It was the first day of Boys Planet 2, many contestants walked into the dorm building nervously because they didn’t know anyone, except for Sangwon and his good friend Leo.
Sangwon and Leo have been friends for years, they’re each other's ride or die. They willingly applied to Boys planet 2 in hopes of possibly debuting together!
Unlike everyone else, these two were skipping happily inside the building, holding each others hand and everything. Luckily when assigned dorms, they were paired together with two other contestants.
They walked into their room, feeling really good. The room was small but already felt like home, you walk in and theres the bathroom and as you walk further you see the two bunk beds on each side of the room. Leo quickly claimed the bottom bunk by diving head first, bumped his head a bit but hes too happy to care.
Sangwon looked at Leo with a slightly annoyed expression.
“Bro, you know I don’t like sleeping that high…..”, he said with a slightly sarcastic tone.
“You snooze you loose, gotta go on the top. Unless you’re more of a-“ he started giggling before he finished his sentence.
Sangwon threw a pillow at him, “Bro, you’re too much.”
“No worries, I’ll sleep on the other bed on the bottom.”
“Alright, sounds great to me. Also, I heard idols were also on this show. Lets go find them, come on”
Leo hopped out of the bed and ran towards the door, holding Sangwob’s wrist.
Moments later, someone walks nervously into Sangwon & Leo’s dorm. He had his head down, avoiding any possible eye contact, and he seemed very shy.
Chue Liyu was his name, he didn’t know anyone he was dormed with. By the looks of it, no one was in the dorm when he arrived so he felt more comfortable, secretly hoping the other 3 people he was gonna dorm with dipped out of the show entirely.
He placed his stuff on the first bed he saw, the bottom bunk, he unloaded most of his comics and a few necessities he brought. He was pretty exhausted from all of that socializing earlier and decided to lay down and read one of his comics while listening to music.
Later on, Sangwon and Leo came back.
“Bro, thats crazy I didnt know members from DKB were here-“
Sangwon stopped mid sentence when he noticed Liyu on his self assigned bed.
Liyu looked up from his comic and was startled to see Sangwon standing over his bed.
“I’m so sorry, did you want this bed? Sorry I’ll move all of my stuff right now!”, quickly picking up all his stuff.
Sangwon put his hand over Liyu’s, stopping him from packing. Liyu slowed down and looked up at Sangwon who had an understanding look on his face.
“Hey, it’s okay. I was gonna move to the top of this one anyways. Keep the bed.”, he said with a small smirk.
Leo gave Sangwon a look that didn’t quite make sense to Liyu but only they understood. Their last roomie, Andrew, walked in and greeted everyone and took the top bunk above Leo.
It was snack time in the dorm building, it was a first come first serve situation. The sound of over one hundred trainees running to the snack room had woken Liyu up from his nap.
He quickly sprinted to the room only to find the room empty. He disappointedly walked back to the door room, hungry and feeling alone.
The three were in the dorm, laughing, cracking jokes and overall getting to know each other but the vibe changed when they saw a sad Liyu walked in.
“Hey bro, what's wrong?” Leo asked.
“I wasn’t able to get any snacks, I haven’t eaten all day. But, it’s okay I will just sleep the hunger off.”
“Here.” Sangwon splits a part of his sandwich and gives it one half to Liyu with a small smile.
Liyu looked at him with a grateful expression.
“Thank you, I really appreciate it!” said with a full smile.
Sangwon’s heart softened, that smile made him feel a something that he couldn’t quite explain but he only felt it with Liyu.
“I told you guys to wake him up!” Sangwon turned around and scolded Andrew and Leo.
“I thought you were talking to him!” They pointed at each other.
Sangwon sighed.
Liyu chuckled, “It’s okay guys, I should’ve known the times. But I appreciate the concern.”
The next day, it was time to practice for the signal song. They all woke up to the sound of a loud buzzer. Andrew hit his head from getting up so fast, Leo FLEW out the bed and Sangwon wasn’t fazzed one bit.
“Are you used to this sound in the morning?”, andrew asked concerningly
“I guess you could say that.”
The three got out of bed, getting ready for the day ahead.
“Bro, HOW IS LIYU STILL SLEEPING??”, Leo asked while blow drying his hair.
“WAKE UP!!!!!!”, andrew shouted while shaking him.
