Elemental Cats

Summary:

Boboiboy regretted wishing to meet his Elementals.

Chapter 1

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Boboiboy did say that he wanted to meet his Elementals face to face, and without being one of them (as in, completely separated from himself) but------

He looked at the 'creatures' before him with a troubled look.

"Meowu? (Master?)" A cat with a dark brown coat was seen wearing a tiny brown cap with an earth emblem and based on the way the cat was meowing, it seemed like he was...worried?

(That one was probably Tanah.)

Another cat with a brown coat (although a lighter version of the previous cat and he also had his own cap, a yellow coloured one that had a lightning emblem on it) tilted his head to the earlier cat.

"Mrreow mweone? (Why are we becoming a cat, Tanah?)" The cat---Petir---meowed while still maintaining the flat look he had before as a human on his face.

"Meeeooowww---! (Nnnnnooooooo----!)" A cat with a cream-coloured coat was seen wearing a yellow-coloured visor on his eyes and of course a tiny white cap with a star emblem was on his head. It seemed like the cat was despairing (?) over his bad luck, ending up as a cat.

(The only cat Boboiboy can sympathise with.)

Unlike the three cats above, these three different species of cats with different coloured hats and emblems seemed to enjoy their form as a cat judging by how they happily ran around in their four-footed glory. Even Daun with his short legs (probably a munchkin) could match the other two's pacing.

Boboiboy liked seeing them happy. He, however didn't like that the cost of their happiness was his room's destruction.

(Oh God, his maths homework---oh no, his favourite comic---!)

He took a deep breath. In and out. In and out.

Patience, be patient----wait.

Boboiboy's head shot up in panic. He only saw six out of seven (supposed) cats, where was the last one----oh.

He looked down to see a big (the biggest one) cat with a grey coat wearing a tiny blue coloured cap that had a wave emblem, climbing on his lap and settled himself there comfortably.

(Urgh, heavy.)

Boboiboy sighed, massaging his forehead from the sudden spike on his stress level.

----This was not what he meant. Not this.

(Damn it.)

Chapter 2

Summary:

Boboiboy's suffering continued.

Edit on 24/8/2025 because I didn't realised that I used 'Blaze' and not 'Api'

Chapter Text

The room was still in a state of chaos.

The three cats, already running, took the chaos to another level when they began to run while jumping around in his room, scattering all of his things from their places.

"---oowwwwwouch! (---nnooooooouch!)"

One book even hit Cahaya's head while the cat was busy yowling in a high-pitched voice, making the cat faceplant on the floor.

Boboiboy wanted to check on Cahaya after that happened but----

"Air, please get off me. I want to check on Cahaya," He pleaded for who-knows-how many times to the cat on his lap.

"Mrre..owee... (He'll...be fine...)" Air, after he meowed to him (which he didn't even understand) only made himself more comfortable on his lap.

He tried to remove the cat. He really did, but well...you know how big and heavy a Maine Coon was.

And so, he gave up.

Boboiboy looked back to Cahaya and found that the cream-coloured cat seemed to have recovered from the accident, judging by how he enjoyed reading the book that caused the bump on his head while moving his tail back and forth.

Finding that Cahaya seemed fine, he looked toward the other cats.

Petir looked unbothered by the chaos, settling in his own space while licking his paw like a normal, typical cat.

Tanah was running around (thankfully still on the floor) following the three cats that were causing damage to his room (...and to his mental state) while meowing to them, maybe telling them to stop running around.

Unfortunately, they didn't even hear it.

They were still running and even upped their chaos to a whole new level by adding their powers (oh, God) to the mix.

Now, instead of just running around, Angin used his power to fly around the room.

Daun used his vines to lift himself into the air, following Angin's lead.

Thankfully, Api didn't follow the others' lead and instead chose to run around normally.

Though his relief was short-lived.

A few seconds after he thought that, Api then stepped on one of the many books lying around and it somehow burst into flames.

