Work Text:
Noé gazes upon Vanitas through the mirror, both of which were getting ready for yet another cursebearer curing mission. This time, the patient is getting married. The two were expected to wear fancy suits to blend in with guests.
There, the vampire watches from the mirror as Vanitas struggles with his tie, eyebrows furrowed and deep blue eyes focused. He can’t help but to stare, there was just something about Vanitas that Noé thought was so… captivating? Maybe that’s the word, but his stomach ties into knots and his face flushes further the longer he looks.
“You’re beautiful.” Noé whispers under his breath. The words glide easily off his tongue, too mesmerized by the beauty of Vanitas to realize.
Whether if the boy intentionally or unintentionally let these words slip is unknown.
“What was that, Noé?” Vanitas asks, too busy with his own struggles to pay attention.
“huh? What did I say?” The vampire breaks out of his daze, innocently rubbing the back of his neck.
Vanitas shakes his head, brow raised as they make eye contact through the mirror. “Mind telling me why you look like a tomato?”
