at the record daniela goes to from time to time, there was someone she just couldnt get her mind off of.
a guy, a few cm taller then she was- dressed head to toe in black was an employee there, and he was totally danielas type. their music taste was even the same!
daniela thought he was untouchable- just some eyecandy for her.
one day, she was listening to some music, when the headphones she was using got tangled up in her hair.
luckily, the guy employee shes had her eye on, quickly helped her untangle her hair.
“..sorry for touching your hair without asking you.” the guy said, setting the headphones down.
daniela explained the story to her friends, gushing. “..oh my gosh~ im totally in love! hes so mysterious too, too bad he didnt have a nametag!” she hummed
“seems like a total player if you ask me..” her bestfriend, manon told her.
meanwhile, a few feet away- sophia was internally panicking. she was the guy who worked at the record store, afterall!
‘how am i supposed to tell her- im actually a girl!’ she thought, sweat forming on her brow
the next week- daniela was back at it again.
“im so disappointed!~ i havent been able to see him at all!” she sighed, tapping her nails on the table.
“maybe he just switched shifts! honestly, i think hes lovebombing you.” her other friend, megan said.
‘god- im sorry but the guy your interested in, isnt a guy at all!- how am i supposed to tell her that? im a total nobody at school- and she probably doesnt even know who i am.’ sophia thought, later that day as she changed into her work clothes
as she stepped out of the employee- only area, she accidentally bumped into daniela
“oh my gosh! im so sorry-! i didnt mean to-“ daniela sputtered
“hah, have you been looking forward to seeing me again this much?” sophia laughed.
daniela visibly swooned, “..i-i have.” she stuttered
‘oh my god- that was so corny, why did i say that?” sophia thought.!
“uh-uh- i meant.. seeing that new foo fighters album! you mustve been looking forward to it too! man, its really the best-! you can really hear the nirvana influence in it!” she rambled, trying to save herself. real smooth, sophia..
“ah, sorry- that mustve been creepy, suddenly talking about it like tha-“ sophia said, her tone turning sad
“nonono! nothing like that.. its just.. i have a different music taste from my friends. music has, always been something i can listen to by myself.” daniela explained, her gaze dropping
sophia felt moved- “..here.” she said, pushing forward the foofighters cd. “..the new album, you havent listened to it yet, right? i bought this copy for myself, give it a listen. you can return it whenever you want.” she said cooly, her eyes serious.
after daniela left the shop, sophia collapsed onto her knees.
‘whatthehellamidoing!? am i trying to act all cool or something?!’ she sighed, brushing her hair out of the way of her eyes. ‘but when i saw that look on her face- i couldn- seriously..’ she huffed, pulling her mask down.

the next day, daniela was yapping to her friends again,
“hey dani! whatre you listening to?” megan asked, peeking at the cd.
“oh- its a new foo fighters album! the guy from the record shop lent it to me.” she explained, her face forming a slight blush
“wow- he seriously gave it to you? you guys mustve hit it off!” manon gasped sarcastically
“yeah- you guys should give it a listen sometime!” daniela said excitedly.
“..mm, sorry dani- but that music just isnt our type!” megan sighed, twirling her hair around her finger
“..ah, its alright.” daniela said, watching as megan and manon excused theirselves to use the washroom
daniela sighed- she knew her tastes were a bit more uniquer then her friends, but she couldnt help but wish she was talking about foo fighters to that guy from the record shop.
sophia could see the way danielas face dropped when megan said that music wasnt her type- she almost felt bad, she watched as the curly haired girls earbud fell to the ground, reaching down to pick it up and handing it to her.
“..here, you dropepd your earbud.” sophia hummed, a small smirk on her face.
“oh? uh, thanks..” daniela said, looking up at her.
“that songs really good, by the way.” sophia said nonchalantly, before walking out of the classroom.
daniela stood still- ‘i swore i saw a flash of that guys face for a moment.. wait, sophia listens to foo fighters?’
