Miku was waiting for the pizza to finish in the microwave lying down on the sofa; she couldn’t sleep because she got hungry in the middle of the night. While waiting, she checked her phone with her eyes lidded down, trying to read the comments under her music video. So many comments praising her, there aren’t a lot of hate comments lately so that’s good. She kept scrolling and scrolling as she let the microwave beep louder and louder.
The microwave keeps beeping that Kaito came from his room upstairs and came down to the kitchen to open the microwave, it’s been many nights that he has been hearing that stupid microwave beep for so long. He knew Miku had a short attention span but seriously this had been going on for too long, and he wanted to sleep. Kaito walks over to the living room to look down at Miku who was still doom scrolling on her phone. ‘’Miku.’’ He called her out crossing his arms.
‘’Yeah…?’’ Miku responded lazily.
Kaito narrowed his eyes at his girlfriend. ‘’Can you please pay attention to the microwave when you want to eat in the middle of the night? You may not want to sleep but I do. It’s been a week of hearing that beeping noise, at least you’re not eating any of my ice cream.’’ He said annoyed gesturing to the kitchen.
The teal haired girl stands up from the couch slowly. ‘’Sorry...’’
Kaito didn’t know if he wanted to believe that. ‘’Right. You’re sorry now because you woke me up with the stupid microwave. Can you actually stay in bed with me tonight? Why do you always have to eat? It’s two in the morning.’’ He said getting tired of her weird cravings at night. Sure he loves her but is it a crime to want to lie next to her all night? He can’t be the only one right? He misses sleeping beside her.
Miku went to grab her pizza from the microwave and place it on the table. ‘’I’m always hungry around this time, and I can’t sleep.’’ She explained to avoid ticking him off further.
The blue haired man let out a scoff and gestured to her pizza. ‘’You think eating pizza around this time is going to make you sleepy? It won’t. It’ll just make you crave more and not sleep.’’ He then sighed trying to control his temper, he didn’t want to snap at her either. ‘’I mean it won’t hurt to just try to sleep next to me. We can talk and cuddle until you get sleepy. That’s better than eating some pizza.’’ He said trying to convince her to sleep next to him tonight.
Miku looked at her pizza and then back at him. ‘’Fine… I’ll finish eating and come upstairs.’’ She agreed, is not that she didn’t want to sleep next to him it's just so hard to sleep lately. Maybe she should take one of those sleeping pills if it keeps happening. She finished with her pizza and came back to their bedroom as she went to lie next to Kaito looking up at the ceiling. Was he even asleep? She looked to see that he was indeed sleeping. How can he sleep with so much skill? She wishes she had it in her. She tries to close her eyes but nothing is happening. It’s annoying. Suddenly she felt an arm around her which made her open her eyes to see Kaito was hugging her as he mumbled.
She didn’t know what he was mumbling about. Maybe he was telling her to sleep already when she couldn’t. She hug him back closing her eyes to try to sleep but she couldn’t, it even made her a bit scared that she couldn’t fall asleep. She then heard a clear mumble from Kaito.
‘’Still can’t sleep…?’’ It seems like his dream was over and he woke up.
Miku kept her arms around him. ‘’Yeah… I can’t sleep.’’ She whispers back. ‘’I told you eating that pizza is not going to let you sleep…’’ Kaito then slowly gets on top of her as he looks down on her. ‘’Look at those dark circles…’’ He said this as he touched her lower eyelid with a small smile. ‘’You’re so sleepy, it’s adorable but it makes me sad you can’t sleep. You silly girl.’’ He pokes her in the nose in an attempt to comfort her.
Miku's eyes lidded down at her boyfriend. ‘’Yeah, laugh it up. It’s my fault. I get in those weird, problematic sleep patterns.’’ She knew she was doomed, yet she continued doing it for no reason.
Kaito chuckles a bit. ‘’I didn’t say it was your fault, just weird that you can’t sleep even after having sex with me a while ago.’’ He said nuzzling in her neck with his face. She may ruin his beauty sleep from time to time but he still loves her all of her flaws. ‘’Usually people get sleepy but you’re the opposite of it, you’re probably too excited to sleep after that.’’ He jokes looking at her.
Miku blushes at what he said embarrassed, and covers her face with her hands. ‘’I know, I’m just different, I don’t know… I’m weird.’’ She doesn’t get sleepy, just more awake. Kaito thinks about that and pokes at her cheek smiling at her. ‘’We’ll just change that then we’ll do it during the day and not at night, and see if that changes anything. Who knows? That’s probably your problem besides eating garbage at night.’’
The teal haired girl pouts at his comment. ‘’It’s not garbage. Microwave pizza is a blessing these days.’’ She said knowing full well that eating those in the middle of the night doesn’t do her any good.
He disagrees of course. ‘’It’s making you worst trust me girly. I know you have cravings but you can’t eat those at night like a gremlin. I want you to sleep not to be awake all night.’’ He said putting his arms wrapped around her to cuddle her. ‘’Seriously, I want you to get better.’’ He said quietly with his eyes closed.
Miku hugged him back, closing her eyes. ‘’I know I know… I’ll get better I promise…’’ She said quietly back at him.
‘’You promise?’’ Kaito asked, opening one of his eyes to see if she had promised him.
Miku smiled at him. ‘’I promise I will do my best to take care of myself and actually sleep. Better?’’
‘’That’s all I ever wanted believe me Miku.’’ Kaito enjoys being next to her so hearing this makes him happy, and he leans closer to her face. ‘’Now come here, you owe me kisses after waking me up many times to hear that shitty microwave.’’ He joked.
Miku laughs a bit as the two kissed with their eyes closed, they kissed each other until both of them fell asleep.
