Notes:

HIIII! I've rlly wanted to write a togachako fic for a long time lol. I hope it's good! Idk when I'll be able to update this as I'm writing another fic but I'll try my best. In this fic there is a lot about struggling with mental health. Just remember that you are loved and people do care about you. Please don't read this if any of the tags are sensitive topics for you. :)

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

The blinding lights and the buzz of their LEDs awoke her. The hospital. Her arm was hooked up to a drip and different coloured wires connected her to a multitude of machines. "Where's Himiko?" she murmured, rubbing her eyes with the back of her bandaged hand. Ochako suddenly became aware of the dull pain on her lower stomach. "What..." she mumbled, turning to the nurse beside her. "Please calm down Miss Uraraka, I understand this can be a bit strange but please don't touch your wounds they still haven't healed yet" The nurse said, an overly cheerful smile plastered over her face, making her look almost uncanny. "Where is Himiko?" Uraraka shouted, sitting upright in her bed. "Uhh, you mean the villain Toga? I heard she died a while ago but I'm not too sure..." The nurse replied as if on autopilot, focusing on one of the machines attached to Uraraka. Those words were like a knife to her chest. Dead? No, that can't be right, Himiko couldn't have died. Those words echoed around her head like a curse, a sinking feeling engulfing her body. Everything seemed to fade around her as she replayed the last moments she could remember. Her and Himiko, falling together holding eachother like their lives depended on it. Crying with eachother. Himiko asking "Ochako, am I cute?". Uraraka never lied. Himiko was cute. She loved her with ever fibre of her being, so Himko couldn't have died. It was impossible.
"I'm so glad you're alright" Midoriya chirped as he sat down on a chair opposite her. "We were all worried about you" He murmured, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. "Is it true..." Ochako whispered, her voice still hoarse from being in a coma for so long. "Is what true?" He asked. "Is Himiko really dead?" Uraraka mumbled, her eyes meeting Midoriya's. " Um...yeah... she kinda gave you all her blood so you could live or something like that..." He mumbled, looking extremely apologetic. Ochako broke down. Strangled sobs escaped her throat as she held her face in her hands. Tears streamed down her face. Himiko was dead. And it was her fault. "Hey hey hey" he said, running over to sit next to Uraraka on the bed. "It's okay don't cry it's not your fault, I'm sure you did your best!" he whispered, running his hands through her hair. "It is my fault!" Ochako sobbed. "She died for me, I was the one who should've died!".
