Work Text:

Han leaned back and stretched against the couch, listening to Woongki’s endless chattering (that he enjoyed more than he’d like to admit.) A quick tap on his phone revealed the time: 3:02 AM.

“Hyung,” Han said, turning to face his member. “Don’t we have a schedule in a few hours?”

Woongki stopped talking, pouted, then yawned for the first time since the start of their conversation. “Guess so,” he said. His eyes traveled to the door, then back to Han. A small smile grew on his face. “Why, you’re tired?”

Han shrugged. “It would be nice to not pass out.”

“But you’ll be there to catch me, right, Hani?”

Han laughed and looked away, trying to ignore how hot his face got. “Sure. Whatever you say.”

The television buzzed in his ears as they sat silent. Han’s gaze shifted back to Woongki, who was adjusting his pajama shirt. As they made eye contact, however, Woongki smiled.

It made Han’s heart jump.

It also made him inhale too fast, causing him to somehow choke on air. He bent over, coughing into his elbow as Woongki patted his back, humming and making noises he assumed were supposed to be reassuring (and they were — maybe just not for the reasons they’re supposed to be.)

“If you’re forgetting how to breathe, maybe it’s time to head to bed, after all,” Woongki said, teasing.

After recovering, Han simply shook his head. “Maybe…”

Despite their almost-agreement, none of them moved. Instead, they continued watching whatever episode of whatever random show they put on as if they never abandoned it in the first place.

I’ve waited 800 years for this…’

‘I’ve waited an eternity…

The two main characters shared a kiss, and the show faded to black. Han watched for Woongki’s reaction, noticing his furrowed brows.

“That’s it?” he said.

Han laughed. “As if you were paying attention…”

“No, that was so lame,” Woongki said, facing Han and gesturing to the screen with a thumb. “Where was the buildup? Also, did you see? No one kisses like that. And, you’d think after all those centuries, they’d at least be, like, ah, kiss me more, mwah mwah mwah…

As Woongki acted out his dream scene — hands grabbing at the air, lips pursed, and all — Han could only laugh and clutch his own face as it heated up again. Woongki opened his eyes, and Han spoke with a hidden grin. “Is that your acting experience talking?”

Woongki’s arms crossed. “Acting experience?” He laughed. “Try experience.”

Han blinked. Right… he’d overheard a few of Woongki’s conversations with the other members (namely Shuaibo and JL,) but he’d never thought to personally ask him about his… dating life. Not like he’d want to, anyway. Maybe.

“Yeah, yeah,” Han said, scratching his neck. “That’s what I meant. I noticed it, too. Totally unnatural.”

Woongki’s brows raised. “You did?”

At that, Han’s head tilted. “...Yes? I mean, you said — ”

“I definitely thought you’ve never kissed anyone, before.”

Han’s eyes widened, and his mouth spoke faster than his brain when he stuttered out, “N-no, I have…”

No I haven’t.

…Why did I lie?

As if holding back a laugh, Woongki pressed his lips into a thin line before glancing over Han, something working behind his eyes. Then, he leaned into the couch, resting his cheek in his palm while staring at Han with a smile. “Oh? Who was it, Hani?”

Fuck.

Han cleared his throat. He could come clean about it; after all, why did he care so much whether Woongki knew if he’d had his first kiss, or not? Surely, there were other members in the same situation. It’s not like it was weird, or bad, or anything.

Right. I’ll just tell him I was joking.

Han exhaled, and said, “It was a trainee.”

He’s in too deep, now. Might as well keep digging.

Han bit his cheek. He heard Woongki’s signature squeal before seeing his feet kick in excitement.

“Okay,” Woongki started, “tell me all about her.”

Her?

Right, her.

“She…” Han stared at the floor, trying to rack his brain for an answer that sounded normal. “She was just a normal girl. It wasn’t… a big thing. Just a kiss. That’s all that happened.”

