Undertale Bosses

Summary:

You are on a quest to die to every boss in the underground, just to see what happens.

Notes:

I honestly don't know what inner demon possessed me to make this. Anyway, I hope this is cool or something!

Chapter 1: Toriel

Chapter Text

Your movements almost seem scripted, dodge this attack, get hit by that one, you know exactly what to do. Toriel notices this, made clear by the confused look on her face. Every fireball that hits its target, you really feel. You feel as it burns your clothes, licking your skin and causing your nervous system to panic. You also feel as your hair is singed, evident by the fact that your scalp now feels as warm as the rest of you. As your HP approaches 0, Toriel begins to look reluctant. She seems like she's trying to end her current attack, but you know she's not able to. You get a glance of the goat mom and see the look of sheer horror of her face along with her covering her mouth. But you only see this for a moment before you get hit by one last fireball.

Chapter 2: Papyrus

Summary:

Now you are facing the puzzle enthusiast skeleton.

Notes:

Sorry for the slow updates, I mostly write this when I'm bored at church where it's hard to concentrate. ;-;

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

This is your seventeenth attempt and you're starting to get pissed. Your first try consisted of brute forcing it like you did with Toriel. During the second one, you tried to come up with a way to distract Papyrus so he wouldn't end his attack early again. The third was similar to the first, but this time you incorporated the distraction plan into it. You tried flirting with the skeleton to get him to drop his guard. You even tried telling him all your best puns, which only served to piss him off. Of course, all of those ideas failed. You tell yourself that this will be your final attempt. Before approaching Papyrus again, you ask Sans to watch the battle this time. He agrees, though not without some understandable suspicion. The Battle begins the same way as all the other attempts. Bones that are sharper than they look pierce your skin, being coated in your shining blood as they stick out on the other side. Your movements become sluggish as the blood loss gets to your head. During his last attack, as you are on 2 HP, you force out the words, "hi Sans!" Surprisingly, this causes the tall skeleton to pause. He jerks his head in the direction of where his brother is, not thinking to end his attack. He yells something at the short skeleton angrily, but you don't hear what the words are. His head then snaps back to you just in time to see a look of triumph of your face as you become limp in front of his eyes.

Notes:

I'll try to update this at least every other week on Monday or Sunday if I'm lucky. (At least until we get to Mettaton, who I'm honestly dreading writing the chapter of)

Chapter 3: Undyne

Summary:

The captain of the royal guard is your opponent now.

Notes:

I was filled with DETERMINATION when writing this chapter :D

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

You stare at the large fish monster and she stares back (more menacingly). She is very determined to kill you, that makes your goal much easier. Undyne is like a breath of fresh air to you after the struggles of Toriel and especially Papyrus. Your soul is now green and you have a spear that acts as a shield to block attacks. You think, fuck that shit, and allow the spears to embed themselves in your flesh. The captain notices the fact that you aren't fighting back and gets a little bit mad. The more spears you let hit you, the more angry the royal guard gets. Once she seems like she's about to snap, you decide to block a few spears, just to be sure she won't stop attacking. Undyne appreciates your effort to be more of a challenge. The spears that are stuck in you seem to change colors as they are soaked in your blood. At this point you look more like a purple hedgehog than a human. You only hear the fish shout in success for a moment before the world fades to black.

Notes:

I'm feeling like the descriptions are a bit lackluster compared to Toriel's chapter but maybe I'm just downgrading myself, unrelated to this, I've been obsessed with Hollow Knight and have played about 10 hours in three days. will probably write something for it after I finish it and Silksong, or maybe not, idk ¯\_('-')_/¯

Chapter 4: Muffet

Summary:

The next step in your journey is none other than the capitalist spider, Muffet!

Notes:

Y'all, when I said every 1-2 Sunday/Monday I did not expect that I would be able to focus enough to write these in one, I'm proud of myself! (*´ω`*)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

You stare intensely at the spider as she pours you a very large cup of cider. You wonder if drowning in the drink is an option before it disappears, your soul now being the same purple as the cider was. You find yourself still trapped in webs but now you're... floating? You look around and notice three lines that, once again, are the same shade of purple as the cider was. This spider must really like the color purple, you think. You try to move and get flung to the line that's below you, you then try the other way and get flung to the one you were on before. That's neat. You find out that Muffet doesn't like doing her own dirty work when you feel many pairs of tiny fangs dig into your skin. You shudder as you feel the little spiders' venom coursing through your veins. More spiders come to bite you before their leader... throws spider donuts at you?! And they do damage!?! This battle is so weird. You decide to dodge the next few attacks to see what else Muffet might throw at you. It turns out she also has croissants... that act as boomerangs... huh. She says something about breakfast but you don't pay attention until she mentions a pet and some kind of spider-cupcake-dog thing jumps to snap at you. As it bits down, you see not blood, but venom leaks out before you meet your demise.

Notes:

Sooooooo, I have no ideas for Mettaton, if anyone has any I would be very grateful but if not I'll just try to come up with some myself but either way this fic will be on hiatus and I'll work on a new one! Also, does this chapter feel more goofy than the others?

Notes:

If you're reading this, what did you think?
