorrow
dani: i go to ucla too! but my classes dont start till next week. im a nursing major wbu?
phia: oh no way! im a nursing major too!
dani: oh my gosh.. thats crazy. we could probably know eachother.
phia: yeah, but i would prefer to stay anonymous if thats okay with you?
dani: i was thinking the same thing, anyways.. goodnight, phia.
daniela turned off her computer and headed to bed.
the two began to chat and play genshin impact together almost every night, and danielas grades soon began to drop.
“daniela, im sorry.. but ill have to assign you a tutor, your grades have plummeted!” her professor said, before calling over another student.
“daniela, this is sophia laforteza. shes a nursing major also, laforteza. tutor daniela here, and ill give you that extra credit you need.” the prof said, before leaving the room.
sophia pushed up her glasses, “hi.. i guess im your tutor. heres my number, since.. we need to yknow- text so we can schedule tutoring sessions-“ sophia stuttered
daniela on the other hand, was very displeased with this, a tutor? and this girls a total nerd. “yeah. im free right now, we can start right now.” daniela huffed, putting the girls phone number in her pocket
“..uh-yeah! o-of course, if thats what you want, we can go to the library and begin.” sophia mumbled, her hands fidgeting.
in the library, sophia walked over to daniela with a large stack of books, and some workbooks.
“..uhm- i didnt know what do start with, so lets just go over everything professor has covered os far..” she explained, then sneezed due to the dust on the old textbooks.
“also- im sorry i stutter alot im just not used to talking to pretty girls so casually- i mean im not used to talking to anyone- sophia rambled, her long fingers flipping through the pages of a textbook.
daniela was very amused with this girl infront of her, she almost reminded her of megan, they were both nerds! and had absolutely no game when it came to girls.
daniela listened intently on whatever topic sophia was yapping on about, but her eyes were focused on the arch of sophias nose, her incredibly soft-looking lips..
they studied until 7:30, when daniela suddenly lept up, 7:45 was her and phias usual gaming time!
“..im sorry, sophia.. but i have somewhere to go, youre such a sweetheart, just text me when you wanna schedule another tutoring session! im free anytime.” daniela said, picking up her backpack and the workbook sophia wanted her to study.
internally, sophia let out a sigh of relief, she had to login to genshin to play with dani! she lept out of her seat and ran to her dorm room, flopping down onto her bed and opening her computer.

phia: sorry dani! classes ran long today
dani: hahq, same here. i dont think ill have much time to play tonight, i have to study :(
phia: thats fine, studyings important.
they played for around two hours, with daniela crashing out because she lost her 50/50 to tighnari, and sophia screaming cause she pulled c6.
at the end of the night, as she settled in to study, suddenly megan busted through the door, a woman with braids trailing behind her.
“..uh, dani? can you leave the dorm for tonight?”megan said- while the woman behind her was clearly eyeing megans body.
“im manon, you can crash at my dormroom, heres the keys, thanks!” manon said, pushing daniela out of the room and throwing the keys in her face.
“..how rude, kicking me out of the room so that megan can get laid” she huffed, walking to the room number the key had engraved on it.
room 127.. she knocked on the door, only for sophia to answer it.
“..daniela?” she said confused, her glasses were off now, and she looked so much hotter without them-not that daniela would admit that though.
“your manons roommate..? anyways, manon and my roommate, megan are hooking up and they kicked me out of the dorm, so.. can i crash here?.” daniela explained, waltzing into the room.
“..hmm, i like your pc set up! do you play video games?” daniela asked casually, looking at her mousepad
“yeah, i play some games, roblox, minecraft.. genshin impact.” she whispered at the end
“oh cool, i play roblox too!” daniela said,
not hearing the genshin impact part.
sophia decided to shift the topic. “you can
sleep here,but i wouldnt sleep on manons bed if i were you, she brings home alot of girls..” sophia muttered, sitting on the edge of her bed
“oh, ill sleep on the floor, its fine really!” daniela hummed-
“..no-no way, i cant let a pretty girl like you sleep on the ground, how will you get your beauty sleep..? you can take my bed.” sophia said, waving her hands
“if you insist, but you can sleep on the bed with me!.” daniela said, laying on sophias bed and wrapping the blanket around her.
“are- are you sure? i wouldnt want to make you uncomfortable or somethin-“ sophia said, standing up quickly, her hands fidgeting with the hem on her sweater
“its fine! now cmon, just beware, im a cuddler!” daniela said, tugging on sophias wrist, pulling her into the bed with her.
daniela pulled the blanket over the two of them, with her resting atop of sophia, since the bed was too small to accommodate the both of them laying side by side, her head was nuzzled into sophias neck, and sophia swore her heart stopped beating.
sophias mind was going haywire, to say the least, her loser heart just couldnt handle it!
‘ohmygodohmygod.. shes cuddling me.. Im sleeping in the same bed as daniela avanzini.!.!.!.’ ‘..doesthismeanshelikesme? holdon sophia,calm down! shes gonna think youre a total loser! scratch that.. she already knows im a loser.’ sophia squirmed slightly, feeling danielas hands cup her face in her sleep- her thoughts racing a million miles per minute
it took her almost an hour to fall asleep.
