The commission had sent her on a simple job. Wait for the criminal Jin Bubaigawara to rob the back she was waiting outside of, and take care of him before he could even start cloning.
Except, well, it was much harder to pick out one blonde haired person in a crowd of people with cat ears and floating eyes than one would think. Jin didn’t have any easily seeable deformities from this far away. She was so lost in this train of thought that she barely had time to whip around and hold a gun up to the man who’d approached her. He had a beanie on, stubble, smelled horrible..
“Uh, sorry to bother you. Finally, release from this world! Shut up..” He cleared his throat. “Uh, do you know directions to the Help Well Bank?”
Of course he was a charity case. “It’s right down there. Why the hell did you come up to the top of a building to ask?”
“Well, I thought it’d be a good vantage point.” He leans around her. “…seems like you did too.”
“That’s nothing. I’m..just taking photos.”
“I used to like photography. What kinda camera you got?”
“..It’s a brand from..France. You wouldn’t know what a..” Sorry, French People, she really needed a fake name. “A JeanLooParis camera is, anyway.”
The man blinked twice.
“Sure thing. I ain’t a snitch! One time we agree.. Thanks, uh..what’s your name?”
“..I don’t have time for pleasantries, I’m on a job.”
“..Whatever.” She didn’t even watch him leave as she turned back around and went back to her scope.
That idiot could’ve made her miss her target.
