All the characters in my stories will now react to my first story, which was admittedly terrible. I swear I’ve gotten better! I have literally no idea why you all love that story. It’s essentially some kind of Splatoon girls X Self Insert, and it was cringy all over.
Which is why these guys will react to it!
Splatoon
Prologue
Tom was a boy at the age of 13. He lived a normal life, but one day, he was falling.
“Okay, that was a startlingly fast transition,” Gamëra noted.
“I agree,” Liam added. “I can’t believe this is how we all started.
He couldn’t remember how he got there, but he was falling through a strange new world.
“Yes, you already previously established that,” Flowey mentioned.
As he fell, he could see strange buildings in the distance. He didn’t have much time to think about it, because he hit the ground-
“As you usually do when you are falling.” Susie snarked.
-and blacked out.
Chapter 1
City of colors
When he came to, he was in a building. He then noticed an odd... thing-
“I take offense at that.” Sarah said.
-looking at him with concern. He then noticed that in place of hair, there were purple tentacles. There was one long tentacle coming down the left side of their head. It turned light blue at the end. It almost seemed like hair. Obviously panicked by this, he screamed and tried to get up and run away, and then he felt a searing pain coming from his leg.
“Wait, his egg?” Liam asked. “That doesn’t-ohhh, I misread it. Nevermind, continue.”
The weird girl rushed to his side, and Tom curled up in fear. The girl stopped, and just looked at him. Realizing that he was too scared to do anything, she stepped back and sat there, waiting for him to calm down.
...
“You found a WHAT?!” Yelled Kara, an Octoling with a temper.
“Yes, you found a WHAT. It’s an acronym, it stands for-why am I still talking, this isn’t funny.” Zina said.
“You’re kidding, right?” Asked Zina, a calm girl who almost always keeps her cool.
“This is SO EXCITING!” Yelled Emma, an energetic girl who gets excited at anything.
“One at a time, please!” Yelled Sarah, a kind and caring inkling.
“So…” Flowey said. “You’re saying that Emma and Zina are ‘girls’, while Sarah is an Inkling? You really could’ve proofread that.”
“Yes, I found a human while exploring.” “He seemed pretty weak, so I took him in. He seems to be scared of us, though.”
“Why was there a pause?” Gamëra asked. “It’s like you have two different sentences.” “And then you separate them for no reason.”
“We must look pretty scary to him.” Said Zina.
“I guess that’s probably it.” Said Sarah.
“And then Pennywise breaks down the wall.” Susie joked.
“Do you think we should introduce ourselves to him?” Asked Emma.
“We should probably wait until he’s more comfortable with us.” Said Sarah.
“Okay,” said Kara. “But when he’s feeling better, you better show him to us.”
“Yes, of course.” Said Sarah. “I gave him food, and he probably knows how to sleep. I’ll check on him tomorrow.”
“You don’t ‘know’ how to sleep,” Yuri stated. “It’s just a thing every organism does.”
“AH! Who the hell are you?!” Gamëra said, startled. “Where did you come from?!”
“…I’ve always been here.”
“I haven’t ever seen you before,” Tom said.
“We technically all exist in the same area we’re reading this story in. That means every person to have ever existed,” Monika explained. “The author of the story has a group of characters he writes the most for.”
“Oh, I see,” Gamëra said. “No further questions needed.”
Chapter 2
Escape
Tom woke up, sweating. He’s had a nightmare, but he couldn’t tell what it was about.
“Whoa, we switched tenses twice in the same sentence!” Jax commented. “I’m about to have a seizure.”
He just remembered that it was a nightmare.
“What, the tense swapping?” Gamëra asked.
“The nondescript nightmare.” Black answered.
“OH JESUS!” Susie yelled, startled. “Oh, for the love of-how many random introductions are gonna be added?!”
“Do you really want to know?” Will, the Russian orca from that one completely random SMG4 fanfiction on Wattpad.
“I guess not. Let’s keep reading.”
Now that he was alone, he surveyed the area around him.
“Wait, he wasn’t alone when Sarah was talking to the others?” Liam asked.
“Don’t question it,” Ralsei responded.
He was in bedroom of sorts-
“Of sorts?” V asked. “WHAT ELSE WOULD IT BE?!”
-and he noticed a doorway across the room. The blankets over him were yellow, with a purple pillow. They both had patterns on them, that looked like splashes of paint. He remembered what happened last night-
“Wait, that was at night?” Lancer asked.
“Henry really wasn’t that specific, was he?” SMG4 asked.
-with that weird thing. He didn’t want to see it again.
“You’ve wounded me,” Sarah said in a deadpan tone.
“Hey, blame the author, not me!” Tom shot back.
“I’ll make an escape,” he thought. His leg was still hurting, but this might be his only chance.
“Of course, because someone would be looking at him for every second for the rest of his life,” Kara said. “This was clearly not the last or only chance.”
“I’ll escape out the window.”
He then heard muffled footsteps coming to the door. He ran to the window, and got ready. The door opened. He heard a cry of shock. He then jumped out the window.
...
“And then he jumped out of the window!” Said Sarah, to her friends, staring the obvious.
“Hold up, the original story doesn’t have ‘stating the obvious in it’!” Smile pointed out.
“Oh yeah, I edited that part just now,” Monika admitted.
“You can do that?!” Bill asked, surprised.
“Yep.”
“WHAT?!” Yelled Kara.
“Really?” Asked Zina.
“We gotta go get him!” Said Emma.
“I know, but if he’s scared of us, he won’t come.”
Gamëra opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Liam.
“First of all, it’s spelled differently. Second of all, what the hell is wrong with your mind?”
“…fair point.” Gamëra said.
Said Sarah. “We should at least try to find him, at least!”
“That was at least two ‘at least’s-“ Natsuki started before halting. “…well, now three.”
Said Emma. “Yeah,” Agreed Kara.
“Well.. okay.” Said Sarah.
...
Tom had just landed, and he was thankful that he landed on a trash bag.
“hey, that was offensive.” Sans said.
“BROTHER, WE WERE IN A DIFFERENT ALLEYWAY AT THAT TIME.”
“oh, right.”
He was now in an alleyway. He saw a way out, and ran out. God, he didn’t think about running into an entire city!
“You said my name?” God said.
“WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!” Gamëra yelled. “We can’t include literal GOD in this! It’ll offend people!”
“I’m god from that FNF Self Insert Fic,” God corrected. “Therefore, I am a different god, and anyone offended doesn’t have to be.”
He attracted a lot of stares and gasps. He just ran through, trying to find a way out. He eventually found a manhole, and without thinking twice, he jumped in. He assumed it wasn’t that deep.
“That would imply he was thinking twice, about if the manhole was deep or not,” Flowey said.
He was wrong. He fell for what seemed like minutes, for the third time today.
