Work Text:

You haven’t regressed in months and God…It was noticeable. You were easily frustrated, Even the simplest things set you off. Your usual speed and agility during missions was no longer there, You barely completed them in time! Though despite all of this, You refused to give into the fuzziness that your regressed mindset provided. I mean, Why should you? You always felt like a burden when you weren’t. John noticed this.

John Price was the team’s captain and the most fatherly one out of everyone. He was naturally a caregiver. Though the usually patient man couldn’t put up with watching your mental health deteriorate anymore, He was worried about you and he wanted his baby back. So, He made a plan to coax you into regressing. He just needed to find a way to put it into motion…

“You wanted me to come here?”

You entered John’s office. The sun had set not too long ago, So the room was lit up by a few lamps. As he closed the curtains, He nodded.

“Indeed I did, I just wanted to have a small talk with you.”
He responded in a calm tone. Even if it eased just a small portion of the anxiety you were feeling at the moment, There was definitely a lot left.

“Have a seat, Get comfortable while I put some things away, Darling.”

You fell silent the second he called you the pet name. It always made you feel that fuzzy feeling that you missed but refused to give into. Any pet name did that to you actually. But, There were a few that were guaranteed to cause reactions like this. Darling…Baby…And just being babied in general.

He could sense the inner turmoil you were experiencing, It was incredibly noticeable. Although he knew you weren’t feeling many positive emotions, He smiled, Knowing you were close to slipping into that small headspace that he missed dearly.

With each tick of his clock, Your anxiety seemed to worsen. You wanted to give in so bad, You wanted him to take care of you again, To hold and love you again. Minutes went by until a soft voice had snapped you out of your dreadful thoughts.

“Baby?” *It was Price.*

“Baby, It’s me, You’re alright.” *Your face was wet, Have you been crying?*

With a bit of speed, You wrapped your arms around him, Hugging him tightly. You feared that if you let go, He’d disappear and you’d never have anyone to care for you while you were little again.

John found this good though. He was happy that you finally felt comfortable enough to be little once more. The fact you were able to show your emotions around him too. He simply reciprocated the hug, Engulfing you in warmth.

Tonight was going to be a nice, quiet night. A night to relax.
