"Inmate 414, someone is visiting you."
The police officer said, unlocking the prison door.
Normally, Maria wouldn't care about visits, because her parents would visit weekly. Even though it'll be better if they debated with the goverment to let her out.
But it's pretty odd-- her last visit from her parents was three days ago.
Despite being suspicious, Maria follows the officer to the visiting room.
Arriving at one of the stalls, Maria sits on the stool, one hand holding up the telephone to communicate with the other side. Her other hand covering her face. Just as she was about to say hello, the other side starts speaking.
A: "Helloooo?"
Maria's eyes widen and puts the hand that was covering her face down, looking up only to see Amy.
Amy, the girl who framed her for murder even though she's at fault. She has a robotic left arm that's covered with her hoodie sleeve.
Other than that, Amy is widely smirking at Maria. Which Maria finds creepy. Her head propped against her hands
M: "Guh- Why are YOU here? I thought you hated me!"
A: "Thought you felt lonely!"
M: "I have parents you know!"
A: "Oh well, how's your life in prison going?"
M: "It's... difficult."
A: "Difficult? How so?"
M: "Well I keep distancing myself from the other prisoners, I'm scared to get hurt."
A: "Hey. This was your fault. You have to pay the price."
M: "You killed my friends! Is the bullying that horrible?"
A: "You guys literally said I looked skinny, and decided to ruin my reputation on the first day."
M: "W-Well that was the past!!"
After Maria terribly replied to Amy, it was dead silent between them, before Amy finally breaks the silence.
A: "You're lucky we have a barrier between us."
M: "Huh?"
A: "Forget it."
Before Maria could ask what did she meant by that, the officer comes in, telling the two girls their time was up.
After Maria returns to her cell, she sits at the corner, asking herself this very question:
What was Amy supposed to mean for the barrier? Most likely that she's willing to do the same to Maria-- kill her off. But she could possibly mean something else... Only time will figure it out, if she decides to return or not.