Chapter 3
Lost in the Canyon
“Ugh, nothing happens here.” Said R40D3, R4 for short, an Octoling trooper.
“We need to be patient,” said D39B4, D3 for short, another one. “We have toooooooo-“ she trailed off, as an odd being crashed down in front of them. “AH! Are you okay, D39B4?!” Yelled R40D3.
“Yeah, I am,” Susie said, mimicking R4’s voice. “That was close, he only landed about 10 feet away from me!”
“Yeah. Who is this guy?”
“I have no idea...”
“Wait a minute, he looks like a...”
“HUMAN!” They both yelled simultaneously.
“That seems suspiciously like it was rehearsed,” Tom observed.
“What do we do?!” Said R4.
“He seems unconscious...”
“You use ‘seem’ a lot, and generally in the wrong way,” Spirit pointed out.
said D3. “I say we bring him to our leader.”
“Okay.”
They both picked him up, and carried him away.
...
“I can’t find him anywhere...” said Sarah.
“This’d be easier if we had seen him at all.” Said Zina. “There’s only one place we haven’t looked...” said Kara. “The manhole.” Finished Zina.
“I hope he isn’t there... that place is dangerous.” Said Emma. “But we’ll have to go there.” Said Sarah.
“Oh my god, the positioning of the quotation marks is confusing me horribly,” Yuri said.
...
“What?!” Exclaimed OL045, OL for short. “You actually found a human?!” “Yes, we found him, unconscious, at our posts.” Said D3.
“Did you check him for weapons?” Asked OL.
“Yes, he’s completely defenseless.” Replied R4.
“Good, that’ll make this easier.” Said OL. “Tie him against a chair.” “Okay.” Said R4.
“We’ll try to get information out of him later, when he comes to.”
Chapter 4 Don’t get cooked
“My god, that title was cringy,” Tom groaned. “You’re telling me I was the main character here? That sucks.”
Just before Sarah and the others jumped in, they had an idea. Off The Hook, Marina and Pearl, were having a broadcast.
“…that isn’t really a surprise,” Marina noted. “We’re pretty much always doing a broadcast.”
After the broadcast-
“Oh. That was fast and pointless,” Natsuki said.
-they ran over to OTH’s-
“That is, like, the literal worst nickname for us,” Pearl said. “Ever.”
-recording studio. They tapped on the window, but the duo ignored them. They held up a sign that said “WE FOUND A HUMAN. WE NEED HELP”.
“Yeah, because that’ll work,” SMG3 snarked. “Of course they didn’t think they were crazy people, or just people who wanted attention. It’s like going up to a celebrity and saying something like ‘I SAW AN ALIEN!’. They wouldn’t believe you-“
That got their attention. They ran over to the door, and unlocked it.
“God dammit.”
Sarah, Zina, Emma, and Kara entered. Marina locked the door behind them.
“This isn’t a joke, right?” Said Pearl.
“No, it isn’t.” Replied Sarah.
“I found him one day.
“One day being literally 4 hours ago,” J said.
He was scared, and ran. We suspect he went into the manhole.” “You don’t mean-“ said Marina.
“Yes. Octo Canyon.”
“What else would we mean by ‘manhole’?” Kara asked. “From what I recall, there’s only one.”
“Oh geez, this is serious.” Said Pearl.
“Tell you what, we’ll help you find him,” said Marina. “But, we won’t be able to help directly.” “Sound good. Thank you!” Said Sarah.
“Sarah, apparently, has become a cavewoman.” Tom Nook said.
“GAH-I am never going to get used to that,” Gamëra said.
They all went over to the manhole, trying to ignore all the stares.
...
Tom came to in a dark room. He was on a chair. He tried to get up, but he realized that he was tied to the chair. He then noticed another weird creature. It looked like the one from before, but it had black “hair”, and goggles. He noticed odd green stalks coming from her(?)-
“Random gender change, okay.” Demon said.
-hair. Kelp? He also noticed two other ones, with red hair and no kelp. The main one stepped forwards, with a smile on her face. She seemed to ask something in her language, so he couldn’t understand her. He replied “Um... What?”
She looked displeased.
Gamëra and Flowey exchanged looks before booming “THE OCTOLING IS DISPLEASED.” At the same time before snickering.
“Guys, what the actual hell was that?” Susie asked.
“Oh yeah, sorry,” Flowey said. “Gamëra and I have been playing a video game recently, a certain line became an inside joke.”
“What was the game called?” Ralsei asked.
“Uhhh, something like Warm Buttery Borderlands or something.”
“That still doesn’t make sense, but alright,” Chris said.
She looked at her comrade. She then stepped forwards, and spoke in his language.
“Looks like her comrade just changed gender,” V said.
“I think the author was referring to Tom,” Sayori said.
“Oh. Right. I knew that.”
“How did you get here?”
“Y-You can... talk?” Asked Tom
“Answer the question. How are you here?” “I-uh... I don’t remember. I just remember falling.”
“Why would knowing that be helpful?” Monika asked. “He entered through the manhole, obviously.”
The creature then turned to the main one, who he guessed was the leader, because she looked different. She spoke to her in her language, and the leader looked unsatisfied.
“Man, the leader’s just constantly annoyed,” Saiko said.
She said something to the one who could speak his language, and she turned back to Tom.
"What are you doing here?”
“Uh, I-I was trying to hide, and fell in here."
The girl reported it to the leader again. The leader said another thing. The translator asked Tom another thing.
“THIS IS REDUNDANT OH MY GOD” Papyrus said.
“I DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING!!” …Papyrus said??
“Sorry I Had Caps Lock On” Queen said.
…What???
“Do you know who we are?”
“U-um... no.”
“We are Octolings. Anything else doesn’t matter to you.”
“Why did you him anything then?” Liam asked.
She then said something else to the leader.
...
“So, he doesn’t have anything useful...” said OL. “Well...” said R4
“What?” Asked OL.
“He’s a human.”
“So?”
“Remember how humans have more power and electricity than all of the Zapfish combined?”
“…No. You have never mentioned that before,” Yuri said.
“...Yeah, that might work! Okay, both of you, strap him to the machine. If you need help, you are free to find other troopers.”
“Not GET other troopers, FIND other troopers,” Flowey noted.
“Sure thing!”
“Man, for an evil person, she sure is upbeat,” Monika said.
...
“Ow...” said Marina, hitting the ground, as Pearl promptly landed on top of her, along with Sarah, Kara, Emma, and Zina.
“Aha! Comedy!” Gamëra said before fake laughing. “…you’re an idiot.”
They then got up.
“Hmmm, I think he landed here.” Said Marina.
“What makes you think that?” Asked Pearl. “There’s an imprint in the ground.” Replied Marina. “Ouch...” said Pearl.
