Another boring day working in a cafe for Yeona Jeung.

Sure it gave her a getaway from home, and the money was a bonus, but it was starting to get… repetitive.

Plaster a fake smile, deal with annoying customers, deal with customers who harassed her for her STAR*STRUCK pin, switch shifts with a coworker, do the dishes, pack up, leave.

She wondered if she would ever get a better paying job and be able to move to a safer, calmer home. But that was a distant dream- so she just stuck to thinking about STAR*STRUCK and coffee.

There hadn't been a customer in a while, and Yeona was considering making herself a hot chocolate and leaving her shift half an hour early when the door opened, waking her up as the bells chimed softly.

Sigh… hopefully they're not arrogant or impatient…’ She thought as she plastered her most cheerful smile, turning to look at the person before she froze, her lips parting slightly.

A guy that looked around her age (she hoped he was around her age) was standing at the counter, his brown fluffy hair just covering his midnight blue eyes–

Her eyes widened and she immediately composed herself, pinching her arm under the counter.

Geez Yeona– stop fantasising about the new customer and get his order!… You probably look like a drooling mess to him!…

“Hi!” She congratulated herself for keeping a straight voice. “What can I get you?”

He glanced at her, causing her breath to hitch before he looked up at the menu above her head.

“Uh… can I have avocado toast, please? Oh and a Long Black.”

Yeona thought she was safe from falling.
All hope was lost after she heard his voice.

It wasn't like Byung-ho or any of the STAR*STRUCK members, who had voices made for singing and charming an entire audience, but to her? His low voice was a ballad to her ears– she could probably listen to him for days.

She tried her best not to stutter or blush as she simply nodded, putting up the price onto the eftpos.
“…That will be 14 dollars and 98 cents, please.” Yeona drummed her fingers on the counter as she waited extremely long for him to grab his card and pay, before offering a sheepish smile.

“Thank you! Please take one of the buzzers– We’ll have your order shortly!”

The guy looked at her again as she slid a thin black box across the countertop for him to grab, and she almost wobbled as he flashed a small smile that made her knees weak, before he walked away to a table with the buzzer in hand.

Sigh… he’s probably got a girlfriend or boyfriend already… gosh… I feel like jelly...