Nothing came out of it, Liyu was still sleeping peacefully. Unlike the other two, Sangwon quietly admired Liyu, how could one look so attractive while being asleep? The way his face was so relaxed along with his nicely kept hair.
Sangwon never really realized how long Liyus eyelashes were or how nice and soft his lips looked. But, sangwon quickly refrained from that thought, this is his roomate, it is weird to think about him like this.
He gently pushed the other two away from Liyu and woke him up himself. He lowered himself to the height of the bed, right intront of Liyu’s face. He was a little too close to his face, noticing every single detail on his face. If Liyu ever committed a crime, Sangwon could describe him perfectly to a T.
Before Sangwon could say anything, Liyu slowly opened his eyes to the sight of Sangwon. Holding intense eye contact, their faces weren’t far from each other, one wrong move and it’s over.
“Finally you’re up, come on. We have to be out of here in 30 minutes!!”, Leo explained.
Liyu quickly jumped out of bed, quickly ran to the bathroom almost tripping over a slipper, which made Sangwon chuckled.
Later that night, while Andrew and Leo left the dorm a bit to have some extra practice. It was only Sangwon and Liyu, alone in the room together doing their own separate things. Liyu was reading a comic while Sangwon was working on his dance after a little slip up infront of everyone earlier..iykyk
Sangwon was practicing right in front of Liyu, getting secret looks of him when he could. But little did he know, Liyu was doing the same exact thing. Though Liyu only saw his back side, he was not complaining. The way Sangwon danced was admirable, even the way he would get upset with himself when he slightly messed up.
“Are you not gonna practice?” Sangwon turned around and asked Liyu.
Liyu was taken aback by the sudden question, sitting up quickly thinking he got caught.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound harsh, I was just wondering. You’re always reading, when do you practice?”, Sangwon continued.
“I usually practice when everyone leaves….”
Sangwon had a confused expression, what does he mean? Is he insecure about his dancing? Sangwon didn’t really care if Liyu practiced, he was just worried that Liyu didn’t have enough practice which was odd because usually he wouldn’t care. Less competition is always better but something about Liyu made him wanna look out for him.
“Well, you could always practice infront of me. I mean, infront of everyone…” Sangwon assured.
Infront of Sangwon?? What did he mean by that?
Liyu nodded and went back to reading his book. Hoping the conversation wasnt as awkward as he anticipated.
“What is so interesting about that comic you’re reading? You look very into it. Which is cute, I mean cool!!”, Sangwon stumbled.
Liyu looked up at him, “Hmm, I don’t think its your style.”
Sangwon protested, “Oh come on, you can tell me.”
Liyu shook his head and laid back down and went back to reading. Sangwon quickly snatched the comic out of his hands and started flipping through the pages.
“Hey, give it back!” Liyu tried to get it out of Sangwon's hands but Sangwon put his arm out to stop him.
“Don't You See, Love is For Souls, Not Bodies?”, Sangwon read out in a mocking tone.
As Sangwon kept going, Liyu decided to tackle Sangwon which led to Liyu hovering over Sangwon on his bed. Did Sangwon always look this good from this angle?
Both of them quickly scooted away once they realized the position they were in.
Sangwon shyly gave Liyu back his comic looking away so he wouldn’t see the sudden redness on his cheeks.
“I’m sorry..about that”, Liyu said nervously.
“Its okay, if it helps I didn’t really mind it…”
Liyu confusingly asked, “what do you mean by that?”
Sangwon walked over and sat beside him on the bed, side by side, shoulder to shoulder, hands slightly touching.
“I mean, I didn’t mind being that close to you. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if we did that again..”, Sangwon said as he looked over at him, making eye contact.
“That’s very forward of you…I hope you’re not uncomfortable, in that position we almost kissed.“ Liyu responded.
“And is that such a bad thing?”
Sangwon placed his hand on Liyu’s cheek, holding deep eye contact.
“Unless, you don’t want to?”
Liyu gazed into Sangwons soft eyes..not knowing what to say.
Sangwon rubbed the back of his head, “sorry I made things awkward, I’ m gonna go back to practicing n-“
Liyu grabbed Sangwon’s hands and leaned in slowly and pressed his lips onto his. Sangwon placed one hand on the back of Liyus neck and another on his lap.
Liyu slowly backed away, “was that good enough for you? sorry, im only asking because I have never kissed anyone before…”
“It was everything I’ve ever dreamed of.”, sangwon replied as he caressed Liyu’s face going back for another round.
