Nova eagerly swung open the Daywalker’s gate that led to the orchard, running out of it eagerly, and into the arms of her waiting boyfriend. She giggled as Victor picked her up and swung her around, happily kissing her cheek. She wrapped her legs around his torso, and her arms around his neck, and planted her lips against his.
“Hey, baby.” Victor mumbled against her mouth.
“Hey, handsome.” She purred happily against his mouth as he lowered her down.
“C’mon, I already set up the blanket.” He grinned, happily tugging her towards the hill, which she followed happily. When they reached the top of the hill, she saw that he’d laid out a beautiful dark red and black blanket (which she knew was from his bed), along with some blood fruit.
Nova smiled lovingly at him, before pulling him to the blanket. Victor smiled softly, and wrapped his arm around her waist, placing a soft kiss on her head.
“How was your day, sunshine?” He inquired gently as she leaned into his side.
“It was good. My dad’s been trusting me with more responsibilities lately, so that’s been awesome. And Ray yapped about Vera a lot today. Said she was trying to break his arm last week. I got lunch with a few friends today as well. And now I’m here with you.” Nova explained, smiling as she finished her summary of her day.
“Oh, well, that’s just lovely. I personally, was absolutely murdered by Vera earlier, since we went to the new trampoline place in town. Though, I definitely did get her back at lunch.” Victor informed, gently squeezing her waist as she giggled.
“Well it sounds like we both had eventful days, huh?” Nova teased, gently leaning up to peck his lips. He smiled happily, and followed her lips when she tried to pull away, earning another giggle from her.
“I guess we did.” Victor replied softly, watching as she turned her head to the sky as the meteor shower started. He’d seen these things millions of times in Shadyside, but she’d never seen them in their full glory from Sunnyside’s constant sun.
“Woah…” Nova breathed softly, watching as the meteors darted against the night sky, illuminated by the moon and the stars.
“Make a wish.” Victor whispered teasingly in her ear, to which she playfully slapped his arm, keeping her gaze fixed on the sky. It was a beautiful night outside, and the meteor shower made it even prettier.
“What did you wish for?” She found herself mumbling, turning her head to look at Victor.
“Huh?” he questioned, raising an eyebrow.
“What did you wish for? You told me to wish. So you must’ve made a wish as well. What was it?” Nova pressed.
Victor smiled softly, gently kissing her cheek. “I wished for you to always be safe. I already have everything I need right here.” he whispered, causing her heart to melt.
“You sap…” she mumbled, gently tugging him down into a soft kiss by the collar of his hoodie. He smiled against her mouth, gently kissing her back for a few seconds before pulling away.
“C’mon… Watch the sky… You can kiss me anytime, meteor showers only happen once a blue moon…” Victor instructed gently, grinning at her whine of protests. But, she looked back to the sky, watching the meteor shower.
They sat like that until the meteor shower ended, with Nova occasionally tugging Victor into kisses, and him pointing constellations out to her.
When the meteor shower ended, he reached over and grabbed the bowl of blood fruit, opening it and cutting up one for her. She thanked him gently, taking the fruit and starting to eat it. She grinned as he grabbed one of the other blood fruits, and sank his fangs into it, his eyes turning a blood red.
That would never not be hot.
Nova stared as he licked some of the juice from his lips, finishing the bite that was currently in his mouth. His eyes flicked to hers as he sank his fangs in for another bite, and she had to repress a whine.
Victor snickered against the fruit at her reaction, pulling his fangs out of the fruit and grinning at her, his lips and fangs covered in red juice.
“You okay, Princess?” he teased, swiping his tongue over his fangs.
“Yeah…” Nova whispered, her eyes flicking between his fangs and his glowing eyes. Victor grinned, and gently pecked her lips. When he tried to pull away, she pulled him back in by the collar of his hoodie, humming softly.
He grinned against her lips, laughing softly. He quickly lost himself in the kiss when she licked at his fangs, which were very sensitive.
Victor hummed softly against her lips, gently pulling her into his lap as he kissed her back. His mouth tasted like blood fruit, and his fangs gently prodded at her lips. She cupped his jaw in her hands as she slid her tongue into his warm mouth.
Nova moaned as his hands landed on her waist, gently squeezing her. She moaned as his fangs gently prodded at her lips, and she was sure she could taste blood. His tongue moved against hers as she deepened the kiss further.
Victor’s mouth trailed from her lips to her jaw to her neck. She gripped his shoulders as he gently suckled on the skin there, and ran his fangs over her throat. Her eyes dilated, and her breath left her body when he gently bit down, his fangs sliding barely into the smooth skin of her neck.
Nova moaned softly into the night sky as his fangs slid out of her neck, and Victor gently licked the blood from her neck. She yanked him back up into a heated kiss by his hair, causing him to groan into her warm mouth. She practically whined when she felt him put his fangs away, but kept her lips firm against his.
His hands slowly slid to her hip, giving her an opportunity to stop him. She instead pressed further against him, moaning as he gripped her hips.
“Fuck, baby…” Victor whispered against her mouth, panting softly against her mouth between kisses. Nova giggled against his mouth, before capturing his lips in another firm kiss.
Victor tightened his grip on her hips, pulling her impossibly closer as they devoured each other’s mouths. Nova gripped his hair tighter, definitely becoming affected by the breathy noise that slipped past his lips.
“Fuck… You’re so hot…” she mumbled against his mouth, gently moving to his neck and biting his throat. She smirked in triumph when Victor let out a needy whimper at the action, holding her hips tighter.
A branch snapped in the distance, near the outcropping of trees behind them. Victor’s head snapped up so fast, his fangs unsheathing and his eyes glowing a blood red again as his eyes locked onto the outcropping of trees. He tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her closer as a threatening hiss escaped his lips.
Nova’s head darted back towards the outcropping as well, holding onto him tightly in fear. It was a squirrel. She sighed in relief, gently cupping his jaw as he continued to glare and hiss at the outcropping.
“It’s just a squirrel, babe. Relax.” She tried to soothe gently, redirecting Victor’s face up to meet hers. His eyes were still glowing red, and his fangs were out. His eyes darted between her and the trees, as he hugged her closer.
“Could’ve been something else…” He grumbled, burying his face into her shoulder. She giggled at his protectiveness.
“Babe, I’m right here. Relax. I know you would never let anything happen to me. And I do have fire powers as well.” Nova teased, gently lifting her hand and summoning a small fireball. He stared at it softly, the orange glow illuminating his features and pale complexion.
Victor reluctantly put his fangs away, his eyes returning to their normal chocolate brown. She dropped the fireball, gently guiding his face back up to hers. He kissed her gently, like she was something precious. Something sacred he’d do anything to protect.
“There we go…” Nova mumbled against his mouth with a soft grin, gently tracing his jaw.
“Shut up…” Victor mumbled, kissing her more firmly so all the retorts died in her throat. She kissed him back firmly, wrapping her other arm around his neck. The hand on his jaw slid up to his hair, gently gripping his hair to hear another one of his soft, breathy noises.
After a few more shared kisses, she gently pulled away, resting her head on his shoulders.
“Tell me more about the stars?” Nova asked softly. And with that, the night dissolved into gentle kisses, Victor telling her about the constellations, and Nova realizing she may have Victor more wrapped around her finger than she thought.
