- Neither of them are online all that much, at least not in the early 2000s. Andre is the only one between the two of them with his own computer, but he doesn’t use it for leisure as much as practical uses, like slideshows for school, curating job and college applications, things like that. Anything else is probably just coding or whatever. I feel like he’s tried looking at porn on it once, just out of curiosity. But the time it took to load a single image was too excruciating, so he figured if he really wanted to, he could just swipe a magazine from a convenience store or something.
- Cal's family might have a single shared computer they have in the corner of their living room or something, but that's about it. His parents probably use it for similar reasons to Andre, documents for work, insurance, etc. But him and his siblings probably just take turns drawing on MS Paint or something.
- Andre doesn't like straws. Idk, I feel like he just thinks they're girly. It's kinda like how some straight guys have to eat bananas cut up into pieces so they don't feel gay. I don't think he'd go THAT far though. He's secure enough to eat a banana like regular. Shockingly.
- Andre is just generally picky about food, and Cal couldn't care less most of the time. Obviously, there's things he just doesn't like, but he's pretty open to trying new things. Andre is far more comfortable just eating the same five meals he knows he loves. It's not that he hates change (he kind of does), he just likes consistently. Can't blame a guy for knowing what he likes.
- Andre's favorite dessert is chocolate cake with cherry frosting. I honestly don't remember if I read this in another fic, saw it in someone else's hcs, or what. Maybe it came to me in a dream, I dunno. Regardless, it just makes so much sense to me for no real reason. I don't even think he's particularly fond of chocolate in general, but I feel like he really likes chocolate cake and artificial cherry flavor.
- Again, he's not really a fan of ACTUAL cherries, but this guy could kill an entire jar of maraschino cherries in a matter of minutes. He's just got a secret sweet tooth. He also really likes the cherry Jolly Ranchers.
- This is a teensy bit messed up, but i feel like cal makes like, Nazi jokes towards Andre. Not a whole lot, but also way more than anyone should, especially towards their JEWISH FRIEND. It's not because he actually believes in any of it, he's just an edgy white boy in the early 2000s, and likes to piss Andre off. He also calls him a jew "as a joke" sometimes, because I feel like he'd be pretty into South Park.
- Both of these piss Andre off, but he's kind of used to the jew thing because he gets it a lot at school too. I don't think he likes South Park all that much because of this. He'd probably actually like a lot of the humor in the show, but he's just too put off by it at this point.
- Bigger picture, but Cal really likes getting Andre upset. I feel like he just likes annoying people in general, but especially Andre. Partially because they're friends (duh), but also because Andre kinda holds his own for the most part, at least in public. Like, he isn't "calm" exactly, but he's usually very stoic and serious. He likes getting a rise out of people like that. He also likes annoying Rachel, but not to the same extent as Andre bc she doesn't get as upset when he succeeds, she's normally pretty expressive already, and she just doesn't take him that seriously anyway because she's known him for longer than Andre has. She knows how he acts, and doesn't treat everything like a personal attack like Andre does.
- Cal and Andre both have pretty similar tastes in music. They like a lot of the same bands, artists, and genres, but I feel like Andre likes stuff that's a little slower overall. Like, he likes a lot of different metal and alternative rock that Cal likes (Pearl Jam, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the Machine, etc.), but he also likes a lot of more mellow music (at least in comparison to the former), like Pixies, Slowdive, Neutral Milk Hotel, everything like that.
- I don't think that Cal minds any of those bands, or bands like them, but he probably rags on Andre a bit for having more "pretentious" taste.