...
Tom saw the two Octolings enter. Without saying a word, they untied him. Tom got up, but one of them grabbed him. They both dragged him to another room, and threw him into a machine of sorts. One of the Octolings strapped him against the wall.
“…against the wall of the inside of the machine?” Monika asked.
“Yeah, it doesn’t make sense.” Liam said.
Then the other one started to get cords, and attached them to his arms and legs.
“Wait... what’s happening?” Asked Tom.
“Shut up.” Said the Octoling who could speak his language.
“Geez, rude.” Jax said.
She took one last cord, and attached it directly to his stomach. She turned the machine on. Suddenly, immense pain spreading through his body. He felt his life power going. He let out a giant scream in agony. He saw yellow stuff going back through the cords.
“Uh-“ Gamëra started.
“No.” Flowey interrupted.
His electricity.
“I don’t think-“
“No.”
They were taking his life power!
“Really-“
“Stop.”
He started struggling, but one of the Octolings punched him in the head.
“KNOCKOUT!” Susie yelled.
Just as he felt he was about to die-
“Oh my gosh, that escalated alarmingly quickly.” Ragatha said.
-everything stopped. He looked to his left. The chord-
“the last musical note?” Sans asked.
-attached to his left arm and leg were cut. Standing there was another Octoling, but without goggles. One of the evil Octolings turned to her, and ran at her. While they were distracted, he felt his bonds being removed. He looked to his right, and saw the creature from before, along with another, long-haired one. She had two tentacles, coming down from her head. They were orange, with blue streaks, and fading to white at the end.
“Of all the times to give more than a single word of description, you choose the time when you need to run?!” Undyne asked.
Tom was too stunned to move. After the Octolings were defeated, they vanished.
“…that doesn’t make a lick of sense,” Liam said.
Now that Tom was free, he jumped up...
...and crashed on the floor due to being too weak to move. The creatures rushed to his aid, and helped him up. The two- tentacled-
“The hyphen having a space after it for some reason,” Yuri commented.
-one put her arm around his shoulder, and the single tentacled one on the other side. They slowly walked back to the city, making sure not to move too fast. There were some other creatures there, but he couldn’t really think at the moment.
“Honestly, Henry, I don’t think that you can think at all,” V said.
Ouch.
Maybe... one...little...r e s t.........
...
“Well, he seems to not be afraid of us, now.” Said Kara.
“I guess. We DID save his life...” replied Sarah.
The human was still tired, so they gave him some space, mostly. He still needed food.
The next day...
"I think we should introduce him to us.” Said Kara.
“I guess, but we should visit him in his room. I don’t think he’s strong enough to walk a lot yet.” Said Sarah.
“Sure.” Said Zina.
Chapter 5 Unlikely friends
Tom saw his door open. There were 6 creatures there. Three of them he had seen before. The other three he didn’t remember.
The one with the purple long tentacle hair stepped forwards.
She pointed to herself.
“Inkling.”
Tom guessed her species was Inkling.
“Lucky guess.” Flowey said sarcastically.
She pointed to herself again.
“Sarah.”
Spamton suddenly broke out into “Love is An Open Door”, singing the whole song without glitching at all.
“…what?” Liam asked.
Tom guessed that was her name. Tom nodded. He pointed to himself.
“Tom.”
The creature- er, Sarah, nodded. Another Inkling stepped forwards. She had pink hair, with two short ponytails on the front. She pointed to herself.
“Baylnxdt.”
“Emma, I’m calling you Baylnxdt from now on,” Gamëra said.
“What?!”
Tom tilted his head.
Sarah pushed her out of the way.
“And then she flew into a wall, breaking through it,” Tom said.
“Now that’s some strength,” Natsuki said.
“Emma.” She said.
Tom nodded.
Sarah pointed to the Inkling with the orange-blue hair.
“Zina.”
She pointed to the Octoling without goggles.
“My one descriptive term,” Kara said. “‘That Octoling without goggles.”
“Kara.”
She pointed to a short Inkling with white short hair. The hair had hints of pink in it.
“Pearl.”
She pointed to the tall... Octoling? With black hair with green suckers on it.
“Marin-“
“I can speak Humanese, You know,” The tall one interrupted.
She stepped forwards.
“Now THAT is a stupid language name,” Bill said.
“My name is Marina.”
“I-uh, okay. Didn’t know any of you could speak... um... “Humanese”.
“Aaand since you put the quotations in wrong, Tom is technically speaking for the rest of the story.”
“Crap.”
“Some of us study hard to figure out the language.” She said. “Most of us can’t speak it, and the few people who do can only really speak a few words. Rarely, people are able to speak fluently, with lots of practice.”
“I see.” Said Tom.
Emma asked something in her language.
“Emma asked how you got here.” Said Marina.
“Um, I don’t really remember. I remember being in my house, and then I remember being in the sky, falling.
Marina seemed to remember something.
“Um... what year were you born?”
“Uh... 2010. Why?”
“How old are you?”
“Um... 13.”
“...”
“What?” Asked Tom. Marina had a sad face.
“Okay, how many of you immediately thought of Pomni’s memetic face?” Gamëra asked, as a few people raised their hand.
“Do you know what year it is now?”
“No.”
“...” Marina paused. “...It’s 14023.”
The news hit Tom like a weight.
“You... you mean...?”
“...Yes. You’re the last human in the world.”
“So...” Tom had a horrified face. “M-my family... My friends... Th-they’re all dead?”
“...Yes. I’m sorry.”
Tom didn’t know how to process this. He just slowly sat back down on his bed.
“Tom...” Marina said.
“Just... just leave me alone. Please. I need to think about this.”
Marina looked sad.
“Oh my god, it happened again!” Gamëra yelled. “Someone needs to make fanart of sad Marina-Pomni.”
She said something to the other people. They looked at him pitifully. They slowly left, ending with Marina. The door slowly shut. Tom just sat there, once he heard them leave fully, he sniffed. He then curled up. He then cried. And cried. And cried.
“And droned on,” Flowey said. “And on. And on. And on. And on. And-“
“Flowey, seriously, shut up.” Liam said.
Chapter 6 Octoling Ambush
“You LOST him?!” OL was yelling at R4 and D3.
“Y-yes, we didn’t think that there would be support.” Said D3.
“Octolings should be prepared for anything.
“And yet you weren’t prepared for Tom escaping,” Susie said.
Now... GO GET HIM!”
R4 and D3 scrambled out, and made sure to get support on the way... Or, they would have, if they weren’t focused on not getting killed by OL.
“…why even mention that??” Yuri asked, incredulously.
...
“How do we get up?” Asked R4, staring at the manhole.
“It’s obvious, doofus.” Said D3. She went and stood under the manhole.
“Get under here.” R4 did. “Now, super jump to me.”
