The pangolin hybrid was sitting slightly on the side path that led to the kingdom of fools and to his therapy office. His sunglasses were over his ocean blue eyes that many found adorable, his scaled tail was protecting his body over whatever threat he sensed. His hands were on top of his knees as he stared onto the stone.
Onto the grave he made for his friend, the cornflowers on top of the mud were the chest was were her stuff was inside. Unlike Aimsey, the pangolin didn't fully deny the death that had happened just on the friday, 14th of april.
Normally, flowers only die on mondays or so he was told. But theirs died on a friday, which pangi told himself meant that she was a special flower. Atleast to him and Aimsey.
The sun was setting down slowly when he felt a slight weight on his shoulders. Aimsey had a soft smile on their face as they sat down next to the boy. "Hey.. how you feeling?" It came out slowly and a crack could be heard from aimee. Pangi took the hand from his shoulder into his hands as he said with a tensed voice that was quiet "could be better, how are you holding up?"
They seemed to mumble, getting slightly louder having noticed that the other hasn't answered. "I don't believe she is dead, pangi.. She can't be." Pangi noticed immediatly the denial of his bestfriend. Brushing their legs together while slightly bringing them into a side-hug.
"Aimee, i know, but we just.." he cut himself off before finishing his sentence, knowing that he isn't the best with using the right words in the wrongest way and that the other could interprete it in a way they shouldn't. Happened to often on Lifesteal.
"We just..?" Aimsey questioned, lifting their head to look at the scaled boy who was slightly panicking as he tried to find the right words to finish his sentence. Aimsey catched the quiet panic and spoke softly to the person holding them. "Take your time"
"We cannot deny it forever." He ends up saying as he sighs, the fresh air hitting the skin of the two. Aimsey nodded just enough for the other to see, "you know.. i have been worrying. Especially about you" he spaced out while the words came out of his mouth. The warden took the sunglasses of the others and layed them down onto the floor. Were the grave of their beloved is.
"I miss her." They pointed out, letting the comfortable silence come over them. They could hear footsteps around them, fireworks being used in the air. Talking somewhere near the libary but they stayed were they were.
"I miss her too." The words came out pretty hesitated and also slightly slurred as if getting words out was hard to do. Aimsey let they're head fall onto the shoulder that held to two at the moment together. The corrupted pangolin has glassy eyes as if tears were close to spilling, far away from crying was the hybrid neither.
"She will come back, right.?" He questioned carefully as he let his hand fall onto the others shoulder while the warden buried their face in the crook of the neck. The tears falling slowly from their eyes, the tears being soaked by the hoodie pangi is wearing.
"Yeah, she will." The other slurred as she cracked up trying to end their sentence. Pangi just nodded and humm'd to calm the two down from the emotional wrecks they felt like they could be within this moment. The realisation hitting the warden the other held in his arms to anchor them hard.
"It will be fine.. She had nothing to do with the corruption.. she won't end up like you pangi." He thought out loudly. Aimsey hugged the other tightly as if they tried to run away while the tears spilled.
'We will be fine.' His thoughts told himself as he anchored the warden in his arms while trying not to break down himself. He knew he could, he knew he could let it spill but he wanted to stay strong. Strong for aimsey and for roscumber.
The scaled tail went around aimsey, holding them closly as they clawed themselfs to the pangolin.
