James loves kissing.
Any type of kissing.
Sometimes he likes sweet kisses to the hand or the forehead. Sometimes he prefers light teasing kisses to his ear or cheek. Sometimes he adores nose kisses and silly eskimo kisses.
But when he’s in the mood, there’s only one type of kiss that will get him what he wants – a neck kiss.
This is why he opts to find subtle ways to get Sirius’ attention with neck kisses.
He finds Sirius laying on the couch, reading a book. He makes his way over to Sirius, squeezing between the back of the couch and Sirius’ body as he settles in laying down besides him, Sirius’ arm automatically falling around his shoulders.
He tries to be a bit subtle about it, not going for the kiss just yet, but seeming to just cuddle with him as he reads.
Sirius pretends not to notice James, but as James positions himself to kiss Sirius’ neck, he asks, “Can I help you, Jay?”
James hums. “Just want to cuddle.”
Sirius gives him a look. “Then, why don’t I believe you?”
“Because you’re a terrible boyfriend that doesn’t believe his lover?” James teasingly offers.
Sirius barks out a laugh. “Sure, that’s it. Just going to go back to reading, then.”
“Go ahead, I’m just making myself comfortable.”
“Totally believe you,” Sirius states, not looking at him.
James waits.
Staring at him a bit, he’s so damn beautiful, it’s unfair.
He watches Sirius studiously keeps reading for a few minutes, but he knows he’s just waiting… waiting for James to strike.
Which he does after counting ten minutes in his head.
It’s light at first, almost easily missed. Sirius pretends he doesn’t notice it.
So, James does it again, and again, and again until his lips barely leave Sirius’ neck, and Sirius has no choice, but to pay attention to him.
Sirius carefully sets the book on the nearby table and then shifts so that as soon as James stops sucking on his neck, he can get into a position on top of James, pinning him down.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“I – er – I was just entertaining myself… while you entertained yourself.”
He gives him his best attempt at an innocent look.
Sirius clearly isn’t buying it as he looks down at James.
Sirius hums and narrows his eyes. “Well, I’m not here for your entertainment.”
James bucks his hips up into Sirius, which causes him to hiss. “Well, I’m here for your entertainment.”
Sirius leans down and licks his nose. “Oh, you are, are you?”
“Always.”
Sirius grins. “Good.”
And with that, James gets exactly what he’d been looking for all along and it’s awesome.
