“Close your eye” Zoey said
I did as she said and as she dabbed eyeshadow onto my face my thoughts started to drift on how I ended up here.

I hung onto the wing of the plane like my life depended on it. We had been sent to take out the Huntrix. We all thought our plan was solid, after all what human can survive falling from 30,000 feet in the air, even I was scared despite the fact I could not die. Suddenly I heard a crack and I was falling much faster.

Hearing the sound of our targets singing getting dimmer as I fell a short moment of relief hit me till they began to approach again speeding through the air at us. I was grabbed by one and put into a light choke hold, expecting to be sent back to the underworld I tensed till I felt light tapping on my face. I looked up to one of the Huntrix putting makeup on me she had a cute round face and her hair was up in two buns. After quickly taking her in I looked forward at a mirror floating by. I was, pretty. I had never truly liked how I looked before but whatever she had just done, I looked like me. Just as quick as it had happened however it ended, she threw me away followed by a knife into my shoulder as I fell to a stage. I landed on my knees and was quickly pushed into the crowd falling hard on the ground and before anything else could happen I ran.

I pushed through the crowd just trying to make it away from them. Eventually I made it to a door and pushed through it. Finally getting away from the hundreds of screaming fans I could hear my thoughts, and Gwi-Ma. Apart from my mind it was quiet in this room, no people around. I stumbled about looking for a soul to steal, maybe if I brought a soul back I would be spared Gwi-Ma’s wrath. I pushed through another door and was in a restroom slowly walking through looking for people. I looked up at my reflection in a mirror, and it was silent. I had more time than I had before to just, take it in. Somehow in the few seconds she had to work the cute girl had put a good amount of make up on me. My lips were a deep crimson matching my eye, my cheeks were slightly rosy and my eyelid had a bright sparkly purple eyeshadow.

After a few minutes of taking me in I finally remembered the knife in my shoulder. I reached up to pull it out, but as my fingers got close I flinched away. They were burnt. I then tried with my shirt around my hand to no avail. Deciding it did not hurt that bad I just left it. As I turned to leave the rest room a clump of clothes sitting on a bench caught my eye. I picked it up unfurling a sweater and a scarf fell out. The sweater was light pink and fuzzy with a turtle neck, the scarf was also light pink but just a little darker shade and scattered with little white flower decals. Changing my look a little couldn’t hurt and hiding the knife in my shoulder would help me blend into the crowd a little.

I took off my button up tearing off a sleeve and wrapping it around the knife to smooth it out a bit. I then pulled the sweater over my head feeling the soft fabric settle over my skin. I tied the scarf around my head covering my horns. Now if I wanted to blend in I would have to do something about my face. I walked back up to the mirror, braced myself on the sink, and closed my eye. Focus on what I need to look like right now. I gripped the sink as the illusion washed over me. When I looked up a human was staring back at me. I pulled down the neck of the sweater and as I had figured it was still blue, I only had enough energy to hide my face right now.

Determined to not return to underworld until I had a soul I walked out of the building. I had to find a secluded spot as to not get caught stealing a soul. Walking down the street looking for an alley or abandoned building I suddenly ran into someone and fell backwards to the ground. I hissed a little and grasped at my shoulder as the knife had gotten pushed a little further in bringing a new wave of pain. I shot a glare up about to tell them to watch it till I saw who it was. It was the cute girl who had logged the knife into my shoulder in the first place. A could only stare in fear at her confused face.

“Oh sorry!” She said apologetically, “Sorry to ask, I know this is a weird question, but have you seen a knife anywhere around here. It would be kinda white and glowy.”

I struggled to get out any words but eventually managed to get out “n-no, no I have not s-s-seen anything like t-that”

“Oh well ok then. Hey! As an apology for knocking ya over let me get you a drink, anything you want!” She said with a smile

I tried to refuse but failed to get anymore words out of my mouth as she dragged me down the street.