“Uh...”
“DO IT!”
“KILL HIM!” Gamëra yelled. “DO IT!”
“Imagine using that meme in 2025,” SMG4 said.
“Imagine assuming that this story will actually come out before 2026?” Demon retorted.
SMG4 was launched against a wall while a voice yelling “K.O!” was heard.
R4 super jumped, flying into the grate, and into Inkopolis.
“Oh.” D3 then did the same.
“Now, let’s hide. An Inkling seeing us would only mean trouble.”
They both ran separate alleyways, to cover more ground,and both crouched.
“…there are so many things wrong with that sentence. Are you running alleyways? Like a computer program?” Tommy asked.
“…what?” Liam asked. “We don’t have a Tommy.”
I meant to refer to Tom, but autocorrect changed it to Tommy, which accidentally has brought this character to life due to all universes existing together.
“…oh.”
“What’re you doing here, mate?”
The sound made R4’s tentacles stand up.
“Who said that?” She looked around wildly. She then noticed a sea urchin behind her. “Huh?”
“You don’t seem fresh enough to- hey, wait a minute. You’re an Octopus bloke, aren’t y-“
“That’s like the only male character besides Tom in this story,” Ralsei said.
...
“I hope he feels better soon.” Said Sarah.
“Same here,” said Zina. “He still hasn’t seen that much of our world yet.” I’m gonna go get some food for Tom.” Said Sarah.
“What was with those quotations??” Gamëra asked.
“We’ll tag along.” Said Marina.
...
Sarah heard grunts from a nearby alleyway.
“Do you hear that?”
“Yeah...” said Pearl, wearing a disguise. Marina wore a different outfit, and wore a hat covering her
eyes. Pearl wore Groucho Glasses.
“First of all, that was a stupid joke,” Susie said. “Second of all, the other half of the sentence was a new paragraph. Why?”
They went into the alleyway, and saw a familiar sea urchin, tied up and gagged.
“You know-“ Gamëra started.
“Nope. I know what you’re gonna say.” Liam interrupted.
Sarah ran up and released him.
“Urgh, thanks, mate.”
“If I may ask, how’d you get into that?” Asked Marina.
“Get ‘into’ that?” Gamëra asked, grinning.
“Seriously, shut up.” Uzi said.
“Some Octoling did this to me... Marina?”
“How do you know me?” Said Marina, gasping.
“It’s an easy disguise for someone like me.
“…and you’re probably not gonna elaborate on that,” Tom said.
Don’t worry, I’m not that into Off The Hook, anyways. Marina didn’t know whether to be offended or relieved.
“So, was the narrator saying that? There weren’t any quotations at all.” Ralsei asked.
“Um... where did the Octoling go?” Asked Sarah.
“I don’t remember... maybe some money will speed up my memory?”
Kara’d had enough. She whipped out her Octo roller, and brought it down, inches from his face. “Is this enough payment? Or do you need more?” She jerked the roller a little closer to his face. “Kara!” Yelled out Sarah.
“And now you can be arrested for assault,” Sarah said. “Nice. Also, you’d think Spyke would be more inclined to answer the question, considering it was the person who attacked him and tied him up.”
“Ah, but you see, it was-“
“GAMËRA, NO!”
“She went that way.” He said calmly, pointing towards their house.
“But... Tom’s in there!” Exclaimed Emma. “We gotta go!” She and the others ran out.
“Er... thanks, Spyke.” Said Sarah. She then left.
Chapter 7 Saving Tom
Sarah and the others ran into the house, up the stairs, and into the room, to find Tom cornered against the wall, two Octolings pointing their weapons at him. One of them had a Roller, and the other had a Charger, pressing against his neck. One of them turned around, the one with a Roller. “What the-? D3, there are other people here!”
“D3, I’m stating the obvious!” Flowey joked.
D3 turned around abruptly, Charger still pointed at Tom.
“Let Tom go.” Said Zina.
“How about this,” said D3, a smile growing on her face. She grabbed Tom, and whipped him in front of her, and pointed her weapon at the right side of his head.
“Don’t move,” she said. “Or I’ll kill him right here.” They stopped. If they moved forwards, Tom would die.
“Good,” said D3. She then stepped forwards the door, and slowly walked out with him.
“I bet they’re gonna-“
“Lemme try this,” Monika said, before pressing something seemingly invisible in the air.
Gamëra has been muted for 5 minutes.
“How does that work?” Liam asked.
“I don’t know,” Monika responded. “But it worked.”
...
Tom was not having a good day.
“Understatement of the year,” C00lKid commented.
“OH GOD!” Flowey yelled, startled. “Christ…”
He was being carried out by an Octoling, with his life at risk. He didn’t want to go back to that place. He wasn’t gonna have his life sucked out. He struggled, but her grip only tightened on him. She pushed the gun against his head harder. Just as she reached the exit, she noticed a thing on the ground. She let out a startled cry.
“Ink Mine!”
Tom realized what it was. A mine! Just as it exploded, she jumped out of the way. She laughed.
“You really thought that would get m-“ She heard beeping below her. She slowly looked down.
“Oh, sh-“ The mine exploded, sending her flying, and Tom in the other direction.
“Yes!” He thought, then crashed into the other Octoling’s arms. She laughed, then went flying as well. Behind her was Zina, holding two small paint guns. Tom didn’t waste any time getting up and turning around to face to Octolings.
“…huh?” Liam asked.
He heard the others step behind him. The Octolings stepped back, slipped, then ran for the manhole.
“You okay, Tom?” Tom heard a voice in his ear. He turned around. There was Marina. He shakily nodded. Pearl seemed to discuss something with Marina. Marina then turned back.
“There’s something I’d like to show you.”
“O-okay.”
“You sure you’re okay, Tom? Y’now about the fact that you’re-“
“Yeah. I’m still a little sad, but I’m good.”
Chapter 8 Bertha
“Where are we going?” Asked Sarah.
“The science lab.” Replied Pearl. Marina was chatting with Tom.
“Marina thinks that the scientist there could figure out something about how he’s here.” “Ah.”

“You found a HUMAN?!” Bertha, Inkopolis’s scientist, was staring at Tom in awe.
“…none of that is canon,” Gamëra said.
“Please don’t yell.” Said Marina.
“He hasn’t been introduced to Inkopolis yet.”
“I-okay,” said Bertha, adjusting her glasses. She had two small orange ponytails on each side of her head.“So... Why’d you come to me?”
“We thought that you could provide some insight on how he got here,” Said Marina. “Hmmm... what year was he in before he got sent here?”
“2023.” Said Marina.
“Oh, geez, that’s a long time ago. Um, I remember that humans were working on a certain kind of technology back then. I think it was... a thing that sends someone through time randomly.
