Work Text:
Faye actually hates it here.
She lies in the ruins of something that's supposed to be her past, of something that's supposed to tell her who she is, yet her mind, her memories give her just enough to keep her emotionally engaged, but not enough to actually count as ANSWERS; there are a million questions in her head, hope sparked by something that felt ‘new’ deep down, something that had been awakened and led her here, but … in reality it's nothing tangible, just the idea of closure after watching these scenes of herself.
And now she's lying here, in the open, no roof, no nothing, just some walls, because that's where she seemingly once belonged, drawn lines in the sand of what once was 'home', trying to feel something, ANYTHING, but … it's still nowhere, still nothing, even if her mind (traitor mocking her, false friend with empty hopes giving a mere glimpse of happiness, of a could-be) tries to tell her otherwise; she sighs a frustrated sigh and closes her eyes (maybe it'll come to her if she stays a little longer).