Api blinked before he resumed chasing after the two cats, ignoring the burning pile he left behind.

When Boboiboy looked at it again, he realised that it was one of his maths exercise books.

A destroyed room, his things scattered around with some of them broken, and to add icing to the cake, his maths exercise book---the one to be collected tomorrow---had burst into flames.

He could feel a tear sliding down his cheek.

BANG!

"Boboiboy!"

Notes:

Originally written in Malay with three chapter as a joke but I like it enough to translate it in English. But now I didn't know how much chapter will it be later on as I try to write it seriously.

And yeah, I will try to address every mystery in this story before I finished it.

Chapter 3

Summary:

Boboiboy's suffering in Fang's perspective.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

After almost an hour of waiting for the only one left in their group to come, Fang decided to just go and drag his friend here.

He probably forgot about their study group session. Again.

(It wasn't the first time he had done so.)

"I'll go get Boboiboy here," Was the last thing he said to them before he walked away.

And here he was, right in front of Tok Aba's house just to pick that guy up. Just as he was about to knock the door----

"mwemwemwemwe--! (Wwwhhhhheeeeyyy--!)"

"Meowie meow--! (Wait for me, Angin--!)"

"Mrreoww mieeeoww--! (Angin, Daun, wait for me--!)"

----Strange noises were heard.

"...Is that a cat noise?" Since when had Boboiboy or Tok Aba adopted cats though? Multiple even, judging by the noises.

He furrowed his eyebrows, a little confused.

What made him even more confused (and also a little bit worried) was the crashing and the thudding noises that came inside the house.

And it was only getting louder.

Fang knocked the door a bit more insistently than he planned while attempting to twist the doorknob at the same time.

Click!

...It turned out that the door was unlocked. Aish, Boboiboy was really careless---no, he didn't have time for that!

Fang hurriedly went inside the house and instantly knew that the noise came from above.

He then climbed the stairs as fast as he could (almost fell a few times) and went toward the source of the noise, which was Boboiboy's room.

And then------

BAM!

"Boboiboy!"

Overturned chair, books scattered about (why was a book burning?), multiple scratches on the wall and--------

"Meow? (Fang?)"

"Mrreow! (Oh, it's Fang!)"

"Meowy meowu! (Yay, Fang is here!)"

"Mweowe meow! (Please help Master, Fang!)"

----Cats. Multiple cats with multiple levels of ridiculousness that wore strangely familiar tiny hats and had....powers.

Powers that they used freely to cause more chaos.

Fang looked at his friend to see that his friend was crying with a blank expression that seemed to say that he was done with life.

But well....

He looked back at the scene before him.

Angin began flying again.

Daun followed after him with his vines.

Api accidentally burned another book.

Air woke up and (thankfully) extinguished the fire with his power before he went back to sleep.

Cahaya started using his power to reach a book he wanted while unknowingly making other books fall from their place.

Tanah seemed to give up, mirroring his Master's blank look.

And then there was Petir, who was minding his own business, licking his left paw.

...Fang couldn't fault him for looking like that.

Notes:

I can't sleep.

Might as well write another chapter.

Chapter 4

Summary:

Fang trying to deal with Boboiboy's cats while Boboiboy himself checked out from reality in the background.

Chapter Text

Fang was a good friend.

And because he was such a good friend (Boboiboy won't snap out of his depressed mode soon), he tried helping Boboiboy herding his cats in one place while managing their chaos at the same time.

It was harder than he expected.

Petir's fine as he was still in his own corner, settling himself in a typical loaf position of a cat. Air's fine as he was still peacefully sleeping on Boboiboy's lap, not even caring about his Master's despair like a typical cold-blooded cat. Cahaya's fine as he was distracted reading a pretty thick book and he probably won't used his power again anytime soon. Tanah's also fine----okay, not really fine based on his empty look but well, he was still sitting at the same place from earlier and to Fang, he was fine enough.