“No they weren’t, and why would you make that, that isn’t useful,” Natsuki said.
It must have spread to some people, like this kid here.”
“Kid?” Asked Sarah.
“Well, he’s only thirteen, so...”
“O-oh, I didn’t think about that.”
“Now my harem plans have been ruined!” Gamëra joked.
“While I don’t know much about this, there is something I can do.”
“What is that?”
“I can design something to give him the ability to turn into a squid, and swim in ink, and do anything we can do.”
Tom tilted his head in confusion.
“Yeah, I’m at a loss for what’s happening as well,” Jax said.
Marina whispered something in his ear, in his language. He nodded in understanding.
“Thank you, Bertha! Let us know when it’s done!” Said Emma.
“Sure thing!” Replied Bertha.
Chapter 9 Staying Fresh
“Once again, a stupid title,” Callie said.
A little before R4 and D3 had exited the house...
“This is boring,” Callie complained.
“Stay patient,” Replied Marie. “Something’ll come up eventually.” On that word, they heard an explosion.
“What was that?!” Yelled Callie, jumping up.
“I don’t know,” Said Marie. “We should probably check it out.”
“It sounded like it came from above, in Inkopolis.” Said Callie.
When they got to the surface, the commotion had ended.
“You’re, like, providing negative description right now,” Spirit said.
“Huh...” Said Marie. They then noticed a human.
“What.” Said Callie.
“Uh...” Said Marie.
“We should go to him.” Said Callie. “Uh... Okay.”

“Why are we headed to Ammo Knights?” Asked Sarah.
“I think Tom should get a weapon.” Said Marina. “He should be able to defend himself.” “But... Isn’t this giving a gun to a kid?” Asked Sarah.
“So we should just let him be kidnapped, then?” Asked Pearl sarcastically.
“Well, no, but...”
“Then this is a good idea.”
“That sounds suspiciously like something a certain someone would say,” Gamëra said.
“Who?” Susie asked.
“Uh…I don’t think we can say without offending others…just, if you know, you know. Just think orange.”

“Welcome!” Said Sheldon. “Are you looking to b- Is that a human?” “Yes, please don’t ask questions.” Said Kara.
“O-okay... what would you like to buy?”
“That was a question!” Flowey said.
“Whatever you think suits a human.” Said Zina.
"Well... I made a prototype for a weapon. I call it a Humanshot. It’s sized and designed to be wielded by a human, but I didn’t expect an actual human to arrive.”
“...’Humanshot’?” Asked Zina.
“H-hey, I don’t have many names for it! Anyways, it’s 100,000p.”
Kara stepped forwards, Octo Roller in hand. “I-Uh... 50,000p! 50,000p! That’s my final offer!”
“Ah, more illegal threatening and assault,” V said. “Cool.”
“Fine.” Said Kara.

“Again?!” Yelled OL. She was getting annoyed.
“That’s it, I’ll go after him myself. You’ll see how a true warrior handles things! You both are temporarily stripped from your rank. Be thankful it isn’t worse!”
She stormed off.
...
“Well, that was a big day.” Said Sarah.
“Yeah, 24 hours, am I right?!” Liam snarked.
“Yeah. I think we should train Tom tomorrow.” Said Marina. “I agree. I’m sleepy.” Said Emma.
Chapter 10 Training
The next day...
“Tom, wake up!” Tom woke up to see Marina in his face. “AAH!” Tom yelled, and fell out of his bed.
“…which would be into Marina,” Susie said.
“I don’t know, the bed could be in the middle of the room.”
…No. …No, it isn’t.
“Oh. Then that’s just stupid, nevermind.”
“Oops... I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. What were you in my room for?”
“Don’t even think about it,” Flowey said to Gamëra.
“I wasn’t even gonna say anything, what the hell?!”
“Today, you’re gonna get trained!”
“Wha?”
“You got a weapon, and you’ll need to know how to use it! Also, Bertha said she finished the device!”
“Bertha?”
“Oh yeah, you didn’t hear. She’s that scientist.”
“Oh. Okay!”
“Let me know when you’re ready.” She left.
Tom got up and got dressed.
...
“Hey, Bertha!” Said Sarah.
“Hello!” Said Bertha. “Are you here to take the device?”
“Yep!”
“Okay, let me get it.”
Bertha went into the other room.
“So...” Said Marina, to Tom. “Tell me about yourself. Like, what your life was like before, you know...” “Oh, well, I was a YouTuber.”
“What?”
“Oh, it’s like a video website.”
“Ah.”
“I made videos on it.”
“About what?”
“Gaming. As in, recording myself playing video games.”
“Oh. That sounds cool.”
“Yeah.”
“Why’re you chatting with him so much?” Asked Pearl.
“Not sure if asking someone one question that lasted for like 10 seconds is a lot,” Chara said.
“He’s still a kid. And being a kid, he has no one to look up to or care for him. That’s why I’ve been doing that. Kind of like his parent.”
“Oh. That’s nice of you.” Said Pearl.
“I’m back!” Said Bertha, coming out with an odd device that resembled an ink tank, but it wasn’t hollow.
“How do we use it?”
“Just touch it to his back.”
Marina did so. It then sucked itself onto his back. Tom jolted.
“Are you okay?” Asked Marina.
“Y-es, just a little surprised-“ Tom suddenly turned into a squid. Then back again. Then back. Then back again. Tom started rapidly changing back and forth.
“HA! HE’S SQUIDBAGGING!” Gamëra yelled. “THAT’S A STUPID JOKE!”
“Why are you yelling?!” Marina asked.
“I DON’T KNOW!”
Marina tried to find a way to stop it, but flinched every time she got near.
“Oh, for- move.” Said Pearl, as she pushed Marina out of the way. She then slapped Tom square in the back.
“Pearl!! What are you do-“ Tom suddenly turned back.
“Dibsosaba.”
“Got it, ‘dibsosaba’ thank you. Cool,” Flowey said.
“I’m not sure that’s true,” Emma said.
“Quiet, Baylnxdt.” Gamëra said.
“He says thank you.” Said Marina.
“You’re welcome,” Said Pearl.
“I think I got the hang of it, now.” Tom said.
“Wha-I can understand you!” Sarah gawked.
“And I can understand you!”
“Well, I DID say that he would be able to do everything you can do.” Said Bertha.
“This is awesome!” Emma said jumping up and down.
“Baylnxdt really fits my personality,” Sayori observed.
“Well, now that you can do that,” Marina said. “We can train you!”
“Sure!” Said Tom.

“Okay, is this the place?” Asked Tom.
“Uh-huh,” Replied Marina.
“First,” She said.
“Hit the balloons.” Marina tossed a few balloons into the air. The balloons started moving around.
“Magic balloons!” N joked.
