The warm, humid air of the WordWorld jungle clings to Sheep’s fleece as Monkey, with a flourish, peels a B right A pple-green N ana, revealing the soft, pale fruit within. He expertly L oads the last of the golden B ananas into a sturdy C art, its wooden W heels creaking softly. “There! A banana cart!” Monkey exclaims, his long A rms stretching proudly. “Perfect for your song, Sheep!”
Sheep gazes at the overflowing cart, her E yes, usually so bright with curiosity, now dim with D oubt. A banana cart for Bear? Bear, who loves to H ug and R ead? It just doesn’t feel right, not for a V alentine. A sigh escapes her, tiny P uffs of air disturbing the dust on the jungle floor
“Oh, Fly,” she whispers, her voice barely a W hisper, “it’s just… not Bear.”
Her fluffy T ail droops, and a wave of H opelessness washes over her. She imagines Bear trying to cuddle a cart full of bananas, and a little F rown forms on her face. Fly, ever the O ptimist, flits around her head, his tiny W ings B uzzing like a miniature H ummingbird.
“Don’t give up, Sheep! We’ll find it!”
They turn and start their L ong W alk home, the jungle sounds fading into the D istance. The sun begins its S low D escent, painting the sky in hues of O range and P ink. Sheep hums the melody she and Fly created, her feet T apping a quiet rhythm on the P ath. She sings the words softly, trying out the new ending. “ I made a song just for you, Bear, my friend, / A special message, from beginning to end… ” She pauses, then, her voice filled with a S mall S adness, she finishes, “ ...but now I have a sad, sad heart. ” The words hang in the air, heavy and H eavy, mirroring the D ejection she feels.
Suddenly, her E yes widen, a spark of pure J oy igniting within them. She stops, her head tilting. “Wait a minute, Fly!” she chirps, her voice a newfound B rightness. “A S ad, S ad H eart… sounds like… a V alentine H eart!” The letters for H eart, which have been S hining faintly in her mind, suddenly S parkle with a brilliant G low. It's the perfect rhyme, the perfect gift! Fly spins in excited C ircles, practically G lowing with D elight. “That’s it, Sheep! A Valentine HEART!”
They rush back to the L etter C orral, their paws P atting quickly over the soft G rass. With nimble movements, Sheep G athers the large, wooden letters: H , E , A , R , T . Each letter is sturdy and smooth beneath her P aws. Together, she and Fly carefully A rrange them, one by one, until they S nap into place, forming the beautiful, red, three-dimensional WORD – H EART! It glows with a warm, inviting R adiance, a testament to their H ard W ork and F riendship. They carefully pick up the W ORD and carry it, their F aces alight with A nticipation, toward Dog’s house. Dog’s house, now bathed in the soft glow of twilight, buzzes with L aughter and J oy. The air is thick with the inviting A roma of Pig’s famous S paghetti and the sweet scent of his freshly baked T arts. WordFriends are D ancing, C hatting, and S haring their V alentines. Sheep and Fly G lide through the C rowd, their E yes scanning the R oom for Bear. She sits quietly by the F ireplace, reading a large B ook, a gentle S mile on her face. Sheep takes a deep B reath, her little H eart P ounding with E xcitement and a touch of N ervousness.
She approaches Bear, holding the glowing H EART. “Bear!” Sheep says, her voice soft but C lear. Bear looks up, her kind E yes blinking. Sheep begins to S ing, her voice sweet and T rue:
“I made a song just for you, Bear, my friend, A special message, from beginning to end. It’s full of thoughts, both tender and new, And all my love, meant just for you. I searched and searched for the perfect START, But what I found was a Valentine HEART!”
As the last words F loat into the air, Sheep holds out the radiant WORD -HEART. Bear’s E yes sparkle, and a wide, W arm S mile spreads across her face. She gently takes the H EART from Sheep, her paws closing around it with utter C ontentment.
“Oh, Sheep,” Bear murmurs, her voice filled with G enuine A ppreciation, “it’s absolutely perfect.”
A wave of warmth washes over Sheep as Bear pulls her into a soft, comforting H ug, making Sheep’s own little H eart feel full and H appy.
