Equestria Gets Loud

A Fanfiction crossover by Yaakov Lubin

Chapter 1:

Lincoln didn’t know what happened. The last thing he could remember was that he was in the living room of his family’s home…and BOOM! Everything went black.

“Aughh…” Goan Lincoln as he starts to walk up. He slowly opens his eyes to see that everything is blurry.

“Oh, my goodness! Are you okay?” Said a voice.

Lincoln sits up as he sees someone…or something coming up to him. “I think so…” He grabs his head. “What happened?”

“You poor thing!” Said the voice, a voice the boy had never heard before.

“Twilight…is that a …human?” Said another voice. This one Lincoln can tell is from a boy. A boy probably close to his age.

“It is Spike; he came straight out of your comic book. But that’s not important right now.” Explained the first voice.

“Huh?” Lincoln asked, taken aback by what the first voice said. A few seconds later, his vision starts to clear up and the first things he can see in front of him are…“A purple unicorn and baby dragon? Wait…what?!”

With great panic, Lincoln gets up from the floor and looks around, seeing that he’s in some kind of library. “Where am I?”

The purple unicorn…alicorn, as she has a horn and a pair of wings. “I’m Twilight Sparkle. And this is Spike, my assistant. What’s your name?” She asked.

“Okay…this could either be a dream or it’s some kind of prank my sisters are pulling.” Lincoln says before giving himself a pinch on the arm. “Ouch! Nope, not a dream.” He turns to Twilight. “Maybe…” Lincoln starts to fill around her coat. “Hmmm...this could be Lola in a pony costume.”

Twilight starts to feel a bit uncomfortable. “Umm…I’m not sure…who this Lola is…but can you please stop touching my coat?”

Lincoln pulls his hand away. “No zipper…Maybe Lisa…nah…even though she’s a genius…she still has a long way to go…I know…wait…”But before the boy could go any further…“Nghhh!” He started to feel a stinging sensation in his right leg. It hurts so much that he fell to the ground. “Owww!”

“Oh no! Spike, keep an eye on him.” Twilight orders before she runs out the door. “I will go get Fluttershy!”

Spike gives her a salute.“You got it, Twilight!”

As fast as she could, Twilight flew out of the castle and into the air.

Lincoln tries to get up again. “Ngrgh...”

“Oh, no, you don’t.” Spike says as he puts a paw on the boy’s shoulder. “You have to stay put. Otherwise, your leg will get worse.”

Pretty soon, Twilight came back, guiding her friend into the library. “He’s right in here, Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy comes in with a medical bag around her neck. And when she spotted Lincoln… “Oh my goodness!” She flew up and landed next to him with a big smile on her face. “Hello, you little thing.”

“A Pegasus?” Lincoln asked.

Fluttershy drops her bag onto the floor. “That’s right.” She then pulls Lincoln's right pants leg up a bit. “Now let's see this leg of...Huh!?”

To the shock of everyone in the room, Lincoln’s leg is extremely burned and has burn marks from top to bottom.

“That looks bad.” Spike said.

Twilight uses the magic in her horn to levitate a burnt comic book with a hole in it. “His leg must’ve gotten burned when he went through the portal.”

“I believe I have just the thing for that.” Flutteryshy says as she goes into her bag and takes out a vial. “This cream was made by Zecora. It’s supposed to soothe the pain of any burn or bruise and help them to heal faster.” She starts to rub the cream into the boy’s leg. “This should help.”

“Oh...” Lincoln goes, feeling the pain going away. “That’s so much better.”

Fluttershy then takes out a roll of bandages. “Next, we’ll use these to prevent any bleeding.” She starts to wrap. “Now, hold still, sweety.”

“Umm...My name is Lincoln, by the way.” The boy informed the Pegasus.

“Huh? I never heard that name before.” Fluttershy said.

Pretty soon, Lincoln’s whole leg is wrapped up in a cast.

“There...” Fluttershy turns to Twilight. “He should get plenty of rest now.

“Got it.” Twilight replied, turning to her assistant. “Spike, prepare a room at once. I have a feeling our... new friend here will be staying with us for a while.”

“Wait, what?!” Lincoln starts to argue. “I can’t stay here! I have to get home.”

“Oh...sorry. But I’m afraid that might be a bit complicated to tangle right now.” Twilight informs the boy before lighting up her horn again. “Besides...”