Tom readied his Humanshot, and fired. He hit one. 2 to go. He hit the others in one shot.
“Bravo!” Said Emma, clapping.
Next, Sarah threw another balloon, but it was behind a grate.
“Your squid form can go through it. Shoot ink, and swim through it.
Tom did so, and hit the balloon.
“Once again, quotations are missing,” Yuri said.
“YOU’RE A KID NOW!” Flowey yelled.
“YOU’RE A SQUID NOW!” Gamëra yelled back.
“YOU’RE A KID NOW!”

“Guys, seriously, shut up!” Liam yelled.
“Now that,” He said. “That is cool.”
Pearl then through a balloon onto a high cliff.
“…ignoring all laws of physics,” Pearl said.
“You can swim up walls, if you ink it.”
“Ink it with what?” Gamëra said.
“Ink. No more questions.” Marina said.
Tom did just that, and hit the balloon.
“Finally,” Said Kara. “You need to defeat me.”
“But, won’t you die?”
Kara pointed at an odd device.
“That is a Respawner. You can probably tell what it does.”
“Okay.”
Tom started by running at Kara, and shot. She gracefully dodged, then jumped behind him. She jumped in the air, and Tom dodged before she landed on him. He shot her, and it seemed like he was winning, when she turned into a squid, and sank into her ink. When she came out, she was completely better!
Tom inked a wall, and noticed her running up behind him with her roller. Tom quickly swam up the wall, before she hit him. She then through a triangular container that was full of ink. He realized that it was a bomb! He got hit, and sank into his ink before he was defeated.
“That’s a sub weapon!” Marina called. “Use your own!”
“…but he was defeated?” Bill asked.
Tom tried it. He ended up throwing out a ginormous bomb, that stayed there, pulsating. After about 2 seconds, it started to expand.
“Wait...” Said Kara.
“I just realized that this might be a bomb!” Gamëra joked in Kara’s voice.
Before she had time to react, it exploded, covering a large area in ink, and even launching flecks of paint onto the people watching.
Chapter 11
The Elite and the kidnapped
“That takes the cake for stupidest chapter name,” Liam said.
“I still think that wasn’t fair,” Kara complained.
“Fair is fair, Kara.” Said Marina. “Tom won.”
“…with a weapon that doesn’t exist,” Bacteria said sarcastically.
They were startled by someone clearing their throat. They turned around to see two Inklings. One had long black tentacles with specs of pink in it. The other had two green short tentacles with white specs in it.
“C-CALLIE?! M-M-MARIE?!” Yelled Sarah in surprise.
“So, someone knows us.” Said Marie.
“Yeah, we came from Inkopolis Plaza, so it’s nice to see someone know us.” Said Callie.
“Why are you here?” Asked Sarah.
“Well, we were in Octo Canyon, and heard an explosion. We came to investigate, and saw you.” Marie’s gaze fell to Tom.
“Me?”
“You can talk?” Asked Callie.
“Yes.”
“Anyways, yes, you. After all, you’re a human.”
“I guess.”
“Yeah, I GUESS I’m a human,” Liam joked. “I don’t know…”
“Anyways,” Callie went on. “We saw two Octolings running away, back into the manhole.
“Yeah, they were trying to kidnap Tom.” Said Kara.
“Why?” Asked Marie.
“They want to use me to power their place. It almost killed me last time, but I escaped.”
“Ah, I see.” Said Marie. “In that case, could we help?”
“Why?” Asked Sarah.
“Because we-“
“Because we’re bored and have nothing else to do.” Interrupted Callie.
“We- ...Yes.” Said Marie.
Donkey broke down the wall.
“NOT, FUNNY!” he rapped.
“DIDN’T, LAUGH!”
“But we also want to help you find a way to get back home.”
“Thank you, then.” Said Tom.
“I’ve been in Octo Canyon before, and I know they have the tech to do it.” Said Kara.
“Really?!” Said Tom, excited.
“No.” Kara said.
“Yeah. We’ll just have to steal it.”
“You know, the usual,” Monika said.
“We’ll, then let’s go!” Said Tom.
“I…what?” SMG3 asked, unable to even come up with a joke.
“Okay!” Said Tom. Just as he stepped to the exit, he realized he’d stepped on a tiny bit of magenta ink.
“That’s blood,” Susie said.
Suddenly, the puddle formed into an... Octoling?!
“…nevermind,” Susie corrected herself. “Guess Octolings can shapeshift.”
The Octoling immediately grabbed him, her arms going between his arms and shoulders, and pulled him against her.
“Tom!” Yelled Sarah, running towards him. But she was shot by another Octoling, who was hiding. Kara ran at Tom, but the same thing happened to her. 6 more appeared, and grabbed Emma, Zina, Marina, Callie, Marie, and Pearl.
“Heh, that was too easy.” Said another Octoling, steppping out from behind a wall. She had black hair with kelp in it. Kara struggled and was able to push off the Octoling, but she was shot and grabbed again.
“…Giving the previous sentence no meaning,” Tom said.
“Octo Canyon will be powered forever!” She gleefully stated.
She then turned into an octopus, still holding onto Tom, and super jumped back into the manhole with him. The other Octolings super jumped back with them.
Chapter 12 Captured
“Psst! Tom... Tom! Can you hear me? Tom!”
Tom woke up to notice that he was tied to a small pole, in a building. Next to him was Callie, tied as well.
“They’re gonna get sacrificed by some tribe in the forest!” Gamëra yelled!
“That was specific,” Zina said.
“Oh yeah, it’s not out yet (and probably won’t be for another 10-20 years)…”
“What?”
“About time you woke up!” She whispered.
“Where are we?” Asked Tom.
“Where do you think?” Callie hissed. “We’re in an Octo Dome!”
“What?”
“...A building.”
“Oh.”
“They’re gonna take your life source soon, I heard them. We have to find a way to escape!”
“How?”
“You still have your weapon, right?”
“Yeah. I have an idea!”
“octolings are just really incompetent, huh?” Sans asked.
“Quiet!” Callie suddenly whispered. Tom heard muffled footsteps coming by. He also could make out some voices.
“You got him?”
“Yes, I did. Soon, I’ll take his power.”
“Good. Don’t mess this up, OL045.
“Yes, EUOC01.”
Tom heard the doorknob turn.
“Quick! Pretend to be asleep!” Callie whispered.
Tom did that. He pressed his eyes shut. He could only rely on sound. He heard footsteps coming up to him. He felt a hand push his chin up.
“Heh... Soon you’ll be electricity...” She whispered in his ear. Tom tried as hard as he could not to shiver or cry. Soon, she left.
“…that legitimately made it seem like the Octoling had different motives.“ Gamëra started.
“Oh, geez, we gotta do this fast.” Said Callie, with a scared look on her face.
