For the past week, Ojima has been thinking about trying something new, a different way of expressing his art, a different style.
While on one of his outings with Hiroaki, they decided to visit a nearby art museum, which had many paitings of sorts that Ojima really was looking forward to seeing with his own eyes.
While he and Hiroaki were looking at said painings, he started to ramble about how much he loves seeing other peoples creations in their own unique styles.
He always loved seeing paintings of people and sceneries whenever he visited a museum, which made Hiroaki say: “Why don’t you try it out?”
“Huh?”
“Well, you keep on saying you wanna expand your art, right? So why don’t you try to make a painting similar to one of these?”
“I’m not sure Nakamigawa, there’s not a lot of sceneries that are worth painting and i also can’t find someone to model for it.”
Hiroaki stood there in silence for a good while, waiting for Ojima to make a revelation as to who could be his muse.
Hiroaki then said, a bit annoyed: “Oh i don’t know, maybe the PERSON right infront of you is up for the task.”
“Oh, you’re right, do you mind?”
“Not at all, You’re welcome.”
After they arranged a time and date for when the painting is gonna be made, Ojima started to prepare the neccessary tools, he needed a big enough canvas to capture every part of Hiroaki’s aspects, especially his face.
When the day came by, he was getting the last things in order when he heard the doorbell, it must be Hiroaki, he came to the door and opened it, only to see Hiroaki dressed in an outfit he had never seen before.
“Woah, you look amazing.”
“Why thank you, gotta look best for the best painting that’s ever gonna be made after all.”
Ojima smiled softly and welcomed Hiroaki inside his house, showing him the room where the painting is gonna be made.
Hiroaki looks around and says: “This room looks messy, there are buckets of paint everywhere, do you really need that much?”
“I just wanted to make sure i don’t run out.”
“Makes sense, after all, there’s many details in the outfit i’ve put together.”
“Yeah i can tell.”
The outfit contains two main colors, a dark shade of purple and black, he also changed his sunglasses to purple to watch the whole outfit. He also tied his hair on the back, not because it overgrew, but because he likes it that way, he always does it when he works on his own projects and he thinks of this as a project him and Ojima are making.
While Ojima was putting all his brushes in place, Hiroaki decided to take off his sunglasses, there was no real reason behind this, he just thought he could surprise Ojima while he wasn’t paying attention.
When Ojima turned his attention to Hiroaki, he noticed his shinning emerald eyes and got lost in their beauty, which made Hiroaki say: “Hey, are you ready?”
“Oh, umm, yeah, are you?”
“I’m always ready.”
Hiroaki gave it his all, striking a confident pose, like a supermodel would have in one of those magazines his outfits are on.
Ojima started working on the painting, still amazed by Hiroaki’s eyes, he tried his best to capture them as accurately as possible.
After many hours of work without any breaks, Ojima stood up to admire his creation, which made Hiroaki’s face light up from exitement, bombarding Ojima with questions: “Is it done? Can i see? How does if look?”
“Take a look for yourself and tell me what you think.”
Hiroaki rushed to see Ojima’s magnum opus and was amazed by what he saw, a perfect recreation of him, in great detail, just what he expected of a talent like Ojima, but he couldn’t help but notice the added details in his eyes, which made him question: “Huh, why the great details in my eyes? Did you get lost in them?”
Ojima was caught off guard by Hiroaki’s comment, he was absolutely correct by what he said, it’s like he knew how to tease him everytime he pleased.
Ojima couldn’t help but blush a little bit, enough for it to not be noticable at first glance.
“Uh, you don’t always show them to me, so i wanted to honor that by making them as detailed as possible for the painting.”
Hiroaki, in similar fashion, was caught off guard by Ojima’s answer, which caused his face to turn red as a tomato: “They’re not that special!”
“They’re special to me.”
That single sentence made Hiroaki even more red, as red as someone who was inside a sauna for a whole day.
Ojima then continued: “You can have the paining.”
“Huh? But why? You were the one who worked on it, you should keep it.”
“No, i insist, you can all the way here and stood still for hours for it, you deserve it.”
Ojima said all of this out of pure exitement that he can share his new profound artistic prowess, deep down, he wanted to make Hiroaki a nice gift for all the times he had helped him in the past.
Hiroaki then said, knowing he cannot change Ojima’s mind on the matter: “Thank you Takeshi, i really appreciate it.”
After they parted ways, Hiroaki couldn’t stop staring at the paining of him, he studied every inch and corner of it, all of it was perfect.
It made him think that this is how Ojima sees him, it made him think that no matter how bad it gets, this is how he’ll be seen by Ojima.
It made him relived by that fact, which made his night safe and sound.
