    Summary

The air was thick with ash and scorched earth. Alexandria, once Shadow Garden’s pillar, lay in ruin. Crumbled stone and twisted steel blanketed the ground. Above, crimson clouds pulsed unnaturally, casting a hellish glow over the wreckage.

Shadow knelt in the rubble, breath ragged, coat torn and bloodied. His slime sword flickered weakly, nearly drained.

Before him stood a figure cloaked in dark power. It looked like him—but wrong. Twisted. Its body shimmered with black slime, tendrils tipped with crimson crystals pulsing with unstable magic.

Shadow glared up. “Why do you look like me? A clone? A knockoff?”

The figure smirked. Its voice echoed with Cid’s tone—but colder, crueler.

“I am Shadow. I am the Demon Diabolos.”

It raised a jagged crimson blade, humming with power. “I’m the stronger you. The one who accepts truth—without weakness.”

Shadow’s grip tightened. He recalled White’s words: “The Library of Babylon links worlds. The first book I opened with my daughter Babylonis? It was the strongest you.”