Woongki only kept staring at him, pouting, this time. Han noticed the way light bounced off his eyes, the way his strands of hair fell in front of his face… he felt the urge to sweep them out of the way. Not in the way he wanted to help him stay neat and tidy during fansigns or events, but because he just… wanted to.

Ridiculous. I’m being ridiculous.

“So,” Woongki said, “you lied.”

Han’s jaw dropped. “Huh?”

Then, Woongki sat with his back straight, placing his hands on his hips. “One tiny kiss doesn’t count as experience!”

Han scoffed, then smiled at the ground. Perfect. This was his out — not quite the truth, but close enough to it that he didn’t need to say anything more. He opened his mouth to speak, then looked back at Woongki.

His voice faltered at the sight of him. “I’ve had… others.”

What is wrong with me…

Immediately, Woongki stood to his feet and laughed, causing Han’s eyes to widen. “I was playing along, at first, but, really, you don’t have to keep lying…”

Han stood up with him. “I’m not lying.”

He cleared his throat again, flustered from being eye-to-eye with his hyung. Woongki raised his brows, then giggled. “Right, right. Show me, then.”

Han’s stomach dropped. “What?

Woongki bounced on his heels as he spoke. “Until you show me you know how to kiss, I’ll never believe you!”

Han blinked. Woongki was teasing him. Clearly. There was nothing special about the way he said it; it was just another normal day where Woongki made these flirtatious jokes about him.

So why…

Han’s heart pounded as his arm raised to wrap almost completely around Woongki’s waist. He felt the fabric of Woongki’s shirt against his arm, as well as the warmth of his torso wrapped in it.

Woongki’s eyes widened, a small, shocked noise escaping him. “Hani, what — “

“I’m… p-proving you wrong…”

Han took an awkward step forward, nearly stepping on Woongki’s toes. Then, he looked at him straight in the eyes.

Woongki-hyung has really pretty eyes.

Then, he looked at his lips.

Woongki-hyung has really nice lips.

Han’s fingers gripped Woongki’s waist tighter the closer he moved — whether out of anxiety or longing, he didn’t know.

He didn’t know anything, anymore. He just wanted to feel how Woongki’s lips felt on his.

Han closed his eyes. He heard the rustling of their pajamas as they moved around, and Woongki’s slow breathing start to stutter. He felt at Woongki’s waist, Woongki’s hot breath against his face, Woongki’s nose bumping into his, Woongki’s hand grabbing the back of his neck, fingers tracing circles on his bare skin. It made him shiver.

And then, he felt Woongki’s lips press against his.

Woongki’s fingers curl into his neck.

Woongki exhale from his nose, warm air hitting his upper lip.

His lips are so soft.

Suddenly, Woongki pulled away, making Han finally open his eyes. He found Woongki with his face flushed, pressing his lips together, scanning him over with a thought.

Hani,” Woongki said.

Han could only stare, frozen in place.

“That felt like… kissing a brick wall…”

Han stood, his jaw still hanging open. He couldn’t find the words to say anything.

How could he?

He just kissed Woongki.

And Woongki just… dissed him?

Hey,” Han said, “You just… you weren’t cooperating, o-or something — “

Woongki laughed right in his face. “Cooperating?

Han quickly nodded. “So… your fault. Not mine.” Before Woongki could retort, he spoke up again, eyes looking off to the side. “I proved it, then. Done. I have experience.”

Neither of them let go, however. Han still held Woongki’s waist, ocassionally giving it a small squeeze. Similarly, Woongki’s hand didn’t dare leave Han’s neck; in fact, it inched closer and closer to his hair. Woongki pulled slightly at it. Han made a noise, then looked back at him, his heartbeat still pounding in his eardrums.

I still don’t believe you,” Woongki said, quiet.

Han watched Woongki’s long lashes flutter closed.

Woongki leaned in.

Han closed his eyes as he did the same.