“First, she whispered,” Flowey said. “Second, you already knew that was gonna happen. What changes anything?”
Tom bit his gun, and cocked his head to the side, and threw the gun at Callie. It then clattered to the ground.
“You idiot.” Callie whispered. “What do you think I would do with that? Headbutt it?” Tom heard footsteps coming back. Tom closed his eyes again.
“Hm... I could’ve sworn I heard something... Hey, a gun. I bet it fell out of his pocket while he was unconscious. Well, I’ll just take it.” Tom’s heart stopped. He heard her leave.
“Great. Just great.” Said Callie. Tom heard footsteps again. He closed his eyes, but heard someone else come in. He opened his eyes.
“Pearl?!” Marina stepped out behind Pearl.
“Marina! You’re here!”
“Shh! Keep it down,” Said Marina, pressing a finger to her lips.
“Sorry.” Tom whispered. “How’d you escape?”
“Pearl chewed through the ropes, then mine.”
“She didn’t just untie you?” Asked Callie.
“I didn’t really think about that,” Said Pearl.
“You know-“ Gamëra started.
Gamëra has been muted for 30 seconds.
“Let’s not waste time.” Said Marina, untying Tom. Pearl untied Callie. “Now, let’s free the others.” Said Callie.
They moved on to the next room, avoiding Octolings. In the next room they found Marie, Sarah, and Emma in there.
“There you are!” Whispered Marie. “I thought I’d have to listen to Sarah and Emma talk forever.”
“Man, I’m so cool,” Gamëra joked.
“Hey!” Said Emma.
They moved to the next room. In there, they found Zina.
“Thanks.” Said Zina.
They moved onto the next room, and found two Octolings casually chatting.
“Well, you know, you could take a more strategic approach, and-“ one of them noticed them.
“What are you-“ The second one noticed as well. They all stared at each other for about 15 seconds. Then one of the Octolings shrugged, and went back to the conversation.
“Let’s say nothing about this, alright? I’m not feeling like fighting. If we don’t say anything, we won’t get in trouble. After all, we ARE stripped from our rank.” She said to the other Octoling. They slowly closed the door.
“Okay, moving on...” Said Marie. In the last room, they found Kara.
“Finally.” She said.
“Now, let’s steal the tech, and get out of here.” Said Marina.
They eventually found their way to the center of the dome. One time, Tom wasn’t looking, and almost walked into an Octoling’s line of sight, but luckily he was pulled back by Callie in time.
At the center, they found an odd device In a floating sphere.
“That looks like the thing we’ll looking for,” Said Marina. Just as she reached out to it, she heard an evil laugh.
“MUAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!” Gamëra yelled. “AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!”
“You done?” Flowey asked.
“GRAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!”
Behind her was that black-haired Octoling from before.
“What do you think you’re doing?” She asked. The device vanished. It was a hologram!
“You want-
“YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-“
“Gamëra, do you WANT to be muted?” Monika asked.
-to know what that is?” She asked.
“That...” She smiled. “Is where you’ll be killed!”
“That sounds like something you’d hear in an anime,” Demon commented.
The sphere started to glow, and started to suck Tom in! Marina grabbed onto Tom’s hand, as the Octoling laughed. Marina was able to pull Tom back, and shot the sphere. It exploded.
“You...” Said the Octoling. “You...”
“I’ll kill all of you! And I’ll force you to watch as all your friends die! Then, I’ll kill your and drag your dead body to another machine myself! I’LL-“She was hit by Kara, and vanished.
“…vanished from the plot, hopefully,” Liam said.
“Something we never learned in the Octo Army-“
“Okay, I’m sure that isn’t the actual name,” Tom said.
“Yeah, it’s not,” Kara said.
She said. “Is that monologuing will always be the end of you.”
“You know, I’ve always wanted to try one of those evil monologues,” Gamëra said. “After all, gotta practice for my game.”
He cleared his throat.
“So…you have arrived. I have been waiting for you, Arëmag. You thought collecting all seven…” he thought for a moment. “Dragon spheres would make you stand a chance? You FOOL! I AM A GOD, AND YOU SHALL COWER BEFORE MY POWER! あなたはもう死んでいる, 愚か者! …was that good?”
“…Uh…” Liam said. “No comment.”
“We... we did it.” Said Tom, panting.”
“Don’t celebrate yet.” Tom heard a voice.
Chapter 13
The Ethereal Octo
“So, a ghost Octoling?” Susie asked. “Yeah, right.”
He turned to see another Octoling, with white, wispy hair. She dashed at Tom, vanishing halfway to him. Tom looked around. He was suddenly struck in the back by her. He turned around, and she jumped in the air.
“Oh. She actually is a ghost. Somehow.”
“Get out of they way!” Yelled Pearl “GET OUT OF THE-...Splashdown.“ The Octoling crashed down, sending Tom flying in the air. She zipped towards him, grabbed him midair, and slammed him onto the ground, pushing him against it.
“This is genuinely an anime battle,” Flowey said, incredulous.
“Ooh! I could use this for my speech!” Gamëra said.
“Eh… maybe you should try something other than anime for that,” Marie said.
“Yeah, you’re probably right.”
Before he could react, she lifted a fist, still pressing him against the ground. Ink swirled around it. She slammed it into his chest. She then picked him up, swung him around, and threw him into the wall. He crashed through it, stopping at the edge of a cliff. Everything went quiet. He just heard a high-pitched sound, and saw the Octoling slowly teleporting towards him in a zigzag pattern. She grabbed the collar of his shirt, and lifted him up. Her hand moved up to his neck, and held him over the edge. Just as he was about to give up hope, a tentacle of ink wrapped around him, and pulled him back. He saw that Marina had done that.
“…somehow.” Sayori said.
He fell to the ground, and Marina got in front of him. Along with her were everyone else.
“Stay. Away. From. Him.” Said Kara. The Octoling looked surprised for a second, then shook her head. She dashed directly at Tom, but was hit by a combined attack from everyone.
“…that you aren’t gonna describe, right?” Chara asked.
She still got up, and ran at Tom. Just then, Tom felt Marina give something to him.
“Use it. Now!” Said Marina. Tom threw it at the Octoling, and it exploded 10 times, launching an Inkstrike into the air. When the dust had settled, it seemed they had won, but the Octoling launched herself out of it, and at Tom. Then the Inkstrike landed on her. When the dust had really settled, there was no more of her. She was dead.
“That took longer than it had to.” Said Pearl.
“That’s the understatement of the year.” Said Marie.
Just then, they noticed a UFO in the sky.
“Wait, is that-“ Said Callie.
“Oh, no.” Said Marie. Suddenly, the UFO abducted them all!
“ALIEN TRAFFICKERS FROM SPACE!” Gamëra yelled. “…That sounds like something you’d here out of a tabloid.
