The guy stares at him, then laughs. “Wow. You do that often?”
Eddie squints at him, deadpan. “Only when city boys run into barns without a plan.”
The guy grins. “I did have a plan. Run in. Get the cattle out.”
Eddie scoffs.
“You were waving your arms around like a windmill in a hurricane.”
“Well, it worked. Handsome cowboy showed up and saved the day.”
Eddie looks away, lips twitching despite himself.
“Name’s Buck.”
“Eddie.”