Again — Han felt every tangible sensation as they kissed. This time, however, Han tried focusing on what Woongki was doing. If he copied him, surely he wouldn’t tease and call him a “brick wall” again…

Though, that’s what led him to kiss me again…

Han exhaled through his nose and brought his free hand to rest on Woongki’s back, pushing him even closer. Han tried relaxing his lips. He noticed he’d been tensing them, which was most likely what gave Woongki that impression.

Immediately, as his lips softened, Woongki parted his own further, deepening the kiss.

Han’s heart pounded. He let out a shaky breath into Woongki’s mouth, making him laugh.

What?” Han managed to say between breaths.

He felt Woongki shake his head, then grip his hair tighter as he leaned in again, tilting his head.

Woongki’s lips moved to kiss Han’s upper lip. Slow. Deliberate. His fingers tousled through Han’s hair. Han wondered if Woongki could hear his heartbeat.

Han kissed Woongki’s bottom lip, movements careful. For the first time, he could taste Woongki’s lip balm. Strawberries.

Don’t bite. Don’t bite. Don’t do something weird. You’re not eating his lip. This is a kiss.

Soon enough, Han had eased into it, feeling more comfortable than the first time. Their hands trailed along and grasped at each other, Han actually almost stumbling from the sudden force.

I’m kissing Woongki-hyung.

I’m really kissing Woongki-hyung.

Another stumble — this time from Woongki. Han tightened his grip on his waist; however, he wasn’t helping him up. In fact, they were slowly moving back towards the couch, guiding each other through the darkness of their closed-shut eyelids.

Oh my god, Han thought as Woongki fell against the seats, back against the arm rest, Han slowly climbing on top to continue kissing him.

What the fuck is happening, right now?

Even through his disbelief, he kept at it, his skin starting to feel sticky from the heat. His legs positioned to fit comfortably between Woongki’s as he leaned further down, hands traveling everywhere, exchanging hot breaths between soft lips.

Ack —

Han immediately pulled away, holding himself up with his arms as he looked down at Woongki.

Never had Woongki looked so… disheveled. Not even after waking up in the morning. His hair was messy, his face was red, and his eyes were dark. His lips parted to let out deep breaths.

Han blinked himself out of his thoughts. Noticing Woongki’s shirt had ridden up, he cleared his throat as he pulled it back down. “What’s… wrong, hyung?”

Woongki took a few more breaths. Then, he laughed. “Nothing, the arm rest’s just… digging into my shoulders…”

Han stilled for a moment. Then, he pushed himself off, pulling a confused Woongki up along with him. His hands found Woongki’s shoulders, and he slowly began massaging him.

Woongki looked back at Han, a small laugh escaping. “You don’t have to — “

“Sorry for lying,” Han said, cutting him off. “I… haven’t actually kissed anyone, before.”

Woongki hummed. “I know. You kiss like a virgin.”

Han only scoffed, his hands continuing to rub and squeeze his shoulders. “Whatever…”

“But, weirdly, you’re a fast learner.”

Han’s massage stopped as he registered his words. Woongki grabbed his hands, interlocking his fingers with Han’s as he moved them off his shoulders.

“Come on,” he said, smiling. “It’s late. Let’s go to bed.”

“Don’t you share rooms with Shuaibo-hyung?”

Immediately, Woongki let out a loud laugh. It made Han smile. “I meant to our own dorms.”

Han turned away, embarassed. “Oh. Yeah, for sure…”

Woongki paused. Then, he wrapped an arm around Han, pulling him down. “Or we could fall asleep, here…”

Han’s heart thumped as they laid down, his head landing on Woongki’s chest.

His heart was beating fast, too.

Han smiled to himself, eyes closing.

Okay.”

Woongki exhaled, closing his eyes. “Good night, Hani.”

Night…

The two finally drifted off to sleep in each others’ arms. It was likely they’d be exhausted for their morning schedule, but Han wouldn’t mind. Waking up next to Woongki was enough.
