Work Text:
Osana study buddy - Quick sesson
YN: Hi, Najimi-senpai.
ON: Hm? Who are you?
YN: My name is [y/n].
ON: Whaddya doin’ talking to me? You want snacks or something?
YN: A snack couldn’t hurt, but I actually want you.
ON: Me??? What for?
YN: Let’s study together.
ON: Uhh, you sure you got the right person, pal?
YN nods.
ON: I’d like to ask what brought you to this conclusion. I’m not even sure if I’m gonna pass this year.
YN: Well, you’re hardworking, aren’t you?
ON: Yeah, but not about schoolwork.
YN: That’s good enough for me!
ON: Really now? That’s really bold; you’d best know you’ll be getting an F.
YN: With my help, we’ll both pass!
Osana rubs her forehead.
ON: Well, I suppose it’s just one time
YN: One time? You sure about that?
ON: No way you’d want to do this more than once.
YN: Oh, I plan on it~
ON: Oh, really now?
YN: Mmhm! I know a place!
Osana and YN study together, Osana gently ribbing YN and teasing her along the way.
Osana study buddy - Language Arts
After school - Shiranami High
ON: Oh goodness, I suppose you weren’t kidding
YN: Nope! I’m still doing the work, so don’t complain so hard.
ON: Sure, fine. Whatever. What is it this time?
YN: Language Arts.
ON: Geez, good luck with that.
YN: Yeah, it’s a 1000+ words
ON: Yeah, no, I cannot help you with that!
YN: I know. Just keep track of things and keep me grounded, alright?
Osana sighs
ON: You’re asking a lot from me, pal.
YN: I know.
ON: Well, you ready?
After school - Study Environment
YN nods and decides to head towards today’s location for studying.
ON: Ah, this is the spot today, eh? Real quiet. Good for productivity, I suppose.
YN: Yup! Oh, I gotta discussion post due this week too!
ON: You know, I still can’t believe you’ve asked me for help. We barely did much last time.
YN: Well, I like how blunt you are. Though you should try harder, methinks.
ON: Oh, as if!
YN: Aw, I got a stupid 88.61% in language arts!
ON: What?! Are you seriously upset about that?! I’m not in the 80s, I’ll tell you that!
YN: Ah, I did terribly on the stupid emotional essay. Does that mean my sensei hates me? Was my personal story not enough? I was my most honest self, yet I got a 76 on it.
ON: Aw, don’t take it so personally. She’s just doing her job. It means nothing coming from her. Think of her as just a machine briefly reading papers and stamping a grade on it. It’s not your fault that she can’t connect to another human being.
YN: Thanks.
ON: No problem.
YN: Damn, she even recorded some notes for me. Should I listen to it?
ON: Only if you want to.
YN: Oh, that could demotivate me. Maybe for now I’ll keep it on the back burner
ON: Alright
Many minutes pass by, typing away and maybe looking at social media or otherwise to distract from the assignment.
ON: It looks like you’re slacking. Am I right?
YN: W-What?! Not at all!!!
ON: Heh, sure. I have a handful of siblings; I can tell that you’re lying.
YN: Ugh, well, maybe a little. I’m just scared that it won’t be enough.
ON: Like the last work?
YN: Yeah.
ON: Well, any attempt is better than no attempt. I know that from personal experience!
Osana boasts and slouches in her seat.
YN: Haha, of course. For a third year, you sure are lazy.
ON: My skills are more practical, not academic.
YN: Really now? What do you do?
ON: Gaming, self defense, soapstone carving, hiking, that sorta thing. You?
YN: Well, I like…
ON: … That’s cool. Anyways get back to work.
YN: How can you say that when you’re literally slouching and doing nothing?
ON: I’m the third year and you’re not. Also, you invited me out again, despite last time.
(Ehh, she’s gotta point)
Osana smirks and watches YN work their buns off.
