Work Text:
…
Prison.
You’ve been stuck here for years. At this point, you’ve lost track of how long it’s been.
Time only goes slow when you’re full of boredom.
How long has it been? 5 years? 10? 15? Longer..?
You still remember the day it happened crystal clear, fresh in your mind. If you were told it had only been a day, you would’ve reluctantly believed it. It must be the longest day on the planet, then.
The day she said it would work. Nothing could go wrong.
Right…?
Your cell is somewhat spacious, considering the miniature jail cells you’ve seen outside, at the Equation Playground. However, the cell you were placed in, of course, contains an overwhelming amount of blue. As expected. A constant reminder..
A constant reminder of him.
It’s his fault! He trapped you in here all those years ago!
Once you get out, you’ll find him, and you’ll-
There’s no point. You deserve this.
“But this plan is foolproof, Three!” She said, and you believed her.
You miss her dearly, but at the same time..
You’ve lost those feelings you once had.
You trusted her.
You loved her.
But not anymore. She got you into this mess. And yet.. A part of you still wanted to love her as you once did.
You’d thought about escaping before, of course, plenty of times. The color blue, having seen it for so long, made you sick. After a while, however, you’d basically given up your chances of finding a way out.
Maybe she’s doing better, you thought, Where was she trapped again? The moon?
The moon was probably easier. At least she wasn’t trapped in a certain someone’s mind.
Maybe she broke out and escaped. Who knows, maybe now she’s living out her dreams, getting her revenge, and all the power she ever wanted. Without you, of course.
At times, your relationship with her.. Fell flat, seeming very one-sided. She was often very authoritative, making a fool of herself when things didn’t go her way. On top of that, her extreme lack of patience was something that could be studied. If you tried to reject something, or even mess with the danger that came in the form of attempting to change her plans, she’d end up throwing a fit, whining about how things needed to go her way for everything to work just as intended.
And look where you both ended up from that.
You often questioned how you still stuck with her during those moments. Was it your foolish, previous feelings of love? Probably so.
Too late to change the past now.
Not much had happened over the years. Well, except for a few things. You know Four’s been active. You’re also not the only.. Person in here. The view from the cell wasn’t great, but you’ve seen some inanimate objects try to come by your cell. And some.. Purple thing. You paid no mind. You were put in here for a reason.
You deserve it.
All the torture, the pain..
You. Deserve it.
All. of. It.
