Blooming of the End

Summary:

A story taking place in a whole different place (Turkiye, bcz I am Turkish:3) with completely different characters (aka my ocs) displaying the lives of ability users in different settings. I really don't know how I can summarize this more as it's not complete yet.

Notes:

tw: mentions of torture and severe(ish) injuries. (also this chapter sounds edgy asf so it will get better i hope)

So, quick warning, there won't be any canon×oc OR canon×canon interactions for a long long while. There might be mentions maybe but I am not exactly sure. But regardless what I am trying to say is that this is a story that is focused on original characters within the BSD universe and the current timeline for the most part, if you're looking for an oc×canon story or something along those lines this is not the fic is unfortunately not for you and you'll probably be disappointed. ALSOOO THIS IS MY FIRST FIC SO IM REALLY EXCITED CHAT THIS PROBABLY SUCKS ASS THO😣

Chapter 1: Coincidence

Chapter Text

Life is a weird, it seems to reward some with everything meanwhile punishing some when they have done nothing to deserve it. It's biased almost, some say it's because of a God who's testing them with the bad some say it's just luck. Regardless of this though, they all continue living these lives, stuck in them whether they want to or not.

“just kill me, please just kill me, I can't take this anymore, please.”

The man cried out, his voice which used to be defiant and firm now crumbled to a state of begging after days. The chain that was wrapped around his right wrist would dangle when he moved even the slightest. Not to mention the bruises and injuries around his body combined with the complete lack of any social interaction aside from the woman, it was slowly destroying him in every way with every minute that passed in this hell.

The woman just sighed, walking up to the bench he was sitting on and sitting on the other side of the bench. Her expression was unreadable, but right now there was a hint of exasperation on her features, probably the first time she has shown a hint of what she was feeling to the man in days. She leaned back, running her hand through her hair that had gotten a bit messy by now. Her job for today was done anyway.

“Look, I would gladly give you that sweet release of death you're craving if it was up to me, I really doubt whatever information you could give me is even worth all this effort, honestly. But that's the thing. It's not up to me unfortunately for you. I am just fulfilling orders that I have to fulfill, and those orders are telling me to get that information out of you regardless of the cost. So you should just give it up already.”

She paused for a moment thinking on what to say, her tone sounded a bit more sincere suddenly, though there was also this sickening fakeness in it.

“Just look at you, whatever loyalty you have is not worth this pathetic position you're currently in.”

She said her tone going back to its monotone, almost bored way once again. She had been trying to get this man to cough up whatever he knew for 3 days by now, and it was getting boring. She got up from the bench, stretching a bit. Her accent was a bit broken, the language clearly not being her first language.

“Anyway, my job here is done for today, I'd recommend you to consider my words a bit until later, but it's up to you of course, I've got time.”

She said as she turned away and proceeded to leave the cell and then the dimly lit basement, the sound of her heels slowly growing fainter.

“Did you get anything useful out of him yet, Diane?”

The man who was sitting by the entrance of the basement asked her as she approached, he seemed to be waiting for her, his tone was calm yet calculated.

“Nope, he's either too loyal or he just doesn't even know anything of use, he was just begging me to end his life, it's a pathetic sight, really.”

Diane answered with a shrug, her casual tone a contrast to the man's calculated tone.

The man sighed, her lack of care really seemed to get on his nerves but she got the job done at the end of the day so he was letting it slide.

“You know, Diane, you're doing a professional job here, you really need to look the part, if you get what I mean.”

He said, letting a hint of exasperation leak into his tone this time, he was obviously hinting at her partially dyed hair and her clothing that looked like it was thrown together just for the sake of somewhat fitting into the formal clothing standards.

Diane glanced at him for a moment before rolling her eyes.

“Hey, Adem, how many times do you think we've had this dialog so far? You can't expect me to dress as if I care when I'm just here because I quite literally am forced to be here.”

She said her tone still as casual as ever. The man seemed to be her superior but it definitely didn't look like she cared about that fact.

“Anyway, I'm done with my work for today so I'm gonna get going, I guess I'll see you next week, unfortunately.”

She said not giving the man a chance to reply before leaving the basements, the guards at the exit took a glance at her as she left but did not say a word.

“Gosh, this woman.”

Adem just muttered to himself, despite already being used to her attitude, her dismissal of authority definitely was infuriating.

She was now walking through the streets of İzmir, she wasn't sure if she would take a walk or not honestly, the weather was too hot to be walking in her opinion. She decided that she'd go straight to her place it wasn't that far away anyway, especially if she took the more creepier route which wasn't that big of a deal. A while passed as she was just walking through the rather sketchy alleyways before something caught her eye, making her stop in her tracks. A girl lying on the ground, injured. She'd assume the girl was around her early twenties, especially with the way she was dressed. Her left leg seemed nearly completely destroyed, - to the point where she wasn't sure if that leg could be saved- she could even see the bone from the deep cuts in one place.

“Fuck this girl is definitely more trouble than she's worth.”

Diane thought to herself looking around to see no one was around, she was honestly planning to flee before the girl -or anyone else for that matter- could notice her presence there, if someone was injured badly to this point, there definitely would be a reason.

She was just about to leave as she realized the girl now staring at her, they stared at each other for a quick moment. The girl looked like she was unable to speak, due to the pain probably, but the look on her face was definitely pleading. It made her feel like a complete asshole, to be fair, she was an asshole for crying out loud she'd be a hypocrite if she helped a girl that probably had been tortured after just doing the same thing to someone else but she felt like she had to do something, was it instincts or something? She ended up walking over to the girl and kneeling down besides her to check what she could do, she'd probably do a simple tourniquet and call an ambulance so she could avoid the responsibility while also not feeling shitty herself. That seemed like her best option for sure.

“Damn, that looks bad what did you get yourself in to to get injured in such a horrible way.”

Diane mumbled, kinda trying to get the girl's attention to her, if she fell unconscious right now it would be an unnecessary risk for sure. Although there was no response from the girl, was she in that bad of a state, gosh…

“Gosh, my medical skills have gotten rusty over time, it'll have to do for now tho.”

She mumbled once again as she made a basic tourniquet as quickly as possible before reaching out for her phone to call an ambulance.

“What are you doing?”

The girl asked speaking for the first time, her voice was shaking and her eyes were teary, the pain seemed to be getting to her quite a lot.

“I'm calling an ambulance so they can help you?”

Diane answered looking confused as to how someone wouldn't be able to figure that out.

“An ambulance? No please don't, I really can't go to a hospital right now please.”

The girl begged, which honestly confused her, why wouldn't someone want proper medical attention after all.

“Then what are you gonna do? There's no way you'd be able to save that leg or maybe even yourself if you don't get help, you know that right?”

Diane exclaimed, seeming confused, hell even if the girl was giving up on the leg the bleeding could still kill her and she doubted the girl would be relying on a random stranger's medical knowledge, it just didn't make any sense.

“I know that, I just can't go to a hospital, no matter what.”

The girl replied with a pained tone, she definitely didn't seem like she could even stay conscious for long yet she still refused the obvious hospital option.

“Ughhh, I knew it, I shouldn't have helped you to begin with. But I suppose it's too late for that regret… I just hope you're not too heavy or something.”

Diane mumbled, more to herself rather than her, she doubted the girl would be even processing her words in the state she was anyway. This girl was definitely trouble, there was no doubting that, and now she had gotten herself involved in that said trouble too, without even knowing what it was about. Though she supposed there was no backing out at this point, she was feeling up to the favor surprisingly.