The problems laid in the form of three cats.

Angin, Api and Daun.

Trying to capture Angin while he was flying was impossible when he moved like he was the wind himself.

(He was technically one though.)

Then, there was Daun who lifted himself in the air using his vines and swung right after Angin. He was too slippery for him to caught, even using his shadow power seemed to not gave him a good result.

And the only one left was Api. The Bengal cat only used his power occasionally, so he thought he can managed him.

---Or so he thought.

Like all things that started with "I think I can manage that", it always ended with a tragedy of its own.

At first, everything was fine.

He had successfully caught Api in his hands, letting him wiggled and everything without letting him go. After a few minutes of him (Api) struggling, he finally gave up and chose to glare at him with his head tilted upward.

(Cute.)

Everything until there was fine until a few seconds later.

"Waah!!"

His tie somehow combusted into flame.

Because of the shock, he accidently threw Api away from him. Thankfully he landed perfectly on the floor. The perk of being a cat he guess----but who cared about that!?

His tie was currently burning!

(Abang would be mad about this----)

Fang, too focused on his own burning tie and the relief that came right after it wiped out, didn't even realise that he had accidentally stepped on Petir's bushy tail.

"Meouch! (Ouch!)"

And Petir, known to have the shortest amount of patience, started channeling his power through that and-----

BZZTT!

"Fang!"

---shocked Fang with his lightning power.

Boboiboy's panicked face was the last thing he saw before darkness engulfed him.

Chapter 5

Summary:

The rest of the Kokotaim Gang began to get worried.

Chapter Text

"I'll get Boboiboy" Was the last thing she heard from Fang before he disappeared from her sight.

At that time, all of them were focused with their own homework (yes, even Gopal) that the only one who noticed his disappearance was Yaya herself.

And even then, she herself was distracted with her own homework, so she only hummed at him as a response to show that she heard him.

Five minutes passed. Then, ten minutes. After that, fifteen minutes-----wait.

Yaya furrowed her eyebrows. Fang shouldn't take long to get their friend here. Boboiboy's house (Tok Aba, really) was only a short walk away from Kokotiam Tok Aba's Shop.

They should be here by now.

"Hey, don't you think that they took too much time to arrive here?" She asked her friends, who lifted their heads from their own homework to look at her.

Ying pursed her lips. "That's true," She mused, the pen in her hand was twirled absent-mindedly.

Gopal sitting across them seemed to nod at her words. He was on his phone five minutes ago, claiming that he wanted to take a break for a bit.

"I'll get----" Just as she was about to lift herself from her seat, her powerwatch lit up, indicating a call was coming through.

Yaya sat herself back and picked up the call. The other two instinctively leaned in (Ying from beside her while Gopal from the front) to see the tiny screen that was projected from the powerwatch.

"Yaaayyyaaaaa-----!" Boboiboy's crying face came into view. His whining voice came with the background noises of something crashing and thudding, also the sounds of ...cats?

...Since when Tok Aba and Boboiboy took up cats?

She squinted her eyes, pondering.

"sniff, please help me..." Her crying friend continued after a few seconds, a little bit calm than before while occasionally sniffing, tears still streaming down his face.

"What's wrong with you?" Asked Ying from beside her.

"Also, where's Fang?" Added Gopal from his place.

Their only answer was Boboiboy's sniffing noise, which was barely heard because of the background noises taking over everything and then something blurry fell from above.

"Nyeeewwww! (Maasssterrr!)"

That was the last thing they heard before the connection was cut off.

The three of them looked at each other, worried.

(They then decided to go check on their friends.)

Chapter 6

Summary:

Yaya and the rest of Kokotaim gang went to visit.

Chapter Text

When they arrived there, Tok Aba's front door was wide open, very inviting for a thief to steal things.

Luckily, they weren't thieves though.