Lincoln gets lifted into the air by magic. “Whoa!”

“You need your rest.” Twilight said.

Chapter Text

Chapter 2

After getting Lincoln settled in, even though he didn’t want to, Twilight sent urgent messages to the rest of her friends to come over to the castle to discuss the situation. When they got there, Spike led them to the room that Lincoln is staying in and…

Rainbow Dash is taken aback. “Whoa...”

“So this is a human.” Applejack says, finally understanding the look of the creatures that live in the other dimension, who are friends with Twilight.

“I have to say Twilight...” Rarity says as she trots up to the bed that Lincoln is occupying. “For a creature that doesn't have any fur or scales, and has a short mane of hair...” With a big smile on her face, she then uses her hoof to pinch the boy’s cheek. “He’s quite adorable!”

Lincoln, for his part, is not sure what to say, as his face reddens a bit. “Ummm...”

“Aww!” Fluttershy gushed.

Twilight stands next to the boy. “These are my friends, Lincoln.” She then points to each one of them. “This is Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity…”

Applejack tips her hat. “Howdy, partner.”

Rainbow Dash gives the boy a wave. “Sup, dude.”

Rarity takes a bow. “The pleasures are all mine.”

Twilight continues. “You already know Fluttershy and Spike.”

Spike waves. “Hey!”

Fluttershy comes closer. “Hello.”

“And this is...Hey!” Twilight looks around…“Where’s Pink...”

Just then, out of nowhere, Pinkie Pie pops in front of Lincoln. “Hi!”

This scared Lincoln so much that he fell off the bed. “Ahh!”

“Nice to meet you, I’m Pinkie Pie! And welcome to Ponyville!” Pinkie Pie says as she jumps over the bed and hovers over the boy. “So…what do you like to do? Do you like to party? I looove parties! I also love to make other ponies smile, bake lots of delicious goodies…ooo…we can.” But before she can finish, Pinkie feels herself being levitated in the air. “Huh?”

“Pinkie darling, please!” Rarity says as she's holding her friend in a magic field and moves her to the side. “Give the deary some space.”

Twilight helps Lincoln back to bed. “Sorry about that. Pinkie can get a bit…excited when it comes to meeting somebody new.”

“So, how did he get here, Twilight?” Applejack asked.

“But more importantly, how are we going to send him back?” Rainbow Dash added.

Applejack looks at her with a look of discuss on her face. “Rainbow Dash!”

“What? I didn’t say he can’t be here, did I?” Rainbow Dash asked. “ It’s pretty obvious that this guy has to go back to where he came from eventually. Am I not right here?”

“You're not wrong, Rainbow. But we have to worry about that later.” Twilight explains. “Right now, we have to do everything we can to help Lincoln until his leg is healed.”

“I’m sure that won’t be a problem, darling.” Rarity says.

Applejack asks as she stands next to Twilight. “Did you contact Princess Celestia and Luna about the situation?”

“I did, but they didn’t reply to my letter yet. So, it might be a while until we hear from them.” Twilight says.

All of a sudden, Lincoln’s stomach started to rumble, making a bug gurgling sound.

Applejack giggled. “Tee-hee! Sounds like somebody’s hungry.”

“Look...” Lincoln says as he gets off the bed. “Ow…you have all been very nice. But I can’t ask you to do this for me.” He starts to back away. “So I’m just going…”

But before Lincoln could take another step, he suddenly found himself back on the bed. “Wait, what?”

“Darling, you can’t leave.” Rarity says.

“Not with that busted leg of yours.” Applejack added on.

Fluttershy pulls a blanket over him. “Now you stay in bed.” She then tucks him in. “And let the grown-ups take care of everything.”

“It’s what friends are for.” Twilight says with a warm smile.

Applejack makes her leave with her friends following behind. “Sit tight now, and I’ll bring you some tasty apple treats.”

“You guys won’t mind if I stay behind and keep Lincoln company, would you?” Fluttershy asks.

“Not at all.” Twilights answers.

And so, five ponies and one dragon leave the room, leaving one and the boy by themselves. For a minute or so, there is awkward silence…well, awkward for Lincoln. Until he decided to ask. “So, Fluttershy…are you some kind of doctor?”

