The hallway isn't empty but it might as well be.
This house was large in a way that was hard to wrap your head around. Hallways that were impossibly long and seemed to twist and turn for far longer than they should. It was a far cry from the modestly sized house she used to share with Mebuki and Kizashi. Not that that house felt more like a home than this one does.
Honestly in some ways they felt like they were similar. The pictures covering the hallways seemingly being there more for eventual guests to the house than the actual residents of it. In all honesty it was hard to tell if staying here and was better than her previous situation. Both houses feel incredibly empty, contrary to the fact that they were both inhabited, though this one more recently moved into than the latter.
Walking down the hallway trying to remember the directions lady Tsunade gave her. The room she was staying in was apparently newly renovated, something about a molde probable that has gotten out of hand in the years of abandonment the Property had faced. It was honestly impressive how well the house had withstood the test of time even in its apparent neglect.
“I wonder if it's distorted because of the chakra imbued in the wood” she mumbled to herself tracing her finger along the grain of the wood the walls were off while walking.
Finding the room was easier than expected. The modern build of the door contrasts with the more traditional styling of the rest of the house. The remodeling was clearly still in progress. As wat remained of the more traditional parts of the house still showed signs of neglect and lack of repair.
Her new room however was nice. The cream-colored walls paired nicely with the newly laid hardwood flooring. The room itself was large in size with a desk placed in front of one of the windows pointing to the east side of the garden. A large and plush bed was placed in the middle of the wall farthest from the door with two matching bedside tables at the head of the bed. A large and oddly traditional dresser was placed on the West side wall. Other than that, the room was largely empty. Shizune I told her to make herself comfortable and decorate the room as she pleased, but honestly the meat please but honestly, she didn't have many possessions to decorate the room with at all. Although the core in furniture that was in her childhood room was owned by Mebuki and Kizashi. And she honestly would rather not take anything that reminded her of that house with her.
Too tired from the events of the day she simply laid down on the mattress to sleep rather than to go through her entire bedtime routine. Maybe now that she was free of that house she could start working towards her new goal in a more productive manner.