All of them rushed up the stairs (not without closing the door first) in their own way----Yaya with her gravity manipulation, she flew through a flight of stairs. Ying with her time manipulation power, she quickly climbed the stairs in a blur of blue and yellow. Gopal with---hm, his molecule manipulation power have no use in this situation. So, he was stucked climbing up the stairs the old-fashioned way.

(He was of course left behind by them.)

"What the fu-frick!?" Yaya could hear her friend, Ying, almost cursed (she rarely curse) in the room and when she arrived there a few seconds after Ying, she could understand why.

Boboiboy and Fang were down for the count in not-so-elite way.

"...Meowie? (...Everyone?)"

Right. There's the cats too.

The cats surrounded the both of them, meowing sadly while pawing their unconscious body in an attempt to wake them up.

They didn't wake up of course.

Yaya scratched her cheek while exchanging looks with her friend, silently conversing with their eyes.

They could feel so many eyes focused on them while they were silently conversing with their eyes, it felt so intense that they were a bit uncomfortable with it.

The silence that was once comfortable quickly became the opposite of it, because of the cats' stare.

"Lah, why are they sleeping here?" That one line thrown by their recently arrived friend (he 'stole' some of Boboiboy's snacks , no wonder he was late), cut through their silence while casually eating potato chips from its bag.

When the words finally registered in her head, Yaya can only deadpanned at him.

"Are you blind?"

(Boboiboy and Fang were unconscious on the floor, in very not-elite way even, and he said they were sleeping? Unbelievable.)

Chapter 7

Summary:

This was all Cahaya's fault.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Boboiboy woke up to multiple eyes staring at him.

Yes, including the cats.

"Nyaw? (Master?)" One of the cat---Tanah---pat his paw on his toe.

He blinked slowly, ignoring Tanah to look beside him to see Fang stirring and looked at his friends back.

"...What happened?" He asked.

Yaya lifted an eyebrow. "Why are you asking us? You're the one that supposed to know what happened here" Was what she said.

Boboiboy blinked again before he scratched his cheek because well, she's right.

"Mrreow meow! (Master's awake!)"

"Mrreow! (Master!)"

"Mrreowiee! (Yyyaaayyyy!)"

When he turned his head towards the source of the noises, it was to the sight of a pink floating sphere filled with three hyperactive cats beside Yaya.

It was pretty big. He kind of wondered why he didn't noticed it before.

But, oh well. At least they were contained in one place.

(He honestly had no strength left to deal with them.)

"Mrreow? (Master?)"

He took Tanah in his arms and hugged him, readying himself for the interrogation that was about to happen.

"Were they your Elementals, Boboiboy?" Asked Yaya, eyes sharp with arms crossed on her chest. One of her hand glowing while using her power to trap the cats (Angin, Api and Daun only) in a floating Sphere.

(As usual, she never beat around the bush.)

The rest of Boboiboy's friends were no better as they too were watching him with the same look and various pose, making Boboiboy felt nervous to answer it. He in fact tightened his hug on Tanah but hurriedly loosened it when Tanah meowed at him.

"...Yeah" He answered after a beat.

Gopal frowned. "Did your watch malfunction again?" Boboiboy couldn't fault them for thinking that. His powerwatch malfunctioning once in a while was no stranger to them, especially after their battle in Gur'latan Planet.

But that's not the only reason.

His eyes unconsciously traveled to one of the cats that wasn't trapped in the sphere, Cahaya.

Cahaya pretended to not notice his look and pretend to be a normal cat by licking his paw, unintentionally in synchronisation with Petir who was still licking his paw.

He deadpanned. "It was also because Cahaya had been doing experiment on it" He said, eyes still focused on Cahaya's body.

After he said that, every eyes in the room focused on Cahaya who began to tremble from the force of the gaze.

Notes:

...How to write a multi-chapter story? Honestly, I mostly wrote oneshots, so I never really wrote a multi-chapter one much. One of the reason why writing this took time even if the chapters were short.