Fluttershy giggled. “Tee-hee, you're close, sweetie. Actually, I’m kind of like a veterinarian. But I do keep supplies, if one of my friends or a little colt or filly gets hurt.”

Lincoln says with a little smile. “That’s awfully sweet of you.”

Fluttershy blushes a little. “Well, that’s what I do, care for all living creatures, big or small.”

Just then, Applejack came back, rolling in a snack cart. “You're in for a real treat, sugar cube.”

The cart is loaded with different kinds of apple-based foods, such as apple fritters, caramel apples, apple muffins...

“And apple-pie.” The cowgirl says as she piles some food on a plate and hands it to the boy. “Eat up!”

“I guess I have to eat something.” Lincoln says.

After taking only one bite, Lincoln’s eyes started to sparkle, as if he saw a falling star in the night sky. Before he knew, he was scarfing down the food, like it was his last meal.

“Hahaha! Little feller there has good taste.” Applejack says with a laugh.

Chapter Text

Chapter 3

Pretty soon, night falls upon the town of Ponyville, and every resident is fast asleep…well, not every resident…

Lincoln is wide awake on his bed, tossing and turning. “Augh!” He shouted before taking a deep breath. “Sigh.”

He feels tired, but…he also feels extremely anxious. With so many thoughts and questions coming to his head. How did he get here? Why was he brought to this strange new world? How will he get back home? And the most important thought is about his family. Do they know that he’s missing…do they even care?

No matter how hard the boy tried to remember, the only memory of when Lincoln last saw his family before he found himself in Equestria was of them angrily looking down at him, claiming that he ruined everything and their lives wouldn’t be the same now. He especially remembers his mother walking away, calling him a “Life ruiner”.

This thought, as well as the feeling of Lincoln doing something to his family that is…unforgivable, ate him away throughout the entire night.

While this is going on, Twilight is in the castle library, desperately looking through book after book, trying to understand and fix this situation.

“I don’t understand it, Spike. Whenever we want to visit the human world, we just go through Star Swirl’s mirror and convert into humans... well, a dog in your case.” Twilight says as she turns to her assistant.

That statement does not amuse Spike at all. “Yeah, don’t remind me.”

“Sorry…” Twilight says with a little smile. “But Lincoln came here through your comic book, and he’s still a human.” She looks over some of the books. “And none of these books have any information I can use to help us. Did you visit that enchanted comic book store in Canterlot again?” She asked.

But Spike only shook his head. “To be honest, I don’t even remember where I got that comic in the first place. I just found it in my bookshelf and decided to give it a read. But before I could even open it... You know…”

“Yeah…” Twilight replies.

Spike then walks up to and takes his friend by the hoof. “Here, let’s get some sleep. Things should be brighter in the morning.”

And so, the duo leaves the library. Before long, daylight broke, and Lincoln was more exhausted than ever. Sure, he fell asleep, but all he could dream of was his family completely treating him like an outcast. Like he had never been born…all because of a little mistake he made. As soon as his eyes opened, he just stood still, blankly looking up at the ceiling of his room.

Just then, Twilight comes in. “Yawn! Good morning, Lincoln.”

“Good morning…Twilight.” Lincoln says as he sits up on the bed.

“Time for breakfast. Here...” She levitates some crutches to the boy. “I got you these from the basement.”

“Thanks...”After taking the crutches. Lincoln gets out of bed and follows Twilight to the dining room, where they feast on eggs and toast. “So... what’s going to happen today?” Lincoln asked after cleaning his plate.

“Well, Spike and I are going to do some more research in the library.” Twilight answers with a smile. “And you are going to spend the day with Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres.”

“Wait...” Lincoln is taken aback by this. “I’m actually going outside?”

“Not exactly...you’ll see soon.” Twilight explained.

“But…” Lincoln then realized. “Shouldn't I stay here and help? I could look through books and take notes. I can even make a chart of our discoveries.”

“I'd rather you take it easy for now.” Twilight says with a reassuring smile. And before Lincoln could respond, she pats him on the head. “Don’t worry, I have everything under control.”

“Here it is, Twilight.” Spike says as he walks into the room, carrying some kind of container.

Twilight gets up from her seat and takes the container from the little dragon. “Thank you, Spike.”

Lincoln gets up as well. “What’s that?”

“Oh, just something that will make sure that no pony would freak out…if they see you.” Twilight answers as she opens the container.
