Blindfold and Blushes || Satoru Gojo x Reader

Summary:

New school. New rules. Except one guy refuses to follow them.
He's loud, annoying, opposite of everything I've ever liked- and oh he's impossible to ignore.
I'm not supposed to like him.
I don't like him. Not even a little.
And yet, somehow, I can't stop noticing him.
Some rules aren't meant to be followed- specially if breaking them feels so good.

Chapter Text

Chapter 1
"I've never thought eyes were as pretty until I saw yours, when your eyelashes flutter softly like a gentle breeze on a still afternoon-

I always thought the idea of time stopping was just a poetic lie -
until the moment I looked at you, and the hour didn't seem to pass by."

I clicked the pen shut and cringed reading it again. Maybe it sounded better in my head or I'm just bored. I folded the paper and scrunched it in my pocket and slinged my bag over my shoulder. I stood in front of the door before opening it - my fingers trembled slightly. The faint murmur of students chatting drifted out from inside. I took a deep breath, shoved the nerves down, and pushed it open.

Yaga-sensei smiles as he sees me in the doorway, before I could say anything he greets me,his voice steady and welcoming, "Good morning. You must be the new transfer, correct?" I nod softly coming in,"Yes sensei"

"Alright, come on. The class is just about to start. Everyone, we have a new student joining us today."

A hush fell over the room as all eyes turned toward me. I forced a small, shaky smile and scanned the faces quickly. My gaze landed on a boy with white hair, a smirk curling his lips as he whispered something to his friend. Was he laughing at me? I shook the thought away. It didn't matter.

"Goodmorning everyone." I say politely, and look back at Yaga sensei,"Sensei, where do I sit?"

Yaga-sensei looks around the room, considering the available seats. He points to a desk that is vacant, conveniently beside the silver haired boy.

"You can take that desk right there, beside Gojo." He points to the silver haired boy that was just laughing. I swallowed and nodded, making my way over.

"Okay.." I said, making my way over to him. He watches as I make my way to the desk beside him, and he raises his head to glance at me. He lifted his head and cocked an eyebrow, his blue eyes sizing me up, leaning back in his chair, a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Hey there." He kept looking, as if trying to figure me out.

He observes me for a moment longer, his gaze flickering over my features before he speaks again,"You're the new transfer student, huh?"

"Yeah I am." I said in a matter-of-factly tone. His smirk widens as he notices the firmness in my tone. He leans forward propping his chin on his hand, eyes not leaving mine."What's your name?"

Great. Just what I needed, I thought. A guy who thinks he's already got me figured out?

"Y/n."

Gojo repeats my name, a small hum of acknowledgment escaping his lips. He studies me for a beat longer before responding.

"Y/n, huh? Nice name."

He leans back in his chair again, his gaze still fixed on me. "Thanks" I simply mumble, hoping he would stop speaking now.

He lets out a chuckle and cocks an eyebrow,"You're a pretty stoic one, aren't you?" The amusement in his voice was clear, like he was daring me to react.

Stoic? Fantastic. Just what I wanted to be labeled on day one.

"Not really. I just don't talk to strangers a lot." I say, pulling out my notebook, trying to focus on what Yaga-sensei is teaching.

He snorted quietly, like he found that funny,"Fair enough."

He props his chin in his hand once again,"But we're no longer strangers, are we? You're sitting right besides me. I'm sure we will see each other often."

Yeah, as if that's possible, I thought, feeling a quiet knot tighten in my stomach.I tried to keep my gaze on the board, but his voice echoed louder in my head than the professor's. Why does he have to be so loud?

"Uh, okay.." I say, scribbling quickly into my notes whatever sensei yaga was writing in a bad handwriting. Gojo's smirk shifted into a small, satisfied grin at my silence.

"You know, you don't have to be so uptight. I promise I won't bite." He says jokingly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Yaga's voice cracked sharply, "Gojo!"

The sudden snap of chalk hitting the board made both of us jump slightly. He said as if it's a warning,"Focus on your work now."

He pouts mumbling a small 'fine' scribbling away at his copy laid back, almost like he didn't even care. The rest of the class went by peacefully although, his unknown glances did not go unnoticed by me. Then I felt something slipping out of my pocket. My heart skipped. The folded paper fluttered to the floor, landing right at Gojo's feet.

Before I could even reach for it, his hand was already there, picking it up.

Fuck.