Chapter 14
Cooking up some wasabi
“That’s right, hipsters!” Octavio yelled. “It’s time for…COOKING WITH OCTAVIO! We gotta make that a show.”
“Where are we...?” Asked Tom. He looked up, and saw a giant floating robot. In it was an Octopus holding... Wasabi?
“GYAHAHA! I’M BACK AND PUMPING BEATS!”
“What the heck?” Said Tom.
“Dj Octavio.” Said Marie.
“Is he supposed to be this hammy?” “...Sadly, yes.” Said Callie.
“So…since you didn’t say who said that, Callie answered her own question,” Marina said.
“I’MA DUBSTOMP YOU INTO OBLIVION!”
“That sounds like something Mario would say-“ SMG4 started, before Mario broke down the door that was apparently there.
“Did someone say Mario’s name?” Mario asked. “IT’S-A-ME, MARIO!” he said that with his voice autotuned.
“Oh god.”
“Ugh, my ears!” Tom complained.
“This is just the start.” Said Marie.
Dj Octavio launched a fist at Tom. Instinctively, he shot it a few times, and launched it back at him. It hit him in the face.
“BLUURGH! Slimy little hipster!” Yelled Dj Octavio.
He shot another fist, and Tom did the same.
“LAUNCH THE POWER CHORDS!”
Two giant balls of ink launched out. Tom dodged.
“…that wasn’t even a pun, what was that?” Liam asked.
“It was something about power chords on piano,” Monika said. “Like, when you play a chord but take out the middle note…but that was still a terrible pun.”
“TIME TO D-D-D-D-DROP THE SEA BASS!
A giant missile launched at them. Tom shot it a few times, and launched it back. Something he had not prepared for, however, was the Dj launching it back. Luckily, Kara hit it back with her Roller. “AAAAARGHAGHRGHLL!”
“How do you even pronounce that?” Natsuki asked.
Tom then tossed his giant bomb into Dj Octavio’s bot.
Dj Octavio then exploded.
“Uh... well, that just happened.” Said Tom.
“Uh... yeah.” Said Callie.
“So... I guess you’re not gonna die.” Said Pearl.
“Uh... yeah.” Said Tom.
“That was extremely anticlimactic, to the point that I’m annoyed,” Liam said.
“Wait...” Said Marina. “This robot has the parts we can use to get you back to your time!”
“Really?!”
“Yeah! Let’s go to Bertha!”
“Talk about plot convenience!” Gamëra joked.
Chapter 15
Parting is such sweet sorrow
“Yes, you do have the parts.” Said Bertha. “I’ll build it now.” “So...” Said Sarah.
“I guess this is it.” Said Pearl.
“Yeah...” Said Marina.
“This was really fun.” Said Tom. “It’s done!” Said Bertha. “Tom...” Said Marina.
“Yes?”
Marina hugged him.
“I’ll... I’ll miss you.”
Slowly, everyone else hugged him.
“Please don’t forget about us.” Said Sarah.
“I’ll remember you.” Said Zina.
“Please don’t go,” Said Emma.
“You better remember us.” Said Kara.
Everyone said things like that, the hug tightening. Tom cried a little. He’d only known these people for a few days, and yet they became his friends so soon. This was too much. Tom let out a big sob. He’d never told anyone, but he was like that.
The embrace continued for a few minutes.
“Okay.” He said.
He turned around, and slowly stepped into the portal.

...He wasn’t gonna leave. He had such a good life there. He’d made his choice. Now it was time to ACT ON IT!!! He turned around, and lunged back at the portal just as it closed. It resulted it an explosion.
“…okay.” Bill said.

Just as they had turned around, they heard a crash. Marina turned around. There was Tom, stuck halfway between it.
“Quick, pull him out! It’s crushing him!” Yelled Marina. She pulled on his shoulders. Callie and Marie pulled on his arms. Kara pulled on his whole body with all her strength. Eventually, Tom popped out, everyone landing in a pile.
“What... what happened?” Panted Marina. “Well,” Said Callie. “If it didn’t work, we can-“
“No.” Tom interrupted. “I want to stay here. With you guys.”
Marina’s eyes filled with tears.
“You... you...” She ran into him and hugged him, along with everyone else. “Thank you.”
“Whoa,” Said Tom. “If you really wanted me to stay here, you could’ve just said so.”
“We just assumed you wanted to go home.” Said Pearl.
“Yeah, I wanted to at first, but... you guys are the biggest family I could ever ask for. I love you guys.“ “Well...” Said Marina. “We’re more than happy to have you here.”
“Also, there’s something we want to show you.” Said Sarah.
“Yeah.” Said Pearl. Marina covered his eyes, and they walked somewhere.
“Are you ready?” Asked Marina.
“Yes.”
She took her hands off his eyes, and he was amazed at what he saw.
“This....” He said.
“Yes.” Said Marina. “This is our home now.”
“We rebuilt our house to be bigger, and Callie, Marina, Pearl, and Marie moved in! Now we can all live together!” Said Emma.
“That makes literally no since, since there wasn’t any time to make it, and also there are like 5 other things that are wrong with that!” Tom said.
A single tear of happiness ran down his face.
From then on, Tom’s new life began.
Epilogue
Tom woke up with a smile on his face. He started a new day, with his new family. Just like every day, this would be fun. He went to sleep at the end of the day, excited for the next day.
“That was a fast and pointless day,” Flowey said.
In a nearby alleyway...
“yeah, that’s him, alright.” A skeleton in pink slippers said.
“Should we get him now?” Asked a talking flower.
“nah.” Replied the skeleton. “we should wait.”
“I THINK THOSE OTHER SQUIDIPUSSES SHOULD COME TO!” Yelled a lanky skeleton looking like it came out of a superhero movie.
“that’s the point, paps.” Said the fat short one.
“i dare you to say that again.” Said the skeleton, clearly breaking the fourth wall. “whoops.”
“Basically, we gotta save the multiverse.” Said the flower.
“to put it lightly, yeah.” Said the short skeleton.
“you know, sans us. we’re already here.” Said the skeleton.
“OH. MY. GOD!!! THAT JOKE WAS WORSE THAN YOUR OTHERS!” Yelled the tall skeleton.
“i found it pretty humerus. i wonder what’ll tickle your funny bone.”
“PUN. OVERLOAD. CAN NOT COMPUTE.” The tall skeleton’s head fell off.
“That was kinda funny, up until that ‘joke’,” Susie said.
“Oh, for-“ Said the exasperated flower. It brought a vine out of the ground, and put his head back on.
“Am I am ‘it’ to you?” Flowey asked.
“ALAS, POOR PAPYRUS-WHAT? THANK YOU, FLOWEY!” Yelled... Papyrus.
“anyways, tomorrow we should get him.”
